Stoney Creek Camper SC-FF Limited Edition Questions & Answers
VerifiedOur front water tank is empty. Does anyone know if there is a switch, to go to the rear tank. We have looked everywhere
Good morning Maria, Depending on the year of the camper, there should be a manual valve under to your right as soon as you walk up the stairs. Remove the cushion, open the cupboard, and it should be inside.
If it's not, it may be an older model, in which case, just give us a call on (07) 3282 0411
Only bought last year. I will check it when I get home. Thank you
We purchased a SC LE FF Gen 2 camper beginning 2021. The actuator lasted only a short time. Rang SC Perth, who said they'd get back to me. Didn't, so after several follow ups (no joy) I purchased one online (could not source a 8000N at the time, which had been suggested on the SC group site to buy instead of replacing with same) so replaced with the 6000N actuator. Have been manually opening / closing in the interim. Fitted new one last week, only to have this fail also!! Can only think the 6000N is too small unit. Wanting to sell, so would like SC to correct so we can offer prospective purchasers an electric open/shut unit that we paid for! Any alternative suggestion appreciated.. Cheers Trace
what is the size of the fridge compartment or what size fridge fits in
How do I get power to the power outlets inside camper sc-ff
We have a SC - FF limited addition which has a actuator to open and close camper if that is not working how do you close it down? Dianne
Hi Dianne, At handover we were told if the actuator isn’t working you can pull out the split pin at the bottom pivot mounting to release it and then open and close it manually. Not quite accurate. You also need to go inside and unbolt the top mount. And if the actuator is fully extended, it can be tricky to get it out. Mine bent and Stoney Creek admitted to me they have a problem with the actuators bending due to overextension and they couldn’t get replacements. They basically couldn’t help so I sourced one of my own, but eventually that also bent. Just poor design in the way it’s mounted at the top. I gave up and now open and close it manually. It’s quicker and I’m also not worried about bending another.
How do you pull it down manually the guy from Stoney Creek in Perth said use the winch not sure how to do that when it is at the front of the camper? We were thinking about putting another winch at the back. It is very heavy just doing it by hand? Any suggestions? Dianne
Yeah that the ting. There's no winch at the back of the camper if you had the actuator. I believe you could probably purchase that separately, but it will be the whole bracket with the winch you'll need.
We had the same problem and received a replacement at some horrific price only to have it fail on the first attempt to open and close it. Thankfully Stoney Creek refunded our money. I took the original actuator to an engineering shop and they managed to straighten it. it now works fine. But yes there is the constant worry that it will fail again or we will have flat battery's and we now know the hassle involved to disconnect the actuator and use it manual. I am seriously considering removing it altogether and putting on winches to use it manual. Pity as it was a major feature that swung us to purchase the LE FF. Apart from that we have been happy with its performance and believe it to still be one of the better campers on the market today.
Hi. How do I switch water tanks on the sc ff6 gen2? Our main tank is dry but the front tank is full yet we can’t get water into taps, shower. Any tips appreciated. Thank you
Is there a switch for the water tanks to turn on the shower?
Is there the option to have a boat loader fitted to this camper?
Is there a secret to get the gas from the bottles to the pullout cooker. Bottles connected and turned on hose at the back connected. Gas in bottle , when checking connection at back no gas sound when disconnected. Stoney Creek ScFf
Worked out . Thanks

How do we reseal to protect from dust?
Can anyone tell me if there is any videos on erection the annexe on the SC-FF limited edition.
Yeah, this would be really helpful
Any suggestions as to how to erect the pop up shower? No extra frame poles came with ours or pictures or instructions, so we’re just wondering !
The popup shower doesn't need any poles. It just springs open and then there's a few stiffeners you put into it. You can position it wherever you like. They gave us two single ones, but I already had a double ensuite so we use that and a separate one for the toilet. It can be a bit of a trick to pull them down so check oout on YouTube how to do that before you use them. With ours, we also got a ensuite room that zips into the side annex wall (front one) That has poles, but it's a bit crappy as it leaks like a sieve. So you can't use it if there's any rain.
Is there any videos showing how to erect the annexe and shower.
Hi Myra, I haven't seen any video specifically for the Stoney Creek Annex, but i've found easier ways to put it up just by trial and error. What I do is to always have the annex roof already zipped on and folded over the roof of the camper so it gets folded up when it's packed away. Then it's always there ready to go. As i'm putting up the camper I attach the long roof poles, that hook on to the camper frame and then I put up the annex frame itself at a manageable level to reach everything and have a few guy roles pegged down to hold it steady. I then pull the annex roof canvas across the frame using a couple of ropes attached to each corner and just hook it to to posts, do up all the velcro tabs and lift the poles to the right height. A good tip is to always use the roof spacer poles. If it rains, they stop any pooling of water on the roof which can permanently stretch your canvas. The shower room zips onto the front side wall of the annex where there's a door. It has external poles and needs guy ropes to keep them in place. I've used it once, but the roof collects the rain and the fabric leaks like a sieve, so don't expect to stay dry in the rain. I sprayed it with some silicone waterproofing treatment, but haven't used it since. I generally use the pop up shower tents they supplied with the camper. Then you can put them up the back near where the HWS hangs up. Hope that helps. Happy camping.
How can you seal the window awning to the horizontal pole so it doesn’t flap?
Hi Chris and Will, I extend the horizontal pole on the window awning so the canvass is really tight. It doesn't seem to flap too much, but I have had to tie down the awnings in high wind. I just do that by hooking a bungy over the top of the vertical pole and then stretching it down to the nearest anchor point.
How's your water pumps? I recently replaced both because they were so noisy. I'll get around to doing a post on that soon.
Cheers Simon
