For an extended period exceeding five minutes, we remained unattended. During this time, the two visible staff members, engrossed with other patrons at the design desk, conspicuously avoided eye contact. When their gazes did intersect with mine, they offered nothing but blatant disregard. There was no acknowledgment, no courtesy of a 'Hello, someone will be with you shortly,' no apology for the delay, nor any attempt to briefly excuse themselves to process our transactions, which would have taken mere moments. One cannot help but ponder if my departure with the merchandise would have finally elicited a response. This blatant oversight extended to the customer behind me, who also sought a swift transaction.

Eventually, a young woman emerged from what appeared to be a staff area. After leisurely attending to her personal items, she meandered to another desk before her eyes met mine, a silent acknowledgment of my growing dissatisfaction. She then approached to serve, and despite my lighthearted remark about contemplating an unannounced departure, her response was not one of apology or empathy. Instead, she offered a defensive explanation regarding her absence and her colleagues' engagement with other customers. A simple 'sorry for the hold-up' or even a polite smile was conspicuously absent. Her demeanor, unfortunately, mirrored that of her colleagues, collectively devaluing my presence as a customer.

Given this thoroughly disheartening encounter, I can unequivocally state that I will not be returning to this store. The evident disregard for customer experience is truly remarkable

Great fencing product and service – I ordered 5 custom sized panels of Stratco Heritage Fencing to fill the spaces between brick pillars on my front wall. I triple measured the length & height of the panels needed, dropped into the Malaga store and placed the order. stubby shed dyi build – this is one solid, we designed shed, easy enough to assemble, but the DYI could be improved - there are differences between the youtube instruction model & the W.A model, this is time consuming to constantly check between instructions while building. Decent roller door location instructions would also be good. A clear, step by step paper… Read more

instruction with notes pointing which way up at times would make life a lot easier. Also coloured rivets not supplied, so the silver ones do stand out. Apart from minor instruction confussion this is a fantastic product.

Went into Stratco Malaga twice last week for some small items. The first visit I needed was only $3.85, the guy charged me $15 and I was lucky enough to notice it on the eftpos screen and question it. The second time I needed 2 small pieces of flashing. another colour and a much shorter piece in the colour I wanted on a random shelf. I paid for the 2 and when I got home I noticed on the receipt I had been charge for 2 long pieces instead of one long and one short.

That means BOTH visits I was overcharged - or would have been - about $12 average. By the same staff member. Which works out to be about $24 overcharged over a $40 purchase.

Not good enough.

application as they were generic drawings and not specific to my build . i cotacted stratco canning vale as this is who you get through to when you call Malaga. I was told the only person that could access the drawings was the sales person who took the depeposit and they would get them to call me , bearing in min coucil only let an application go for a limited time frame before cancelling it and all fees have to be paid again . i wated all day , unfortunately no call so i called back and was told by anouther service person that the sales person was on leave for 2 weeks and the previous service person would have known this. he promised to get the store manager to call me and sort it out . 2 days later no reply i called again explained the stuation and was given the managers number i called and called , he does not have a message bank apparently it is full and doesn't pick up the phone . This is the most frustrating non helpfull company i have ever come across, i am sure they have modelled there customer service of a government department or Telstra

I agreed to proceed and placed the order and paid over $3,500 up front as requested.

After three weeks and four days on hearing nothing I called the store, spoke to [Name Removed] and he said "hang on lets look"

Then he said " Oh my computer is playing up can I call you back" Hours later I got a call saying the order was delayed due to unknown engineering issues and it would be another 3 weeks

I immediately knew they had a problem, my guess was they had not ordered the unit from the factory. The stories started from then on, we've had unknown engineering, issues, floods, train crashes you name it they told it.

Then I was told they didn’t know where the order was, when I would get it, it just went on and on.

Well after two months of every story known to man, e.g Ive been told the gear is coming from Old, Vic, and SA all within the space of four weeks, its coming by road, by train, its all lies.

These guys are beyond hopeless, no one knows what’s happening or gives a damn.

In the end after being told that only half the order had arrived on week 10, I cancelled the order and demanded a refund, which I got.

But the rub was, they had earlier given me $400.00 compensation for the eight weeks of delay to my project, but when the refunded me, they knocked off the $400.00. They took back my compensation, How pathetic is that? You couldn’t make it up.

That is the type of company you will deal with. If its not in stock, if you cant see it dont buy it, they are without doubt uncaring, disingenuous and frankly useless.

Unfortunate – Ordered a shed in store and received great customer service, was told it should be ready to collect the following week and I would receive a call when it arrives. 2 weeks later I called up to find out if it was there only to hear that the order went on some sort of system hold and hadn’t been released yet. All in all it took 3 weeks to get a shed that was available in the warehouse 30kms away. Should have just collected it myself. Show details

Hit and Miss Service - Great Patio – Great patio, but dealing with Stratco (in particular Malaga) was dreadful. If you can ever get through to the store, as their phones are never answered. Delivery was promised on one day, some parts arrived before. Then when the installer (Who Stratco sent the job to) arrived they found a large amount missing. Stratco had no idea where things were… Read more

at, and slowly over days the rest of what was missing arrived. The store failed to change the mounting brackets to the ones requested by the installer (this was weeks before!). Once the job was finally done there is a number of items left over. Stratco advice was the patio was not compliant without them. Load of rubbish, the extra items were included for a wall mounted patio, not from the roof as ours is. The plans never indicated these parts would be needed. So they refuse to accept them back, and wont even reply now. Refused a refund on parts they ordered (not us or the installer) and wont even collect them. No way would we ever recommend Stratco, awful to deal with.

