buy puma armastern runners best everything
puma armstern best comfort runner bugger boots there heavy and uncomfort and cost big money i bought them all i reccomend u like these
Snapped zip. Terrible customer service. Company must have been sold.
After owning a pair of steel blue boots for 3 years and being satisfied with the quality, I decided to pickup a 2nd, replacement pair. 3 months in, the zip snaps, I assume it’s an isolated issue, return them, get a replacement, off I go. 7months later the zip snaps again. I take them back to RSEA and am told that they are out of their 6 month warranty and there’s nothing they can do and am told that it was most likely my fault because I probably got the boots wet (these are $240 construction boots). I email steel blue customer service and recei...ve some of the rudest treatment I have dealt with from any retailer. Im told to bad So sad and that I have had “a fair go” And there’s nothing they are going to do. No refund, replacement or repair. $240 for boots that lasted 10 months. After reading some of the reviews on here I suppose I should consider myself lucky that they even bothered to replace them after 3 months. ‘Australian made’ my @#$. I’ll be buying Chinese next go around.
Don't buy pink boots!
Over the years Ive owned a few pairs but the pink ones were the worst! Got them wet due to my work and the dye seeped through and onto my feet and stained them. Also really difficult to break in, took at least a month of constant wear.
I bought steel blue argyle at first they were comfortable but shortly after the sole became hard and painful to walk in also they got a bit wet and the velcro strap on top wont stick anymore then the steel toe started rubbing a hole in my toe nail not real happy i will change boots now its hard to get good boots with memory foam or good soles that last
Boot sole exfoliated
Had a big rap on steel blue boots once but not so now.
Didn’t mind paying double the price for aussie quality.
But unless you use these boots regularly and wear out the sole through regular use they will fail if you dare to keep them for any length of time and only use them casually in the colder months. The sole just decomposes.
Why it hasn’t occurred to Steel Blue and others to find a more stable product that delivers the same function and has some longevity is astonishing given the negative experience this has resulted in and the damage to t...
I dont normally write reviews, but am really annoyed that these pricey boots havent lasted long. They were only worn 5-6 times during the year. Now the soles on both boots is peeling away. Top half of the boot is still in brand new condition. Throw away. What a waste of money and Steel Blue don't want to know anything about them because they are over a year old.
Steel Blue Howler Boots
Have had the boots on a shelf in my garage for a few years and went to use them but found the sole had all gone soft and sticky. They are still in brand new condition other than this. Notified Steel Blue and they said yes that happens. Sent some pictures over and no reply until I asked if they had received them,Yes have the pictures, nothing you can do throw them in the bin
Unfortunately, not much can be done as the midsole is gone and they will just fall apart if you wear them now. I would bin them

Avoid due to the way they are now manufactured- HUGE downgrade in quality of build
Steel Blue boots are the ONLY boots that have solved my back problems and the heels last for a great many years instead of other shoe's heels getting worn in or within a year due to orthotics and I have to throw them out.
My whole life changed with the Whyalla Steel Blue boots and with their solid heels, gave me such great support. I purchased a pair of black ones a few years back and they almost look like they were recently purchased as I wear them maybe 4-5 times a year (for weddings and other outings where i need black shoes but still forma...l looking enough for me, although they are steel caps) and to my disgust and embarrassment last night at a wedding, I find the heels have completely come off from back of shoe to 2/3rd the length of the shoe!!! The soles had came away from the boot and chunks of the soles started coming off and discarding black rubber junk all over the floors wherever i went! How pathetic! what a waste of money. I am so livid, and especially as they still look as new yet there is only one place for them now and that is in the bin. Its such a great pity as these have been my only shoe brand for almost 20 years and I even have a "wheat" colour to wear everywhere as my casual shoe- because tan looks casual and people dont know they are steel caps Don't take my word for it- there are other reviews that are the same. These shoes are definitely manufactured in such a cheap way, they are destined to fall apart.
Took numerous blisters in the right heel, but they eventually broke in. The trouble is with the front left, where I can only conclude that the steel cap wasn't placed properly, puts pressure on my little toe, causes redness and pain. Gonna try Mongrel, but it's getting harder to find quality in this world so idk. $175 Steel Blues were made in Indonesia from memory.
This is my second pair and i had the same problem with heel separation. I see that other people have had the same problem so its an inherent issue with this product. I would expect this to happen with cheaper brands so its a stay away from blue steel for me.
Avoid at all costs. They must have a new manufacturer
After several pairs of Steel Blue boots over the years without problems I went straight for another set recently.
What a waste of money.
They are no longer comfortable, the soles came away from the boot and chunks of the soles started coming off!
I took them back and was told they are all like that now and there was nothing they could do.
High Price For Extremely Poor Quality !!
I purchased these Steel Blue Tindal Zip Boots Online in early June 2020 and picked them up several days later. I noticed in mid too late November that the heel on the left hand boot had a large hole at the heel flex point. The right boot is on it's way to failing as well. I work week on week off so they have had approx 2-3 months "ACTUAL" work. Steel Blue don't want to know about it "too bad so sad" not their problem. They say it was because " the boots are being pulled off with the other boot on the heel" !! Something I have never done in my e...ntire working career.. Take a look at the heel of the boot, if that was the case the heel would have a lot of scuff marks !! They have failed at the flex point because they have not given the boot any heel flex point in the first place !! They will obviously try anything to dodge responsibility (Blame the consumer) for a failure in their product... $245 for a pair of boots that failed within less than 5-6 months with less than 3 months use !! Don't waste your money buying Steel Blue, they have dropped the ball big time on quality and fail completely with customer satisfaction and service.. Never again !!
On my 4th pair... -Steel blue Southern Cross lace up
Love these boots, they have amazing comfort it like walking on clouds. they are very solid so you can be very confident while you have them on. before i bought my first pair there were a lot of reviews saying the zip breaks after a few months of use but it never happened to me. they are slightly heavy but thats not really a bad thing.
all my pairs lasted about 2 - 3 years on heavy use. i just bought the spin fx version of the Southern cross so will see how they go and leave a review later on.
Purchased Steel blue Hobart boots 9 months ago, they fit poorly and hurt, i was told from the store they will stretch and get better, but they did not.
With Covid-19 i have not been able to get back to the store and now steel blue will not return or refund them, they are a terrible boot with terrible customer service, i am very disappointed in the response i have had.
Beware if you are thinking of these, there are a lot of other brands that may fit better.
Steel blue Hobart elastic Fell apart in 1 year
I bought a pair of Blue Steel Hobart boots which sadly fell apart after 1 years use. I thought paying the premium price they charge would give a high quality product, but don’t bother wasting your money. I tried taking them back to the workwear shop I purchased them from, to be told they only offer a 3 month warranty. I contacted Blue Steel directly to discuss the matter, which they did not bother even responding.
Save yourself the money and get a pair or King-gee or Blundstone- 30% cheaper, more comfortable, and last just as long.
