My machine is extremely noisy. Is that normal? It sounds like something is mechanically wrong. Only used twice. I was shocked by the noise.

Worst Processor ever!! Broke the first use, making a crumbly biscuit base using pulse in short bursts. Made a weird noise then stopped. Unplugged from power checked the blade and it all seemed fine. Turn it back on, just hums then nothing. Left it for 15 minutes and plug back in, turns a few times then stops and will not even work unless you turn power off then back on again. As with a few other reviews on here, getting the base and lid to lock -in is ridiculous and getting them off is worse. Returning this to Big W today. Not happy Jan.

Hi brad,

Unfortunately not, the LC6500 motor base and bowl have a different design.

I have a Sunbeam Model LC6000 multi processor. Since purchase a few months ago, the lock on top has been extremely hard to lock and unlock. I have now done some grating and cannot unlock the lid from the top. I am unable to access the food grated in the bowl. Faye

Hi Faye K, I know the lids can sometimes be very tight when new and can then loosen over time. If this is stuck you need assistance. You can either return to store or give our team a call on 1300 881 861 to help you with this.

Hi, Love love love my machine and the food processor but have only used the blender maybe twice/three times max. However, after one use of the glass blender I went to put it away from drying and noticed there is a crack all throughout the glass. I don’t think it leaks but I don’t want to use it just for it to shatter. Just curious if you sell the blender separate that suits this machine? Thanks!

Hi Tyne C, Yes this is available as a spare part.

Hi there, I have the Sumbean LC6000 multi processor. I have only used it approximately 4 times. The blender works but now the processor part is not working. Yes it’s clicked and locked into place at the bottom and top. Is there any common reason why it’s not working? Having trouble finding help elsewhere. Thanks!

Sunbeam   DM

Hi Bel, Really hard to tell why it would not be working. When you say it is locked in, please check the handle is locked when at the front of the machine as this is the only other thing when locking in place. If that does not work you will need to return to store...

Have a LC 6000 am having a lot of top putting cover on to lock?

Make sure the center piece where the blades attach to are in correctly and put the lid on turn and it sits under the locking clip nicely.

Thankyou for your reply but did manage but it is extremely hard,it will probably get easier as it gets used more

Hi EGlington63, always make sure the handle of the bowl is facing you, then turn the processing bowl counter-clockwise to lock into position.Place the processing bowl cover onto the processing bowl, by aligning the 'align to lock' icon.

marked on the handle, with the icon

(include arrow down) on the bowl cover.

Rotate the lid to lock.

Sometimes if you don't pay attention to the bowl and lid position it will not lock into place.

If you need any further help please give us a call on 1300 881 861 to see if we can further sort it for you...

Had the same problem - bring it back to the store u got it from as we went through as least 2 of these machines - One we couldn't get the lid on and the other we couldn't get it off. They shouldn't be that hard to get the lid off, as it's a food processor not a pressure cooker!

Hi I’m looking at buying a food processor to blend ingredients for baking and that includes things like nuts that I can’t normally blend up in a regular smoothie blender. Would this product be good for that? I’m just seeing a lot of reviews talking about blending for sauces and easy stuff like that..

We have been using this for a few weeks now and are happy with its performance but trying to remove the blade assembly from the blender is extremely difficult! I’m not sure if it’s just poor design or whether it’s faulty. We have tried using the measuring cup to “unlock” the bottom of the blade assembly but you cannot get enough purchase not are the recesses big enough to slot into the ridges. We noticed this difficulty early on but by tightening the assembly only finger right the blender leaks so you have to tighten it further. Can anyone help please?

Hello BenB. I bought mine 3 years ago and have hardly used it for the very reason you have written about! The whole unit is hard to operate and to take apart. I have improved mine by using Hellmars silicone spray (its food grade) on the locking device of the food processor bowl and where it fixes onto the bottom part. Sunbeam refused to take it back as it was out of warranty and were no help at all. They suggested I take it in somewhere to be fixed! Shouldn't need fixing if it had been like that from new..! I was not prepared to throw good money after bad, hence the silicone solution. Good Luck!!
