Tried to charge me 55% too much
Went to the store , chose the Xtorque Angle driver bit holder, model no: XTAD01, $29 on the shelf ticket. Went to the counter, man said, that will be $45, I looked suprised and looked over towards the display. he said," Oh you are looking over there...OK" and then charged me $29 .
Came home check on line, price was $45!! plus $10 delivery.
I will Never buy tools from this Store .
I Bought a Mikita Tile cutter , when I try to use it , it’s a Lemon .
I took it back , the manager told me that it will take 8 Weeks to be repaired.
But it’s a new Mikita tool , why do I have to go through this ; I said .
He replied : it’s a company policy.
Sydney tools ( Company ) , I will never ever buy anything from you again , live and learn .

Left me hanging.
I purchased a dewalt 18V/54V; 4 port fast battery charger from Hoppers Crossing Store.
I have been chasing it for 4 months since 12 Jan 2020. The store manager did not have the basic courtesy to update me on the delayed status or whatsoever. The customer service is slow and and almost inactive. I regret shopping at Sydney Tools!

Total tools has always been here, but thought I'd try out the new Sydney tools store. Unfortunately my experience has been bad.
For a warranty claim, instead of just replacing the faulty product, I was told they had to send it to Sydney to get it looked at, and would take 3-4 weeks, and they would call me when it was ready to pick up. He also stated he could see it was broken, and he knew it was a pain in the butt, but it was just procedure. Fine, I just went with it.
After 4 weeks I call them back as they havent gotten back to me. Apparently,...

3 Months waiting for REFUND
I purchased a petrol typhoon pressure washer that twice failed. First time I took it back after 2 hours of use fouled a plug, After returned to me, the pump actually spat a nut and water came pouring out on use. Video to show. I am going through a waiting period of around 3 months without one phone call from Senior position or email on what is going on. Customer service cannot get through tried and tried. I have rang many times and been in touch with [name removed] senior regarding this matter. Phone call to prove. This should have been refundable immediately i don’t want a problem / repaired item that didnt even see 3 hours of use. Where are you Sydney tools?

Adrian at Sydney tools in Epping is very knowledgeable about the product range in his store. As a carpenter I asked him some very pointed questions for which his response was quick and straight to the point which indicated to me that he knew what he was talking about. After researching the tools I thought I wanted on line It turned out that they were not the right ones for the job. The whole team were happy to talk about my needs and how they could best help me. It was very refreshing customer experience and I will be happy shopping with these guys again. I highly recommend Sydney Tools Epping for all your construction needs

Do not Honour Warranties
Bought a Gensafe 3500 used only a number of times over the period of 12 Months, power stopped being delivered to outlets and ran rough. Returned for warranty repair and was advised it had too much oil inside, and wouldn't turn over and said it was my fault (oil was never touched from new) and it wasn't worth fixing and returned it me in pieces. When it was taken apart I took to another local tool shop and they diagnosed as an internal collapsed bearing. Had it fixed there instead.

As I had no idea what I was looking for he suggested the perfect set up, assisted in giving me a great deal and helped me to the car! Very bad first impression for a customer
Bought a lawn mower from them which turned down on my expectations and in change of mind I did the right thing by trying to return it in 2 hrs but now the store manager is unable to make decisions on the situation which to me is very simple as a customer if me or someone buying a product how do we know that is satisfactory even then the store manager is asking me to return in brand new unboxed condition which was a stupid question to be asked from a manager who cant take decision but can run a store as a store manager.
I had a phone call from...the store manager who said is trying to solve the issue about the return of which he was able to deliver sorry for god knows how many times and kept saying how do they know that the product is ok now while me returning it and thats When i mentioned it to him that how can u say that the product is ok without using it especially when the product itself says in the manual that do not turn it on until unless filled up with Engine oil and petrol So I requested him to get me a call back from the director who he has been in contact with trying to solve the problem so now I am waiting
Made special trip to purchase tools but waited way too long to get any service. Left the store emptied hand n not happy. I will purchase elsewhere. And lots of products with no price tags.
After ordering and receiving the item I discovered I had ordered the incorrect item ,I then contacted them and it was changed over the following work day .Cameron it was great to know good customer service still exists.Russell

So many lies, orders never received, money taken, faulty items and no returns policy. Company should be shut down. It's only a matter of time. Don't risk it. The discounted prices aren't worth it
Poor customer service (Dandenong)
I purchased a Unimig Welding Helmet at the Dandenong store and with it Cover Lenses as selected by the stores Manager. On inspection later on I realised they were the wrong lenses for the helmet. I returned to the store and was told they didn't stock the correct ones. I was told I could either 1: Wait until they made a bulk order (perhaps in a few weeks time), 2: Accept a store credit or 3: Have my money refunded via a bank deposit which would take 5 working days. As it wasn't my error I asked for my money back there and then and was refused.
...Being the customer, not being in the wrong or changing my mind, I found their refund policy ("ACCC approved") and suck it up attitude appalling. As too the fact they sell a product without the necessary consumables in stock. I doubt I'll go back.
