DO NOT book with Student Flights
I booked a holiday with Student Flights Witfords back on 22/2/19 going to Bali for a friend's wedding.
I had told the lady to book accommodation Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 8th September with the wedding being held at the Pandawa Beach Villas and Resort.
Her first email back stated that " The hotel where the wedding is being held is actually on a different island to the main part of Bali. I have included ferry's to get to the island 'Gili T' but the boat departs in the morning you will need to spend 1 night in the main part of Bali before heading ov...
Very terrible experience
I cancelled my flights via phone on Aug 2, and the staff said I will receive my refund in 3~5 business day, which should be Aug 8. I didn't receive my refund on Aug 8, so I dialed the phone number again. The staffs said "we've already proceeded the refund, you can get your refund before Aug 10. On Aug 10, I didn't get the refund, so I dialed the number again. The staff said " you should wait until Monday (Aug 12), and ask your bank to see the transaction history." On Aug 12, I haven't got the refund. I went to my bank to ask my transaction hi...story, the bank said"student flight didn't proceed the refund." So I dialed the number again. The staff said "you have to wait until Aug 15." Every staff on the phone told me the different things. I have already waited for a long time, and have not receive my refund. I booked the ticket through website. I went to the real student flight store. They said the flight that was booked on website can only seek help from customer service phone number. The staffs in real store don't have the access of on-line booking. I think this policy is wrong. It's not friendly to customer. This policy make customers feel hopeless. Because when I cannot gain help from phone service, I need to seek real stores for help. I wrote a complaints letter to student flight. On August 12 night, team 7 leader phoned me to explain why my refund delayed and provide helpful & sincere assistance, which is good. However, Customer relations' staffs have unfriendly attitudes and are very impatient.

booked a flight with Rex , the customer service is so poor he was practically falling asleep while talking to me and i was waiting waayy longer than i needed to!!!
Feel like we have been robbed.
My Girlfriend and I booked a trip but due to personal reasons we are unable to go the dates that we had booked.
We explained this to our travel agent and tried to change flights/dates.
On top of the $1600 each we had already paid for these flights we were then quoted another $1000 each to change our flights, we asked for other options and his suggestion was to just forfeit our tickets and buy other flights for $900-$1000 each.
We had questions and still haven’t received any emails replying to our queries and it’s now been 6 days.
Really poor service and were left not knowing what we can do, want our money back.
Every single hotel the lady offered me was at least $100-$300+ more expensive than what I’d found online for the exact same room! do your research!! currently saving myself approx $1000+ on booking.com....

My partner moved her flight 5 days backwards to arrive at the same time as me. She was charged $150 to transfer the flight to an earlier time and received no refund for the pre-booked flight. A flight to the same destination is far less than $150 through other airline companies. Will never be using this service again.
We booked flights back in February, we have just received the itinerary as we leave in 5 days.. The dates are not the correct ones that we stated, in fact the agent had us to come back on the day before we were supposed to which is the day of the memorial/birthday we were going over for! Not only do we now have to pay $800 extra for THEIR stuff up, we also have to change hotels.
The flights were stuffed up but the accomodation was set for the original day we were meant to come back, how does that work?
I tried to book one of their 'deals' on flights a few times. Travel agents ignored my request for the deal (I even quoted the deal number) and quoted me flights which were $400 or $500 more expensive. After a bit of run around I was told the deal is booked out for the dates I wanted. That's fine but just tell me upfront so I don't waste my time.
In addition the flights they quoted for were more expensive than if I bought them directly through the airline. Don't waste your time. I found better prices using Google flights in 5 minutes flat.

