I have purchased quite a few items from Sydney Tools Gregory Hills. Mo is the guy to see, he goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. He has spent so much time contacting suppliers to find me the correct items. I cannot speak highly enough of Mo, Sydney Tools is my first stop for all my equipment needs. check with the person I was buying for, and come back shortly if I needed to upgrade. I came back around 10 to 15 minutes later and upgraded to the larger Makita kit, DK0141G302, which cost $1,448.10. The kit stayed unopened, sealed, unused and in the original packaging. Shortly after, I found out the person I was buying for only needed the drill, so I tried to return the whole unopened kit and buy the drill separately. I was not trying to keep part of the bundle. I wanted to return the full sealed kit and buy the correct item. In my view, the main issue was the way the store manager handled the situation. The salesperson who helped me was fine, but once the return issue came up, the store manager’s handling made everything much worse. The store manager refused to process a cash refund and I was told only store credit would be offered, even though I was trying to return the whole kit almost immediately and it was still completely unopened. I was also told words to the effect that refund requests had to be escalated to the state manager for approval. But when I followed up, the response I got was still basically store credit only. From my perspective, that was not fair or transparent, especially after I relied on what I was told in store. What made it even worse is that Sydney Tools later framed the store credit offer as them “meeting me halfway” and as a “gesture of goodwill,” saying they had already gone out of their way to swap my original purchase. That is not how I see it at all. I came back almost immediately, the item was unopened, and I was trying to resolve the issue properly. Offering store credit for a $1,448.10 unopened kit is not “meeting halfway” in my opinion. They also later claimed their returns policy was clearly displayed at eye level on the desk. That was not my experience. No returns policy was pointed out to me before I paid, and I dispute the way they have described what happened. I also contacted head office. The first phone call with head office was very disappointing. In my experience, they were rude, dismissive and not helpful. I have also tried emailing head office and the store multiple times, but the position remained the same: no proper refund, only store credit. I am now having to go to NSW Fair Trading and NCAT to submit a claim just to try to get my money back for an unopened item. In my opinion, this could have been handled with common sense and basic courtesy within five minutes. The Makita product itself is not the problem. The problem is the way the sale, upgrade and return request were handled, especially by the store manager, and then the lack of proper help from head office afterwards. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sydney Tools Gregory Hills. If you need clear advice, transparent return information or fair after sales support, I would seriously consider saving your money and going elsewhere.

the pressure washer back and they told me to contact in 4 to 6 weeks. I waited 4 weeks and called them, without even checking. They said call back in 6 weeks. I contacted in 6 weeks, they said that they have nothing to do with this, I have to contact karcher directly as they no longer deal with karcher. They wasted my 6 weeks and also the store manager James is a arrogant person. So much attitude. I said I bought from your store, so why I have to run around for this, I bought to use it and now I don't even have pressure cleaner , I lost the money. Having dispute and arguments at home. Please everyone .

Dont buy anything from gregory Hills store , very bad staffs and manager . Also if you really need to buy something, buy else where , but not sydney tools

didn’t have time to get it done, ok weird but fair enough. Tuesday only bloke that can put it together wasn’t in, Wednesday same thing, Thursday didn’t have time to get it done. Enough was enough and was sick of being stuffed around when they have my 2k+ since Saturday. I was told by the bloke over the phone that it was my fault as I placed the order online and that I should never use the websites online shop and only ever buy items in person from inside the shop and their online shop is useless. I called head office and informed them. It was organised that I could pick my item up from another store which had the item in stock and I couldn’t pick it up disassembled due to warranty. I only used to shop at sydney tools Gregory hills as it was convenient. Every time I’d go in there, 5 or so staff would be behind the counters talking to each other and not even acknowledge your existence till they were ready and mostly would have attitude when finally serving you when they’re ready to do so. I’m over their crap and taking my business to total tools who have been awesome transferring my business to them as I needed a new commercial grade air compressor anyway. Good riddance!

Daytona sale rep says only 3 months warranty – I bought Sydney Tools brand called : DAYTONA multicolored allen key from Gregory Hills on 09.01.22 and I used only the first time on 9.8.22 number 4 got rounder and on 10.8.22 I went to Gregory Hills a sale rep his name is [Name Removed] said warranty only 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!I guess not true what he said Never will approach the store as long as Bunnings has an item or similar will go with Bunnings Show details

No limited offer or limited products mentioned on purchase and swap advertisement – I called the store twice today and the last time was at 5pm. Advised by sales team that this offer was until closing 8pm. On arrival after traveling for 1hr 20mins I was told the deal is over and offered a single battery??? Bonus item missing in action – Same as last poster, bought belt sander + belts to qualify for bonus impact driver set. On delivery bonus was missing. Very bad customer service – I bought tools and was advised by 2 of the sales guys that if I spend another $41 on tools, then my total will be $250.00 and I will qualify for a $50.00 in store voucher for my next purchase with in 14 days. because the items I bought earlier was a reduced price. The manager didn’t even bother saying sorry or to apologise that his staff gave me the wrong info. They have definitely lost my business. I am a tradie and was spending thousands of dollars every year.... but not anymore.

Fantastic customer service - Ahmed – I went in last week, to collect a kit for my sons 18th birthday present. He wanted to swap something out but Ahmed told him, he would lose on value. Ahmed called a Milwaukee rep and my son ended up with a free product and the rep is bringing him some blades, to suit his plumbing trade! Why are we waiting – Ordered tool boxes from Sydney Tools Gregory Hills 29.6.18 we were told 4 days, had numerous phone call all made by us only one call returned. 3 weeks later were told they can't tell us when our tool boxes will be in and we should go to the warehouse and collect it from Roselands.
