After submitting an online request for a call back to arrange an appoitment,I had to make two follow up calls before recieving a call back only to find out i couldnt fit into the sales reps schedule and was told i was too far away to come out 4pm. Approx 30kms. I guess his time was more valuable then my money. All the excuses under the sun..... Dont waste yoir time with this unprofessional organiasation

Worst experience ever!!!! – I recently had Stegbar in to fit new wardrobe doors in my nursery. I can honestly say this is the worst installation job I’ve ever seen bar none. Not only was a mess left (couldn’t even bother cleaning glass), the bottom rails weren’t even glued and lifts straight up, other bits weren’t glued or fitted properly. Slow process to order, measure and install - go elsewhere! – All I ordered was a semi frameless shower screen and the process took over 2.5 months from order to installation. The process and communication was so poor. The guy who came out to measure was rude and condescending and left the company within days of coming out to measure up. paying in full had also left the company- which I didn’t know about. So we were totally left in the dark for weeks! When I got onto someone the story was made known. They then had to come out and measure again. This takes at least a week to get someone on site. Then things were finally under way and it took two weeks to make the screen and then another week for someone to then come out and install it !

quote. The preliminary quote had only been for the interior of the sliding door wardrobe and for a basic interior finish only (not what we had asked for). Anyway, we went with the quote, and Stegbar wanted 100% payment upfront so we made the payment and accepted the quote. We were then quickly advised of an install date, and someone came to install the wardrobe, they installed only a small part of the interior of the wardrobe, then left saying that the wardrobe had not been made to the correct size because it hadn't been measured correctly (Stegbar had measured it themselves). Next, Ventora (apparently Stegbar) contacted us with a new install date but didn't turn up. We had to again make several calls to find out what had happened and eventually got another install date.
The person who came to fit it in the end was new to the company, but he did an excellent job so the wardrobe has actually turned out fine in the end despite the terrible level of communication/service from the company.
Next time though, we will likely go with another company or do it ourselves. They seem too busy and disinterested in small jobs.

New shower screen installed by Stegbar – A great experience with the install of our new shower screen from Stegbar. Reece the installer contacted us the day before via txt to confirm the install time, he was on time and completed the job within an hour. The new shower screen looks great.

turns out, was still wrong in a different section that nobody noticed. Multiple delays to delivery date resulting in delays to finish time of renovation. When the 3-section, frosted Bathroom window finally arrived on 4th July, 2 sections were frosted and one was CLEAR. I have had to call repeatedly to find out delivery dates. I was initially told 30th Aug for frosted replacement to be delivered. I was then emailed 2 weeks later to say it's going to be 23rd Aug, when I wrote back today to ask what time and if I should leave the incorrect clear glass for them to take back, they thought I made a TYPO because they had ordered the replacements in CLEAR GLASS ALSO. Another delay. Screen company took all of 3 mins to measure up 2 screen doors. I commented how quick it was, the person advised he's been doing it a long time. Scorpion Screen person arrives to fit the doors.....they don't fit. He has a conversation with the builder onsite about the door stops and they make a plan for temporary stops to be fitted until the correct size screen doors are delivered and fitted then builder will custom build the new stops to fit exactly. A different Scorpion Screen person arrives to fit the replacement screen doors whilst builder is not here, then leaves WITHOUT FITTING THEM because the door stops were temporary. They have not called me to talk about this and make a new date. I have to follow up with them yet again. It's breaking my brain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Thankfully I ordered my custom kitchen window and screens through Superior Glass because Stegbar staff said they can't do a sliding and locking security screen to go with a 3 pane stacker window. Although Superior Glass were a little bit more expensive on the price for the other items that I purchased through Stegbar, they delivered the kitchen window on time, exactly as requested with no drama whatsoever and I have to say now, it was worth it. I wish I had gone with them for the other 8 doors, windows and screens that I purchased through Stegbar. I've spent a lot of money and the experience has been incredibly disappointing.

that old adage, "you get what you pay for", has never rung truer for us and confirms the other equally old adage, "cheap is not always the best"! To top it all off, after the windows were installed by our builder, we found some scratches on 2 panels of glass. We contacted Stebar expecting that typical finger pointing game of, "well we didn't do the install", which never happened. Shortly after sending the initial email they were out replacing the panels. Exceptional service that just has to be recognised and acknowledged at a time when good service is in short supply. Well done to the Stebar team.
Poor customer service – You ring the 1800 number and get told incorrect information, you go into their store at Bowens Hills for them not to help you, you send an email as requested to another branch and they don’t respond, so you try calling and when they finally answer tell you they no longer make spare parts for your shower and have no alternative. Do yourself a favour take your business to another company.
Stegbar Bi-Folds open up the room – I was not only happy with the final product but also the entire process of dealing with Stegbar. It was exemplary. They were very quick, efficient and the install was very professional.