Initially had an issue with my booking though I must say the follow up and attention to detail on customer satisfaction has impressed me. I have faith in using SF going forward as I know I have a dedicated team to assist should I need it. Thank you.
I'm sincerely confused by all the low ratings
I booked a group trip to Japan and Hong Kong for my birthday with a group of my friends and the moment we arrived at student flights we were handled so well the agent was able to secure us a deal where as long as we made our deposits we could pay the remainder of the flight by the end of the month. Our flights were only $700 return during quite a peak season and it was with Cathay pacific, we were offered much lower fairs but the sales rep did inform us that those fairs were not inclusive of baggage and we would be spending more money by adding...baggage he was not wrong for 20kg baggage it was an extra $180 meaning the $620 airfares we saw were actually $800 and Cathay came with 25kg baggage direct to Japan and a 7kg carry on which was perfect for 2 days clothing for Hong Kong. Not to mention the travel agent saved us an additional $130 by starting our trip off in Nagoya when we were planning to end it in Nagoya he compared the rates ( I also compared them on my phone at skyscaner just to make sure i wasn't getting scammed ) and he was completely right and the $130 we saved we all were able to purchase a bullet train ticket straight to Tokyo with from Nagoya! Lastly, I had to change my flight me and my boyfriend at the time were meant to fly from japan to the Philippines together whilst all my friends returned back to Sydney the night before we flew out we split up and I needed to return to Sydney with my friends, I rang student flights from Japan and explained to them I requested to be on the same flight as my friends as it was the night before i saw the rate for the one way fare online as $800 at that point I thought I'd be traveling to Philippines alone as I couldn't afford $800, thankfully I only had to pay a $200 change fee and they placed me on the same plane and allocated me a seat right beside my sister with less than 24 hours till that plane took off! I honestly had such a great experience with student flights and i would 100% return there, from all the negative reviews the one thing that seems consistant is either something occurred that was out of a travel agents reach aka airport loss of baggage, maximum capacity for last minute stays, cancelation of a tour by a tour company or you requesting a fare from a reseller when student flights works directly with the airline..? etc etc and from my own experience I know an agent is always available no matter where in the world you are 24/7 for assistance.
If I could rate lower, I would!
Student Flights, on the outside, looks extremely reputable and extremely cheap - what a great way for a uni student to afford a holiday! But, after booking a relatively cheap trip to Melbourne, all of a sudden I was greeted with over $150 of excess charges. A not-so-cheap trip with a low-cost airline and a cheap hotel suddenly becomes the same price as a trip where I could've paid for a much better airline and hotel. Customer service isn't too great either - their focus is trying to make their brand look good, and won't give out refunds. Be careful and if you decide to go with these guys, check EVERY detail. My advice? Don't go with Student Flights. Book your trip outright, and you'll save yourself a whole lot of worry and cash.
Low standard of service and low quality suppliers
Booked a tour as part of an overseas holiday. Supplier cancelled the tour and no alternatives were available at the last minute. Booking was then subject to cancellation fees. Book your tours and flights directly or choose another travel agency.
I called up to Student Flights and confirmed they do price beat. Therefore, I went to the centre, and they requested me to shown them the website (Aunt Betty or BYOJet) which lower fares than Student Flights in order to process the purchase. Before that I checked in airline website which there are still have 5 seats left at this fare. FYI, my booking is for 3 passengers. Ideally I should be able to get my booking at this lower fare. So I asked the staff (who is not friendly at all) to proceed for the booking. After awhile, she told me that the ...Aunt Betty website the fares are increased now. And the staff tried to convince me to buy directly from Student Flights which is cheaper than Aunt Betty now. I just curious why the fares were suddenly increased at the moment I wanted to make the purchase. So, I refused to purchase. After few days later, I checked the fare directly from the airline website again. The lower fares on my selected travel date has 5 seats left again. Therefore, I checked in Aunt Betty again. The fare displayed was the lower fare that I wanted to purchase on last few days. Again I went to Student Flights as they do price beat as what they promised. Once again the same thing happened when I wanted to proceed the purchase. I was told the fare was increased. And now only I knew how they did the beat price. They login to their system and make the reservation for 3 passengers based on Student Flights fare. So 3 seats have reserved. After that only accessed to Aunt Betty website and entered 3 passengers for the selected travel date. Of course Aunt Betty will show higher fare for 3 passengers. As in the airline website is showing 5 seats left, so after Student Flights have reserved 3 seats. Only left 2 seats. If I checked in Aunt Betty again definitely it will show me at higher fares as there were only 2 seats left at the lower fare now (I believe all booking system are linked and get up-to-date information). So, just wonder is this is a fair and correct process for price beat? I’m really disappointed to Student Flights. This is my first time try to book from Student Flights and will be my last time.
Never Book With Student Flights
I booked with student flights and its taken me time to write a review but the girl who convinced us to book went on about how she would party every weekend and get no sleep - should have been the first sign - since then I've been moved on to a new agent - legit have had no contact with him about anything besides a generic email - flights that should have cost $900 per person since somehow all these deals are out ended up costing me nearly 4 grand for 2 people - I hate student flights - book it yourself - honestly the travel agent would annoying...the crap out of me over message to book hotels when I found them for cheaper myself - guessing she wanted coms to party on the weekend - disgusting company - To Top It Off I receive an email about flight change - call the company and get told the travel agent is at home and I can't be helped til his back in the office - so I had to beg for him to tell me what changed LOL

1. First 24 hours in Japan:
2. I arrive in Narita airport. Luggage goes M.I.A. I am told it is still in Sydney. Attendant suggests I make my own way to Hakuba in the middle of winter in only a dress and stockings. They will send the luggage 'when it's ready'. She shows me a Google maps instruction of taking 3 different trains and two buses to get there in under ten hours. It is close to midnight. Attendant later pages me over terminal two speakers. They've located my suitcase.

How to rip off students 101
Recently tried to book a flight to London during peak season through Student Flights believing that I would be able to get cheaper than average pricing due to the fact they seem to advertise discounted prices. Multiple times I received quotes $500+ pricing that I could easily find on Webjet which is another trusted flight provider. The last quote I received for a Qatar Airways flight ($3300) was $600 above the price ADVERTISED ON QATAR AIRWAYS WEBSITE - I'm sorry how is that even possible when the airline isn't even advertising that price. Decided not to bother and booked with Webjet with Virgin Airways for $2350. Definitely not bothering in the future.

Best price, rip-off and the same old thing they reply sorry but as we found out they don't give a care because they have ripped you and got your money. They are useless at organise transfers and accommodation. they book you in resorts that are in the middle of f nowhere make it sound so good and you are stuck there paying loads of money to go some where and food.
