Purchased a pair of Maui Jim in store at Sunglass Hut Pacific Werribee. Was made to enter all my details in store for an online purchase as they did not have them in store. purchases don't warrant refunds. I explained that my reasons warrant a refund but the attendant was quite rude stating that the T&C's on the receipt stated "NO REFUNDS" I took her word for it as I did not have my reading glasses. When I got home I read the receipt which had no T&C's it simply read that the conditions are online. Online clearly states what I had initially been told from a different sales consultant at the same store when I made the purchase. I am clearly entitled to a refund. I feel as I have been lied to & that the sales consultant clearly does not understand the Sunglass Hut policies. I will never shop there again, a pity really as in the past I have purchased from Sunglass Hut without any hiccups. It takes an eternity to gain the loyalty of a customer & only seconds to lose it. Next stop will be Head Office first thing Monday

assist. Team members were grouped together at the front and back of the store, and I eventually had to ask the security guard at the entrance for help.
When I explained that the standard size felt uncomfortably tight and asked to try the larger size, staff refused. I was made to feel unreasonable for wanting to confirm the fit before purchasing, despite the glasses being close to a $700 purchase. When I asked about returns or exchanges if the sizing was incorrect, the staff member had to check with someone else, which took a significant amount of time, only to be told there were no refunds or swaps available. The interaction felt dismissive and unapologetic.
The contrast between that experience and Sunglass Hut was night and day.
My daughters and I were greeted warmly as soon as we approached. When I asked about sizing, the staff member immediately brought out both sizes for me to try on, without hesitation. She was knowledgeable about the product, confident in explaining return policies, and made the entire process feel relaxed and pressure-free. I didn’t feel rushed or judged, and the staff presentation and overall attitude were noticeably more professional and positive.
Being able to try both sizes meant I could purchase with confidence, and I’m very happy with my choice.
Many of my friends and colleagues are now upgrading from Gen 1 to Gen 2 Ray-Ban smart glasses, and I’ll be recommending they go straight to Sunglass Hut based on this experience alone.

It has now been 3 months of repeated follow-ups via email and phone, with assurances that the matter would be addressed internally—yet no resolution has occurred. This prolonged delay is unacceptable, leaving me without the product or my money.
I urge the company to take immediate action, honor its commitments, and implement a more reliable system for handling returns and refunds. Customers deserve timely responses and accountability, and I hope my experience serves as a reminder of the importance of delivering on promises.
Warranty is fake hahaha. Sound all lovely but trust me nobody ever get a claim . Very disgusting behaviour from workers and managers when you take in faulty item.

without looking any further as there was no way, during the busy Christmas week when we were doing our main shopping was I going to spend time, wondering what price range I was looking at and waiting for an assistant to let me know every time I wanted to know how much the glasses were. I don't know if this is a policy all Sunglass Hut stores, but I had every intention of purchasing a pair of sunglasses that day, and due to the poor customer service I left without any at all. Sunglass Hut seems to think it's okay to make up its own refund policy with zero consideration for Australian Consumer laws. Poor stock levels in stores where they often try to sell you the display model at full price. Was forced a gift card and told to order a replacement myself online, and it arrived damaged again. They then refused to refund and tried to force another gift card on me. Online customer service is worse, as they just ignore you because it's inconvenient for them. I had to follow up constantly after being ignored for over a week. It's like talking to a bot, because it feels like they just scan key words and respond selectively. It's either that or the staff they employ on customer service lack the English comprehensive skills of a grade schooler.
0/10, do not engage with this business. Especially their online store, it'll ship from a Chinese warehouse despite claiming to be 'in-stock'. Shop from somewhere with a more honest return policy, or just do without it, it's not worth the hassle.

No offer of a repair, exchange, or manufacturer warranty claim.
No apology—just a lecture about how I must have folded the arms incorrectly.
No willingness to escalate or even provide a formal complaint channel.
I asked whether Sunglass Hut Myer Highpoint stands behind the products they sell; the answer, effectively, was “That’s your problem.”
Overall Impression Zero accountability for product defects.
Staff visibly frustrated when asked basic warranty questions.
$400 gone and I’m left with broken frames after only a few wears.
Bottom line: If you value build quality and after-sales support, shop elsewhere or buy directly from the brand’s authorised website. Until Sunglass Hut Highpoint improves both its product vetting and its approach to customer care, I’ll be taking my business in the opposite direction.
