Stratco at Thornton 3 times to follow up on the quotation and all I ever hear is "I will chase it up and get back to you" I have even sent them a copy of the auto response email and still I hear nothing, not even the courtesy of a phone call or email to say they are working on it. All I hear is crickets. For god sake, it's a standard bloody pergola kit. Sorry Stratco but I certainly won't be wasting "my" valuable time to call you again.

Not watertight, lot of work to put up, not good value for money – We bought the Stubbie shed and were not very impressed. First of all, it is a kit but not so much as most of the holes are not predrilled and it would probably take the same time but far less money to build something similar from scratch. impossible to read. My major complaint is the quality of the construction. The side walls hang on C-shaped beams and after putting them up, I could see how they were sagging outwards. We build the shed on a concrete slab and the way it is constructed - it's not really watertight, especially around the door. We haven't put the window in yet but once again it's construction is not watertight. If I had known how much work it is to put it up, we would have constructed a shed ourselves for far less money and with better thought-through details. This is not a real kit and a real pain to put up. If you are able to put this shed up, you are probably also able to build one from scratch. I did not find it was a good value for money.

Staff were very helpful to get my fencing project moving – Matt from the Thornton store was very helpful in getting a design and quote put together, making adjustments where needed, and getting the bits and pieces ordered. The shed – I purchased a Stratco handi heritage shed over the phone without even going into the store due to Covid. The service provided on the phone from Deb was exceptional. Terrible service and false promotion of free BBQ with order – I ordered just under 5k worth of orders in a patio kit and gate. Arranged for a delivery date on 4/12/20. But I kept getting automated sms stating the incorrect dates will delivered on each occasion I followed up with the store to ensure this pre arranged date is followed. and it was promised the order would be delivered by there small truck. Once the 4/12/20 came by I got a call from there driver stating he would be delivering within the hour to my place by a semi trailer truck this was no good as it was a big delivery and was a 100 mtr walk to the end of the driveway. I called the manager who luckily arranged delivery by a smaller truck instead later that afternoon. When I received the delivery I was short the 4 off clear roof sheets. I had this patio arranged for installation on the next day but I now had to my trades extra hours and on a different dates.

Also I got promised a free beef eater BBQ with my orders. I am still yet to receive any answer if I'm getting one. This is a false promotion that stratco have advertised and is illegal.

Purchased an Outback patio kit, looks nice & neat – Overall I was happy with the Outback patio kit. Matthew was very helpful and knowledgeable on the product. I was not happy with the finish on the posts, 2 of them I could not remove the protective plastic properly as it was baked onto the paint. out was the back facia channels were not cut to length. My mistake not measuring them but it would be nice to buy a kit that was cut to size. I was also short changed on the neo washers for the rooflite screws and had to purchase more locally as I live aprox 3/4 hour from Thornton. A better colour range would be good, I would have preferred Colourbond Headland for the roof to match my other Stratco patio on the rear of my house. Other than a few minor issues I am happy with the Outback patio.

Incompetent and condescending staff – They messed up a nearly $2K fence order, and when I went back to the store to complain and to have it resolved. halted my fence job and caused me to have to drive 50 minutes to Thornton to get it sorted out, but rather the staff member pointed out that I had read and signed the quote. Of course, the quote was five pages long with items on it that I didn’t receive, and your staff member wasn’t readily able to explain the full contents of the quote, so I thought it quite inappropriate and unreasonable for him to expect me to understand the detail of the quote, as I don’t work at Stratco. I had a look over the quote before signing it, but since the price was my prime concern, I trusted the Stratco staff to do their job properly and I signed it. The first staff member who messed up the order and the second staff member who dealt with me today (10/10/20) have both presented themselves as good reasons to shop at bunnings. Further to this complaint just FYI. On 6/10/20 I gave dimensions for a quote on an 1800mm tall ezi-slat gate to the first staff member (in person) and he said he would send it to me the next day. I have not received anything to date (10/10/20). Should I conclude Stratco at Thornton does not want my business? They did give me that impression today. Regards Michael

Hopeless unapologetic service – I went to Stratco to buy 2 PVC elbows. I took along a sample pipe to make sure of the size. There was nothing in stock that matched so I proceeded to the counter to ask for help. The large young dark haired lady behind the counter took the sample and measured it. Not sure why they cannot give me a quote – I have been trying to get a quote for over a week now and every time I call, I keep getting told they are getting straight onto it, followed by nothing.

very poor customer service – took almost 3 months to replace parts that were damaged by Stratco's delivery truck, the assistant manager was polite, but the delays in my opinion were unacceptable.I cant recommend Stratco to anyone. Show details
