Streets Viennetta Vanilla

Not a trip down memory lane. Cost cutting gone nuts. No creaminess and tasted more like water. I should have read the contents first... reconstituted milk fats, emulsifiers etc. Discusting and no longer will remember with fondness as it was in the 70s and 80s. Shame on manufacturing Show details

Very disappointed. Packet inside the sealed box was ripped and caused the ice cream to go icy. No way to contact with complaints as you need to call South Africa. Definitely won't be buying this again. Show details

Not like it used to be – Used to be good but it seems they have changed the recipe because the chocolate layers no longer cover all the way through to the sides, only the middle third has the chocolate. Also, the ice cream is different in that it is not creamy like it used to be but watery. So disappointed. Show details

Icey watered down cream – Icey texture, no longer creamy soft ice cream with 3 ingredients. You get a watery icy chemical frozen treat. Do not flush money down the loo, it's not worth trying it out. Not the same as it was 5 years ago, Show details

This is not Viennetta – I used to love this during my childhood. I now bought this Streets Viennetta last week, it tastes watered down, made to look like ice cream, and the chocolate is bad too. It's as though it is 10 cents to make and they charge $8 to buy. Time to discontinue this terrible look-a-like. Show details

Like fake ice cream. It looks like Ice Cream, kind of – What a huge disappointment. I was telling my wife about it, as she's never heard of it (from overseas), and I'm so glad she didn't want to try it at all. That's $8 wasted. Show details

probably cost cutting and price gouging it is now very poor. My experience echoes most reviews. Noticeably the taste. It has no creamy ice cream taste like it used to. It was very watery and lacking in flavour is the best you can describe it. Maccas soft serve is 20 times better. Can't believe its still being sold, it's so far below standard. Unless they go back to how it used to be, it's not worth purchasing, even for sentimental reasons. I won't be buying it again in a hurry. Very disappointing, and actually quite sad!

Shattered dreams – I can't add much more than has already been said. They have taken an icon, a family tradition, and ruined it. It is so bad that I now can't remember ever liking it. They have somehow managed to infect my memories of how good it was. so bad I was sure it was out of date – After tasting the product I was certain it was passed its used by date. It was so icy and had no flavour to it... aside from the pieces of chocolate.

Buy something else – Not worth it buy something else, states 6 servings but barely enough for 3. Looked like half of it was missing didn't even fill up the whole tray it came on used to be a lot better.

Vienetta...made in Portugal – I was disgusted with the taste. I actually wrote into the company to ask what they have done! They insisted they have not changed the recipe, but I found out it is made in Portugal. There are much better Australian made icecreams around Show details

Not the same anymore – I used to buy this often and it used to taste creamy and delicious. Now it has no flavour - as If they have changed the recipe. I agree with the other comments here - that it is watery and tastes as if there is no sugar used perhaps some other sweetener? It was on special at IGA and I bet they have reduced the price as people are not buying it. I will not be buying this product again. Show details

Revolting – Huge disappointment. The 'icecream' has no creaminess and is a fake bright white and tasted strongly of sweeteners. You know it's bad when everyone would rather not have eaten it at all. Bought it for old times sake, won't make the same mistake again.  Show details

Can't agree more – Rubbish ! Why does woolworths even bother to stock this product in an obscure corner in the refrigerator. Feeling nostalgic for the old Vienetta ,I zeroed in on it when i found it looking for something else. Disapointed is an understatement.

A little disappointed – Streets Viennetta Vanilla still looks the same with its lovely layers. The ice cream however, leaves you with a somewhat watery taste in your mouth. A little bit more creaminess is needed please. The chocolate is still nice. Show details

Terrible Product – This used to be good, creamy and flavoursome. Like many other products over time cutting costs in production and pursuing higher profits comes at the expense of the quality of the product. As others have said it is now watery and tasteless.
