We got linked with this company through solar quotes. The other companies were fine but this one has hassled us relentlessly despite both me and my partner being very clear that they will not get our business due to their behaviour. Don’t give them your contact details, you will regret it.

No surprise that solar companies appoint another contractor to install the equipment. However for my case, the installer who installed it was from OnePower Solar. replaced the tiles the next day but damage was already done.

Next, they left the job incomplete from what was quoted. No smoke alarm, missing bollard, and no backup circuit. This took another 2 months for it to be rectified.

The first installation took place in Mid Nov 2025 and this is now Feb 2026. They still haven't repainted my ceiling as promised. My Solar registration is still not completed yet and it's been 3 months now.

In short, they're just another sales company pushing to close out deals but when it comes to the installation, it's a lucky draw from a bucket. The Customer Service team is pretty much clueless and keeps on deflecting my concerns.

rabbit holes with all there is to read and research, but in the end, speaking to an expert like Ray puts my worries at ease and I end up with a "no-regret" purchase. Actually, there is one regret, I wish I asked the draftsman to create a house roof design to maximise MORE SOLAR PANELS!!! Darn it, my roof can only fit 10kWh :D

Pricing wise, I got 3 quotes for solar panels and heat pump and every time, Sunline came in with the most competitive quote. For batteries, I didn't even bother getting quotes from others. I knew I was going to go ahead with Sunline. The relationship Ray has built with me is worth the trust I've put in them!

With solar panels, I got the Goodwe 10kWh inverter and Seraphim panels. I also installed Solar Analytics with it and I love watching the graph every day to see how my system performed. We have cut down on electricity bills by 80%. Most of our bills are due to gas now. The installation process was smooth. They turned up on time, got the job done within the day, came back a week later to 'activate' it. They even took photos of the installation from the roof and sent it to me so that I could have a record of what was done.

With the heat pump HWS, I got the Aquatech x8 and the installation process was also smooth and quick. They brought along a new concrete slab, removed the old unit, and ensured lagging of the pipes in the new unit was neat and secure. The Aquatech itself is performing well but the WiFi connectivity is iffy. It often goes offline and I have to reset it. I've only used the app a few times so I decided not to bother reconnecting it the next time it went offline.

With the batteries, Ray actually answered my questions at 8pm on a Friday night. I had gone down several rabbit holes trying to make sense of hybrid inverter size, battery capacities, ability to charge EVs, blackout switchover, and words that simply didn't make sense to me! But a call with Ray the next day cleared everything up. Same way he cleared things up for me with solar panels. He has technical knowledge and practical experience and every question or concern I had, he was able to put to rest in a nice way. I've gotten solar panels, heat pump and now batteries through Sunline Energy, all of it with Ray's guidance, and it has been the best experience to date. :)

(Ray) was patient, informative and answered every question I had. He was not pushy, spoke honestly and his respectful manner won me over. He suggested slightly cheaper panels (of almost similar quality per independent experts), but I really wanted REC panels so he worked out a suitable deal with me. I was so impressed that I also ordered a much-wanted heat pump for a really fair price. Solar panels were installed promptly and efficiently. They even sorted out a couple of tiles that weren’t secure. They were on time and quite quick. There was a slight hitch installing the heat pump (due to a subcontractor’s mistake). However Sunline Energy responded brilliantly- genuinely concerned to quickly investigate and ensure the mistake is not repeated elsewhere. Mick, the business owner, was brilliant and covered the repair cost by our own electrician - not many companies are that honourable these days! I believe that the response to an issue (nothing harmful btw) speaks to the integrity and quality of a business and Sunline Energy has definitely proved that they are top notch.
