price was very similar to that of Stroud's quote, but we already paid a deposit. The other building company was extremely difficult to deal with and when we were seeking information about the area I would contact the Stroud Homes Sales Consultant for information; he knew we were building with another company but he very kindly shared his knowledge. We made a big decision to forgo our deposit with this other company and build with Stroud, we felt that the knowledge and dedication Stroud have shown is far more important in the long term than the money we would lose.

It was the best decision we ever made!

Stroud's quotes are black and white - the final quote we signed is the final amount we paid, and the knowledge and the dedication of their staff is exceptional. Every single one of the contractors and tradesman used by Stroud are absolutely lovely and have such good things to say about Stroud (which says more about the company than anything else). The interior designer is a miracle worker, she is honestly brilliant. The Contract Administrator and our Building Manager whom we have had the most to do with are saints; they are transparent, answer my million questions, explain every step of the build, do their utmost best to get things moving along as fast and smoothly as possible.

We know so many people who have had horrendous building experiences. Our journey has been exceptional, there have been the usual hold ups and bumps along the way but we are so grateful for how well Stroud dealt with these. Finally the quality of our build is to a much higher standard than I have seen elsewhere, our journey and the quality of the product is worth every penny and so much more!

Laura bent over backwards and endured multiple questions and changes of mind to ensure that we were getting the house that we wanted. Zac ensured our house build went smoothly - any minor issues we had were fixed asap and we never felt like we couldn’t ask questions and nothing was a hassle. Due to the teams excellent preparation and organisation we had minimal delays and finished with a stunning home that has some very minor defects which haven’t been any issue. that Stroud offers a colour consultaion at the start of the build, it helped us decide alot of things and the finish product looks so much better than even we imagined. Everything was exactly how we wanted it and if we needed to we would gladly build with Stroud again.

Our new home has exceeded our expectations and came out very close to what we had budgeted. The few minor changes we made along the way were straight forward and quickly incorporated. We couldn't be happier with how the build went.

The cheapest price isn't everything - professionalism, a fantastic name and a can do attitude are what got us across the line. We got to meet Tom (franchise owner) when we came to visit the display hime and our conversation with him solidified our trust in Stroud Lockyer Valley even further. We didn't get to finish the design or quote stages with the other builders we were looking at because we were so blown away with the contrast.

We're now signed up with plans approved and are ready to break ground in the coming days. Laura guided us through what ended up being a somewhat complex council approval and a few probably annoying plan changes but we never felt like we were on our own or a burden.

We've now been introduced to our site supervisor Zac and he seems highly professional and great to deal with on the short interaction we have had.

If the experience with the rest of the process is as good as the last few months we will be absolutely thrilled. We'll update or post another review once the build is complete. We couldn't be more excited to get in to our new Stroud Home.

Understand the client and deliver what is requested – Pete at Stroud Homes Ipswich is an absolute credit to the company. He listened and understood my needs and wants in a house and advised where necessary to achieve my dream home.
