Hey. I just got myself a second hand food processor L6209and couldn't work out for the life of me how to get the lid off also... I can help solve the issues now, we'll it worked for me! I got a small syringe and filled it with baby oil ans gently squeezed it inbetween the lid and bowl because I thought it might make them glide open. Worked a treat!!! I guess olive oil might do the same. Both food safe. Lift the bit of the lid on handle as it locks in and turn clockwise to open. I hope this helps. Now I just have to work out how to use mine lol good luck.

Doesn't the military food processor come with a lid as we have on each and didn't come with a lid and it splats out of the top when blending

It comes with a lid 100% . You should take it back or contact sunbeam if yours does not have one

My multi processor LC6200 is breaking up The blade attachment is cracking I use it for cheesecakes and biscuit crumbs Can I buy replacements?

nunya
nunya

KBB that's Sunbeam's only downfall, if you read my review it says "you cannot JUST buy a part for it. That's it's only downside. Because it was just a part I needed, I bought my second one," The reason I bought my second on believe it or not is exactly the same reason, I too make cheesecakes, and the blade started to crack, it wasn't until I was doing the biscuit base that I spotted little white bits, it was the blade coming apart.

Hi KBB, This product has been discontinued for quite some time but yes the blade attachment is still available.

Hi. I bought my my food processor over a year ago and did not use it until now. It does not have the ‘pulse’ button but has P,0,1,2 on the settings wheel. It does not operate when any of the settings are chosen.

How do I operate it? Bokang

Sunbeam
Sunbeam   DM

Hi Lipuo N., Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. Please check the bottom of the motor base to confirm the exact model number. The LC6250 definitely has the word 'Pulse' printed on the button. All of Sunbeam Food processors will only operate if the bowl and lid are secured in place. Kind Regards Sunbeam .

AAgghh! I cant get the lid off the bowl of the LC2650.....It seems to be jammed on fast. I can take the whole thing -

bowl, lid, grater - off the mixer but cant then get the lid off the bowl to take the food out. Any ideas?

I had a similar experience and I think it was partially due to food caught between the lid and the bowl. I was able to release mine by using force. I realise there was a risk of breaking the device. So annoying. I’m wondering if soaking your blender in water would help but that is only likely to work if food is the cause of the problem. I’m wondering if you should contact Sunbeam but I’m not hopeful they will be helpful. At the end of the day the device is poorly designed. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Deirdre, and thanks for the tip about food caught between the lid and the bowl. In this case, I was testing out the machine as it has been given to me, so the bowl was empty, but still stuck fast. I will need to be extra careful once food is involved!

I managed to get the lid off eventually - hours later - after struggling with it for ages and ages. At one pint I thought I was going to have to break the lid. Not sure how long my relationship with this equipment will last - I might end up gifting it on! Thanks again for your reply, and the useful tips :-)

Did you do anything special Jol? I am having the exact same problem you did. Straight out of the box and lid is jammed shut, cannot be opened.

Hi, well I ran it under hot water, cold water, tried everything.......and eventually it came loose. I just kept trying, sorry, no magic trick. My husband, an engineer, agreed it's a design issue - he waxed the joints and that helped, so wax, WD40, any of those lubricants I guess would help for next time. Good luck!

Hi,

Does the LC6250 have an option for attaching a blender jug?

Dazza

My LC6200 does NOT have the blender option but you might look at Model LC6950 which is a 3 in 1 Processor

Will this blend frozen bananas without liquid?

Xtina
Xtina

Yes, we have blended frozen bananas to make ice cream. It does take a while and it isn't fully frozen when blended but it does the job. We usually pop them in an ice cream churner or back into the freezer for ice cream consistency.

Sunbeam

Hi Emily,

Sunbeam do recommend using liquid when blending.

Kind Regards

My Sunbeam LC6250 Runs straight away when I Put the cover in place The other controles

Don't work what is causing the problem

Sandi
Sandi

I would suggest that the control jammed on when it broke, so your machine is now literally on all the time. It's not safe to operate in that condition. I took mine to the service repair for Sunbeam and they replaced the control. Cost me $85.00 after telling me it would cost $25.00 so I would advise you to put it in the bin and use the $85.00 towards buying another product. It happened to two for me. They replaced the first but wouldn't replace the 2nd one.

Sunbeam products now made in China so I guess inferior products. Their own serviceman told me that this product is a heap of junk.
