screens on 12 February 2026 and immediately agreed they were wrong. Even though Stegbar was paid 9 months ago, they are in no hurry to supply the replacement screen. BEST ADVICE - AVOID
Follow-up · It is over 2 months since Stegbar conceded that the security screen they provided was too small, but still no replacement. They promised to deliver the replacement screen on 16 April but never turned up. Now thy said that the person who handles rescheduling is away - WORSE THAN HOPELESS - DO NOT USE.

to say that he will no longer be our rep as he is no longer with the company and the replacement rep was a lady named [Name Removed]. What can i say, all the work that [Name Removed] had put in was gone in a matter of weeks.
Our order was set to be delivered early December however when the windows and sliding doors came for the 3 houses it was noted that one large window was missing and we advised the rep that this was the case to be told that the window was damaged and would be delivered next week which was fine. After that date had come and gone we followed up on the window and advised that the scaffold was being errected in a number of days and that it would be difficult to get that window in once the scaffold was up. I told the rep that because the carpenters had already finished errecting frames and installing all windows maybe would be best if they can organise the install once the windows were delivered, i was told that they dont have installers and if we wanted that then we would have to get our own guys to install. Window gets delivered as a flat pack late December or early Jan and because they were sent without reveals or any fixings i informed the rep our carpenters dont know how to install these windows. At this point we were told that they have a crew that can install but they are sub contracters and we would have to engage them. We ordered 2 of these windows one on the ground floor and one on top of it on the first floor, they sent it correctly for the ground floor all inside reveals and intact but for the first floor they sent them in frames as a flat pack missing items that were needed to be able to put them together. The rep doesn't answer calls, shes adamant that they not paying for the install and shes goin round in circles with us.
We have managed to find someone to install them for $1200 which is fine, its not going to make us or break us but Stegbar have just thrown away all the hard work that the original rep made in trying to get our business, we spend around $800k per year in windows and increasing in our Sydney Branch not including Melbourne so they have lost this, they need to get rid of this Rep and put someone there who has a little bit of PR skills. was manipulated into signing. And predictably, doors with the required hole the wrong size, in the wrong panel were fitted. Since that time in August, including a comprehensive complaint, except for one ridiculous email, I have not been able to get Stegbar Lansvale to acknowledge my existence (with the exception of accounts looking for the final payment). Do not believe assurances that “corrections will be made after the check measure” and avoid Stegbar Lansvale because they will certainly avoid you!
I’d give them 0 if I could. Windows were delivered 17/7. Sliding door arrived with half the fittings missing. One of the seven windows I ordered had 3 panels and required frosted glass in the lower half panels as parts of council requirements. It arrived without frosting in the centre panel! frosted??? It was also missing a cross bar. I asked if all issues could be fixed at the same time. They said yes. A month later they arrived and installed the sliding door correctly, but they “forgot” about the other issues. Now they have told me they will fix the cross bar but I should buy some stick on stuff for the frosted glass. The poor junior is tasked with reporting this to me and my repeated requests for a call from a manager have been ignored. I used these guys 40 years ago and they were great. Things have changed.
4/9 - I had a call from the Customer support Manage within 24 hours of this review being drafted on the 25/8, with a promise of giving me a solution by 29/8 (on the phone and email). It is now a week and a half since the call, and my calls and emails are going unanswered. When I finally got onto someone, the person charged with communicating with me was sick, so my issue was not passed on to anyone else to resolve while that person was away sick.
5/9 - finally have commitment that they will fix the problem after almost 2 months and so much wasted time. Now I will have to repaint the replacement window before it goes in (maybe a month away)
25/9 – waited for the delivery all day – when I called they told me it was rescheduled for the 30/9.
30/9 – after waiting all day again, I called and was told the window was dropped when being loaded early that morning, the glass needs to be replaced. No one called to tell me
10/10 – finally delivered, but to the incorrect address, installation due 13/10, luckily someone we knew
13/10 – installer went to the wrong address, no call to confirm correct address, installation rescheduled for 14/11 (nothing available earlier).
14/11 – it is now more than 4 months since the windows were originally delivered, the installers were upset that there was no scaffolding to allow access (it was removed a few months ago), but agreed to install the window - it is finally in. Not one apology or any acknowledgement of the time I have wasted getting this window built to specifications and re installed. The quality of the windows isn't great either. My builder tried to warn me!

Initial response was OK once photos were provided. Since late 2025 the Lansvale office has been a disaster in the lack of abilty to manage the schedule to replace the units. Firstly, they lost track of the units and ever since no emails have been responded to any calls have been given 'a put you on hold/or will call you back' which has ended with no immediate response/new info.
Follow-up · The main impact has been visual particularly during the seasonal changes - from warm to cool and then from cool to warm weather and once the season has established the windows remain clear and you would not be aware that they have a problem. Ben who heads service came out to check on product and delivery and just ironed out few issues from my installers not stegbar but he still fixed helped out and didn’t complain another great person . Worst after sales / installation follow up. 10 x Doors/windows installed on 8/8/25. The contractor noted some issues that will need to be fixed by the maintenance team. Have email the Newcastle showroom / Customer Support – keep getting the same nonesense, will follow up, pass on to the installation team, yet hear nothing.
Have called numerous times, the one time that someone looked into it, the paperwork was missing or not pass on to the maintenance / install team. Then mentioned that they busy next 2 months and TRY to squeeze me in!!!!!!!!!!!! HELLO im a currently customer with an incomplete job, finish mine before starting a new job……….. Screen doors apparently will be fixed by the supplier of them (which is not Stegbar). Yet I still haven’t had any contact from them.
17/10/25 – rang Newcastle showroom 915a 5 times and no answer. Called CSC again and was told that they will follow up again for the 100th time.
After sales service is diabolical, is there actually anybody in that department ? does it actually exist ?
Highly recommend you stay clear of this company for your building jobs.

Reached out to Brittney again, she was the only one to help us and should be acknowledge for her support! So from August it has only been fixed now in November!!!!! Thank you Gary for all your assistance, we can actually open the window now and have keys! We will never use Stegbar again for the price we paid which was far too expensive to the very poor service.
Just awful. Extremely disappointing experience. Poor coordination from start to finish. Even our neighbours put in a strata complaint against them because they failed to clean up after themselves and be mindful of common property. Low quality despite charging premium prices that took more than three months. Save yourself the frustration and extra expense - hire a qualified carpenter or anyone else instead.

multiple emails went unanswered and it wasn't until I threatened to take it to Fair Trading I got a response. Now its 3 weeks since the damaged doors were collected and 3 emails and 2 calls later and I'm still waiting for them to respond to me.
