Our experience with Stegbar has been nothing short of a disaster. The entire order (a house lot of Stegbar timber windows) should have never passed quality control and should have never left the factory. that do not match - failed silicone and sealing work - leaking windows !

These are fundamental defects that should have been identified prior to delivery.

We raised these issues with Stegbar multiple times and initially received a response, but once the scale of the problems became clear, Stegbar stopped responding entirely. No resolution, no accountability. We have provided evidence of all of the issues outlined and Stegbar continues to ignore the issue.

Our dealings have been through the Rowville branch, including: [Name Removed], [Name Removed], [Name Removed], [Name Removed], [Name Removed] and [Name Removed].

Since raising these issues, I have also learned that our experience is not an isolated incident, which is extremely concerning. Stegbar's quality of their product, workmanship and after-sales service has been completely unacceptable.

Stegbar's products and handling of the situation, do not meet the basic expectations of Australian consumer law, where products must be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose.

I strongly recommend anyone considering windows look elsewhere and avoid Stegbar.

The lack of response I have had from the Sales Manager [Name Removed] is amazing. I have had issues with my shower screens and thank my lucky stars that I went elsewhere for my windows when we renovated our whole home recently. Whilst they’re fine to deal with initially for product installation they are Absolutely putrid to deal with in regards to after sale service. Deny, stall, obfuscate, zero care factor. Stunning how bad they are at after sale “service”. Show details

Door one, - timber delaminating, buckling and coming away from the frame itself. Door two, - metal cladding on the outside is delaminating and has fallen to the sill leaving the inside at the top exposed. eventually a representative arrived and the replacement doors were ordered, but it took several weeks for them to arrive, and when they did the replacement doors were badly damaged and could not be installed, so another set of replacement doors were ordered and when they finally arrived walls were already installed, and some of the walls were damaged on installation. All this was bad enough then a year or so ago a door started delaminating (metal coming away) and just recently we noticed another replaced door was delaminating, so I rang them (far more difficult than what it should be) and requested someone to come and have a look, in order to get the doors replaced. After several emails and phone calls Stegbar have made the decision, not to replace the doors due to Stegbar stating they are out of their 7 year Warranty. Stegbar have stated that their Warranty is 7 years from when their product leaves the factory, (not when installed and the dwelling receiving approval for possession). Lets put that into perspective, We took possession of our new home in 2019 so just after 4.5 years of living in a brand new home, Stegbar have stated that, this is the expected life of their products, let that one sink in for a minute. Life Expectancy less than 5 years, how many new buildings in Australia have had to replace their doors after less than 5 years of occupancy, may I suggest almost none, unless faulty, and a reputable company with a gram of decency would replace them, and at this stage Stegbar is behaving far from decent. So please be warned If you decide to purchase anything from Stegbar ask them about their Warranty compared to the products life expectancy. Lets face it if you spent a considerable amount on doors and windows and the manufacturer stated that after only 5 years of occupancy you are likely to have to replace them, would you even consider for a split second of purchasing from them.

We have just had built in wardrobes installed and we could not be happier with the end result. Sales and designer Cindy Curliss provided expert advise and made the whole process very easy. The salesroom has all types of example wardrobes that really help with picturing the end result. We have had shower screens installed by Stegbar in the past and they have stood the test of time. Having worked in a service industry for 51 years and experienced many situations i can say we are very grateful for the job they did.
