After all this mess, they offered me a free install, but the installer was patronizing and full of attitude. Customer service was lacking throughout the ordeal – it felt like no one really cared about resolving the problems.

For the price I paid, I expected a premium product and professional service - I received neither. The whole experience was pathetic and disappointing. I would never trust Stratco to build anything again.

Worst gate and panel supplier I have dealt with – This stratco branch is actually the worst gate and panel supplier I have dealt with for my 10 years in building industry. correct gate and panel. Our first order was the post and base plate, it was ordered and the lead time is 6 weeks plus. We waited 6 weeks as promised and received just the post , but was told by Toni the base plate was not ordered. Then we have to wait another 7 weeks this time. When we have to chased up for the based plate, Toni informed us they are ready, and upon collection, she told us she made a mistake and the base plates was ordered and delivered to them, but they misplaced the base plate in the warehouse. But only information is the situation after 7 weeks wait. Then when we have installed the based plate and post, we provide the actual measurements for a customer gate to be manufactured, it took us another 8 weeks. Guess what , after 8 weeks of wait, we found out Toni only put in an order of a standard gate and panel, but also forgot to send us the hinges and locks that was paid for. When What make this more ridiculous is that , we spoke to the manager Andrew (who he knows what is is talking about ) acknowledge there is fault on their end, they refused to remediate the order. So now I am stuck with 4 extra base plate, 2 wrong gates , no locks or hinges . And they refuse to do anything to help . Seriously if I have to advise anyone , stay away from this Epping stratco. It gives Stratco a bad rep but really it's such a simple order. STAY AWAY!!!

Woeful service – Deer Park Sales receipted my order guaranteed ready for pickup from main warehouse at Epping after 2.00pm Fri 8/12 if any change I would be contacted. Come to pickup Mon 12/12 only half order is ready. No advice otherwise as promised, 70km round trip for nothing!! Happy to take your order and money, cannot deliver. Show details

Incompetence – (Reposted from google for inclusion). From first contact on 08/09/21 Stratco Doveton has been nothing but incompetent. Dreadful customer service. Should have realised there was going to be a problem when initially received incorrect posts for verandah on 16/09/21. On 03/11/21 attended Doveton to purchase 5 blinds and 3 custom screens. $9,904.05… Read more

worth of product. Expecting installation of blinds prior to Christmas. From initially not submitting the paperwork for the installer to measure up, through receiving a phone call on 3/12/21 to inform me they actually don't make the blinds I want (and paid 50% deposit for), I foolishly requested they continue with the custom screens.

On 03/02/22 I attended Stratco Doveton and picked up screens only to get them home and find they didn't use the installers measurements, they used my width and a guestimate on the height. 08/02/22 contacted Stratco to have them remade and these picked up. They requested I measure the areas for the screens. Informed him the installer still had the measurements as I had spoken with him and to get them from him.

On 08/03/22 rang customer service to ascertain firstly if an order had been placed and if so when it would be delivered. No order found. The customer service person looked at the file then told me he didn't want to get involved. Understandably considering the mess they have made. Nick was supposed to call me on 08/03/22 with an update but didn't. I can only imagine that nothing has been done.

I have now purchased and had installed 5 blinds that could have been supplied and installed by Stratco had I been given the correct information on 03/11/21.

UPDATE. 10/03/22. Waited in for phone call. No call received. Attended Stratco Doveton and spoke to Nick. No order placed for replacement screens so I've been waiting a month for nothing. Refund received.

Subsequently received a call from the Stratco retail manager on 10/03/22 who offered to resubmit order. Offer rejected.

Communication and relationship with installer – 1. They don't understand customer's needs. 2. The ads said they design, make, install but its not true. 3. They said they are just a supplier and pass my info to "Install a Veranda" company. Show details

Service so bad it will waste your time and cost you money – Order placed 3 Jan 2023. Receipt has delivery date of 11 Jan 2023. Receive phone call 11 Jan sheeting is ready for pick up but flashing will not be available till 13 Jan 2023. Pick up sheeting. them 18 Jan, flashing has not arrived, they promised to call me back with update later that day. They did not ring me back. Rang them 20 Jan in the morning, goods are on an independent truck, they will call me when the flashing arrives. Rang them 2pm 20 Jan, cannot find delivery information or goods, they will call back, which they did not. Rang them 4:15pm 20 Jan, they can only find 1 of the 3 pieces of flashing at the store. How does a business survive in todays world when the service provided is so bad!

Above and beyond – I purchased a product online for delivery but it was not available for delivery outside of metropolitan Melbourne. I received a call from the local mildura store the next day, they had it in stock and delivered it that day. Show details ·  1

Veranda Delivery – Darren delivered our new veranda and he was very professional He set up without any issues and unloaded very carefully and made sure we could still get into our driveway He was especially aware of local traffic and stopped everything each time a car passed by regardless that the veranda was being offloaded on the opposite side of the truck Thank you Darren Show reply

Helpful, quick customer service with my box gutter order – This morning I rang Stratco (Ferntree Gully) to ask if they sell Colorbond box gutter (2x90 degree bends, 150mm sides all 3 sides). Dohc Taylor took the call. He said that size was not standard but he can quickly do a drawing & quote & email to me. He did that within about 30mins of the call. So I picked up phone & confirmed the order with Stratco. What a prompt professional painless service - need more people like Dohc. Show reply
