Sunbeam Oskar Professional L7600 Questions & Answers
VerifiedDoes anyone know where I can buy parts for this food processor? Someone has lost my spindle & grater attachment & I desperately need them for work!
how
How to get spindel lose from the blade
Thanks for the suggestions. Yes the machine is about 10 years old. I didn't change any time the attachment so the original cutting tool is still on. It's pretty clean but it wasn't disablement.
How do I re-fit the lid seal ring that fell out. It shouldn’t be difficult... I’ve looked online and can’t find an answer
Hi Kath,
I have never had to replace mine yet, I have the last 2 days checked everywhere on line to find an answer to your query. I am none the wiser, how ever I I will check out the Good Guys for you.
kind regards,
Vic
Hi - I have just bought an Oskar Professional and I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried several times to fit different blades etc and it all seems to be fitted OK but still no luck. Is there a trick to putting on the spindle and attachments? It is very frustrating. thanks
Hi AstroGirl, could you please contact our Consumer Support Line on 1300 881861 when you are with your product for us to guide you.
Hi, I have had my trusty Oskar Food Processor for 29 years (!) and it is still going well. For the last few years the blade has been hard to extract out and so you can't lift the bowl up and empty the contents. The only way that seems to loosen the blade is to pulse the machine, this is not ideal as it then over-processes the mixture. Is their a better solution than this?
Hi Jacqui, you can take the product into your nearest Sunbeam Service agent for them to look at and advise. List of agents is on our website under Support and service.
Hi Jacqui. Sounds like your your spindle is binding. It may be due to old age and the plastic spreading or food residue. The first thing I would do would be to check that it is easy to remove immediately after placing it on. Try just the spindle without any blades or slicers. If not easy to remove have a close look at the internal splines and see that they are clean and not misshapen. I clean the inside of mine with a good old fashioned bottle brush and warm soapy water. It should be a fairly tight fit but still easy to remove. If that does not improve things then probably a trip to your local service centre might be your best bet. If you are still on the original bowl you are truly blest as mine only last a year or two before cracking and becoming unsafe to use:( Good luck. Wee Jimmy:)
Hello everyone, thanks for sharing your views for Sunbeam Oskar Food processor, I am thinking to buy this one but somebody can please suggest that whether it got a dough blade?? I had look the Braville brand food processor similar to this one and it got a dough blade. Can somebody or Sunbeam please let me know can I use this machine for dough making?? thanks
Thank you for your enquiry. You do not specify which model, so we will offer information on LC7600C. This is not suitable for making dough for bread as it does not have a dough hook. Sunbeam offers a variety of bench top mixers and hand held mixers with dough hook functions. For more information on these products, you can visit our website: external link . Thank you.
Hi .. As far as I know it does not have a dough hook. I do love mine, but I don't use a dough hook. I make my own dough by hand :) good luck I'm sure there are others out there that do have one.
Chris :)
Again unsure of your model but mine came with a dough making blade, not hook, stored neatly in the base of the unit. I have only made pizza and focaccia doughs but they were excellent:)
Hope this helps.
we have purchased one of these an update from the smaller one. The universal blade has been attached to the centre spindal but how do you remove it again to use theshredding and slicing blade??? help
Hi Brooklyn I find that using a flat solid surface such as a chopping board works well. Take the central spigot and attached blade and holding the outside edge of the blade with a firm grip and a tea towel, tap the top of the combined parts gently until the blade releases from the spigot. Just make sure you are holding the blade carefully with the tea towel or similar thick cloth.
Never fails and as long as you are careful, safe handling as with any sharp blade will leave you with two separated parts and fingers intact:)
Cheers
Wee Jimmy.
Hi guys... I had trouble with it at first, and thought I would cut my fingers off but I worked out that if you tap it upside down on the bench, it will pop out! Be careful it is extremely sharp! I usually hold it with a dishcloth or something similar. those blades are deadly. I bake for local cafes and use it a lot, and I love it. I do think it's a design fault, though, that the blade is so hard to get out. Hope that helps.
Chris. just yell if you need any more help - I have had mine for a while now. or let me know if you want my phone number and you can call any time. :)
How do you shred cabbage without it being too fine?
Hi Deb, have never shredded cabbage, but I guess you would use the grater? if so, it has two different sizes for grating, otherwise why don't you try a shorter time? I'm still loving my Oskar, but still think the blade is very difficult to get off without amputating your fingers!
Deb I haven't used my sunbeam mixer for a while now due to the dangerous issue of removal of blades. If you're feeding through the tube, you could check your slicing blade to see if it has a deeper slice on the reverse. Or if using in the bowl, maybe try pulsing it instead of constant so you can check it
Hi Deb40, Thank you for your enquiry, With the Sunbeam Oskar Professional model the variable stainless steel slicing blade allows foods to be sliced to a variety of thicknesses, from 0mm - 7mm.Please view page 8 in the following instructional booklet for further details - external link

how do you place the rubber gasket on the lid for the oskar food processor please?
Once you get the hang of it, it's easy but it has to be tight, otherwise it won't be safe. there's an arrow on the top right hand side of the bowl, line that up with the lid, push it in tight, move it to the left and it will lock in, if you still can't do it, call Sunbeam help line. Really you just have to fiddle with it. I've got it down to a fine art now. Also, the blade is very sharp, so I wrap it in a tea owel when I'm taking it off.
I love it! Use it every single day.
good luck.
ps: if that doesn't work, and you need any more help from me, just post to me,