Update: Finally had a response from Stratco management, they acknowledged that the items were not requested by me, and it was reasonable for them to the been collected. These have now been collected and a refund provided.

they are snowflake type fools – An incompetent fool took my order didn't ask what length I can carry on my full roof racks took the order. i went to canning vale(1 hour 20 min round trip) to pick up my order only to be told you are not taking it its too long. & the product we asked for “wasn’t even in stock” and walked away. he provided no options of checking other store stock so we then called the Cannington store and were told it was in stock there. We left bewildered and shaking our heads in confusion of what just happened. We were there to buy and we couldn’t spend money if we wanted to because your staff couldn’t give a care in the world. We ended up just going to Bunnings where we received exceptional customer service. Read through the other Malaga reviews and it’s a common theme, management need to wake up because we are wondering how your stores are still open. No we don’t want to be contacted, talk to your staff as they lost you a thousand dollar sale. Disgraceful

were transfered to head office and even they weren't able to get hold of the store. We finally received our two missing parts, they arrived on two separate deliveries but in the mean time we realized they had supplied us with an incorrect part and we had to return it and then wait yet again for another delivery. Even though we had a lot of issues we were always dealt with politely and the issues were resolved without question. The instructions were also very hard to follow, certainly not something anybody without any form of building experience would want to try. We were finally able to finish our patio four weeks after the initial delivery.

After starting the process of purchasing a garage in April 2020 it was finally finished mid January 2021, admitting not all due Stratco fault. Building permit was issued August 26, then finally on November 5 I received notification the garage would be… Read more

delivered on November 17, roller door on November 18 , garage installation on November 18 and concrete on November 24, In the end full delivery never happened on the 17 and installation could not start. I was told the installer would contact me to come around for a side inspection which never happened because he did not get a PO. He came on November 21 and said he could start install the next day if all items for the built had been delivered, the last bits only arrived late November 21. Well better late then never so I was looking forward to have the garage built and I started making arrangement to have kitchen and double glazed windows delivered which could be stored in the garage and also have items from storage retrieved to store in the garage again (I had to rent storage space while waiting for my new garage to be built), over the next week I had 3 deliveries (still no roller door)the build started November 21 but concrete did not happen until November 27 in the end. Communication has been poor and I have had to ask for updates and why things have not happened when they where promised to happen. The roller door was delayed for delivery again on December 4 and after asking for an update I was told it would only be December 16 which is 4 weeks after the date it was supposed to be delivered and install was December 24. Needless to say I have had to postpone deliveries several times and inconvenience other installers by shifting their dates forward. This means my kitchen was not finished before Xmas and I had to keep paying for storage.

When I asked for a quote I specified an electric roller door, when the door was finally installed there was no electric motor and I was asked to arrange a motor myself and get refunded.

Also I was charged $1315 more than quoted and delivery cost which was promised would be included. I never received an itemised bill from the store even after requesting one several times, but was able the get one from ShedsWa. The store manager promised to refund me the difference quoted, delivery, the price for the electric motor and said he would look at things to make things right as I told him I was not happy. I was asked to come to the store, an hours round trip to indeed get back the money I was over charged and what I paid for the motor but instead of trying to make things right I got a COVID-19 excuse. I can understand COVID is involved but it is no cause for poor service and no communication.

An other incentive to go with Stratco was that when I asked for the quote you would get a beefeater barbecue but when finalising the purchase was told this was no longer valid. This seems to me to be not very fair advertising because as we have seen it can take months for the process to be completed. I know everybody is trying their best but unfortunately I am not a happy customer and expected a lot better service from a company like Stratco very disappointing experience that has really inconvenienced me.

I forgot to mention that the gutters are not the same length either, the store manager said they have to be cut at site, but you can’t cut something to make it longer so an other empty excuse. In the end I have given up and do not recommend Stratco.

spoke to another worker and explained the story and she said she would get [Name Removed] to call me back... I originally contacted Stratco on Jan 29th 2021 and it is now 25th Feb and I Haven't heard a thing!!!

[Name Removed] is obviously on Stratco's Board Of Directors and has seen the Profit Sheets and has decided that Stratco doesn't need my money!!!

Sales service is great but after sales is shocking – Purchased stubbie shed and the staff at Malaga were great but ... failed to deliver when emailed and phoned it would be. Bits missing when it finally came. No instructions ... no you tube video relevant to stubbie shed. Currently on our way again to the store to try and see what to do. Friendly service, great product – I purchased a large metal storage cabinet. The cabinet was easy to assemble, is a good large size and looks great. Staff were friendly & went out of their way to fit the item into my car, it took them a while, but they didn't give up.