Shower screen installation – UPDATE: As you can see from the original review below, I was quite concerned about the open unsealed edge of the lower frame of the shower-screen with respect to water getting under the frame resulting in possible mould forming. has been allowing water into the floor/ceiling cavity above the kitchen below (see images). The small up-stand under the frame had obviously not been sealed adequately, when the screen was installed, and for the past 2 years has been allowing water to seep through into the ceiling cavity below. We found this problem when we noticed a lot of water on the kitchen floor a few weeks ago. It only appeared after using the shower and only after a hole had eventually formed in the plasterboard. I have had to seal the open inner edge of the frame to stop this and to allow us to continue using the shower. I now have to organise and pay for a plasterer to fix this problem. A plasterer has looked at the damage and said he won’t know how much of the ceiling to remove until he can see how far the mould has spread. So I did what I thought was the right thing and completed an on-line claim via the Stegbar website on 5th February. The claim was accepted and the page informed me that a representative would contact me within 2 working days and that a reference number would be emailed to me. It has now been 4 weeks and not a word from Stegbar. Also no reference number has been received. I will now post a claim to Stegbar and see what happens. I will update this review accordingly. Wish me luck.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 19 April 2021: We had new shower screens installed in our main bathroom and also the en-suite. [Name Removed] (salesman) was very good in providing suggestions and a competitive quote which we accepted. However, there were some unusual things about the quote and accompanying Terms and Conditions. Unlike other quotes, Stegbar’s quote also included [Name Removed] on-site dimensional sketches along with a statement that it was our responsibility that the details were correct. The Terms and Conditions (Clause 2.5) also made it clear that “The customer must check all details of the Goods in the Quotation in relation to quantities, descriptions, sizes, dimensions etc. Jeld-Wen will not be liable for any incorrect details, dimensions etc”. We therefore checked the dimensions and got back to [Name Removed] with a couple of comments. He was clear is saying that we did not have to do this and the dimensions were his responsibility, which is what we would have expected. So why does the quotation and the Ts & Cs say otherwise? The only other comment here is that all other quotes we received indicated a deposit of 50%, however, Stegbar require a 100% deposit for quotes under $2000. Not very re-assuring if an issue is found after installation. We then proceeded to the installation. The installer was very prompt, calling us before arrival. He also picked up that a broken tile in the en-suite needed to be replaced/repaired before he could install that shower screen. He was then able to return, at no cost to us, to complete the en-suite install about a week later. That worked out fine for us and gave us time to repair and clean the area around the new screen. He certainly installed the screens as well as possible considering some of the non-square angles of the old walls. However, unlike all other tradies doing our bathroom reno’s, he obviously did not take off his boots when entering the shower area as we found deep scratch marks on the newly thermoglazed shower trays which cost $550 each to glaze. I now have to repair them as well as possible to ensure no future issues. We are also a bit concerned about the obvious gap left under the screen frame below the main bathroom door. I can only imagine that with water entering there could eventually be mould buildup over time. I was assured this will not happen but one to watch. Also the gap between the underside of the door and the screen frame in the en-suite varies between 10 and 15 mm which means that after fitting the standard door drip seal across the bottom of the door there is still a gap that was large enough to allow the shower water to spray out onto the floor. I had to go to Bunnings to buy a new deeper shower door seal ($10) which now works perfectly. It appears that installers don’t carry any extra fittings to fix things like this at the time. The other main issue with the installation was that we had to clean-up the mess that the installer left behind. A simple vacuum with a portable vacuum cleaner and a wipe-down would have been all that was required. We also had to clean the glue residue left from the stickers that were on the glass. Overall we are generally happy with the results but I think the issue of dealing with a big company rather than an individual provider shows up here. Get the job done and then move on to the next – but on our terms only. Would I recommend Stegbar to others – Yes, we are happy with their product, but just be aware of what to look out for.
