conjunction with his insurance, they had all the details of the driver, my details and my vehicle details, everything you would provide to an insurance company as well as a claim number. I just had to fill in a few details and my side of events. They said they would arrange a hire car for when I needed it when the car was at the repairers, I didn't need it before hand. I assumed the details came from the other driver. But on trying to arrange the vehicle to be fixed at my preferred repairer they told me to call the insurance company. I called real insurance company and gave them the quoted claims number from Tamms, they bought everything up and and she spoke about a hire car, I said it had been arranged, she told me it hadn't. When I said I had a call from Tamms she was shocked "don't use them, they are scammers". But how did they get all the details? How did they know about the accident, she said they were slick and obviously had their ways. I then rang the driver and the first thing he said was he had a phone call from my insurance company, but I hadn't contacted my insurance company. I told him we were being scammed and we were both horrified. Tamms didn't get the information of the accident from me and they didn't get the information from the other driver, the insurance company calls them scammers and didn't give them any information, So where did they get all the details of the accident that they knew??? Be careful if they say they are from Tamms, hang up immediately.

Worse company ever- don’t recommend at all – I was involved in an accident that wasn’t my fault. I accidentally dialed tamms thinking it was my insurance, turns out it wasn’t. They took my details which were details of the accident, the other driver’s insurance details, driver’s license details and rego number. the at fault driver and email address and i explained that i didn’t have those details and asked if it was still ok, the man handling my case stated thats still fine, they can track down the driver number through a search system they have, i was told to expect a call within 24-48hrs to organise to a hire car. This didn't happen and i never received a text message for me to upload my images from the accident either- which i had been told would happen, so i called the following day and was told that the person handling my case would call me back later that evening, this didnt happen. I called again the following day only to find out from another person that my application had not been submitted at all, due to missing details of the other driver, so by that point had wasted 2 days post accident. TAMMS then corrected this and asked for images from the accident which i supplied. Was again told to wait 24-48hrs to organise hire care drop off. This didn’t occur so called AGAIN after another 48hr wait (by this point it had been 6 days post accident) only to find out that they were struggling to find the other driver’s phone number to get in contact hence why it was taking so long. I was told i would be contacted by the company supervisor/ higher ups to discuss further. AGAIN this didn’t happen, the following day i received a message stating TAMMS is unable to move forward with the application as they were unable to get in touch with the other driver and they hadn’t submitted an insurance claim with their insurer- both of which i had disclosed because i hadn’t gotten a claim number from the at fault driver. The lack of professionalism and communication from this people is astounding and disgusting. Really disappointed. They wasted a whole week doing absolutely nothing from what i can tell, whereas if they had communicated earlier on that they are unable to follow up or proceed without a phone number i would have found another avenue to get my car fixed. i had to continuously call them to follow up. Would NEVER recommend to anyone. Go with your insurance or even a lawyer would be better than third party companies like this.

The Customer Service is Amazing! – The customer service is elite. Alexis was really friendly and helpful the whole time. Especially when I had to go overseas during the rental period, he communicated and helped me to make sure that the car was ready and the pick up and drop were smooth so my work would not be affected. stress as he made me feel at easy. once they called me back to organize everything i did not have to do a thing as Tamms did everything for me, every person who i came into contact were so nice and helpful, from the tow truck person who collected my car, to the person who delivered the hire car to my house, and the people who called and text message me to keep me updated and the man who delivered my car back to me and collected the hire car. Best experience ever, i highly recommend Tamms to assist you if you have an accident and you are not at fault. I had the hire car for as long as it took to repair and return my car and there was absolutley no cost what so ever to me.

Car Repair process – Repair process was amazing , stress-free. Smooth process, giving you lots of information about your rights how to handle a situation that may occur. More importantly hiring a vehicle equivalent to your own vehicle or higher while your car is being repaired with no cost to you. Not entirely truthful – Accidently called their number due to well placed advertising in google staff seemed professional. My current insurance policy does not give a rental car so Tamms told me that they offer a vehicle while the car is being repaired. this is pertinent information they did not call me back so now a week later have to make a claim. I could only imagine what would have happened if my car got towed and received one of there cars I dare say I would have been out of pocket for there services.

Scam artists, very clever ones – I was involved in a rear end collision, I thought I was talking to racv, but somehow I was talking to TAMMS, they were very pushy about bringing me a hire car. They are not an insurance broker, they are are a hire car operator, their sole objective is to get you to keep the car for as long as possible. Do not go there. Report them to scam watch on Australian consumer law.

TAMMS work with Scammers – Watch out, they work with SCAMMERs. My Car was hit in the rear, so not at fault accident. Car was driveable so left after exchanging details. Then received phone call from tow truck driver (0411 803 446) that he can pick up the car immediately and get it repaired, if I don't go via him it will take 18 months to get repaired. Then the next day I got contacted that my car will be taken to TAMMS (https://tamms.com.au/) from Crash response center, [Name Removed], 02 9692 3559 and that my car would be picked up at 10:30am for repair. It sounded suspect so I contacted SUNCORP who had no knowledge of any repair on my car, nor tow truck driver, so I booked the repair through the Insurance company.
At no point did the people who rang from the Crash Response Centre say they were not affiliated with the insurance company, they made it sound like the insurance company had organized this, a major SCAM, no idea how they got my details but it is easy to assume the insurance company had organized TAMMS for repair but they never did
Rang back 02 9692 3559 and [Name Removed] answered, asked how they go my details, they stated don't know, told them if they tried to take my car I would report them to the police for theft. Looks like these are ambulance chasers who work with TAMMS, I am guessing the Tow truck driver for the at fault driver sold my details to this company without my permission, breaching the privacy act and then they work with TAMMS to rip off the insurance company all unknown to the driver. Hate to see what these companys are doing to our premiums

DON'T USE, BROKEN PROMISES, NO ACTION – My advice: do not use these services for a whole lot of reasons 1. They use sneaky Google Ads to get themselves at the top spot of Google with a phone number just above your own insurance company. In all fairness, they did state that they are not my insurer, but never told me that they are from TAMMS. Their Google Ad is also under a different… Read more

2. They promise the world when you call them. They would get this all sorted for me ASAP, I'd get a loan vehicle the same day (not mentioning this is only if your car needs towing). Then when you call the actual department later, the story becomes very different. Simply put, they aren't telling you the full story in their "sales" team.
3. No updates at all. I've lodged this a week ago, yet no one has ever reached out to me. I was initially going to get someone assigned the next day, then Friday and we are now a week further and nothing has been done. Plus you risk that if they send the bill to the opposing party, that it gets rejected. I decided to go through my own insurance, despite the 35mins hold each time I call them.

after 2.5 days of mess I’ve now just been told by my insurance company that TAMMS is known for this type of unprofessionalism and are known for not getting back to victims of accidents. PLEASE I beg of anyone that ever comes across this name to completely defer and find another, or be cautious when believing you are speaking / contacting your actual insurance.

No show on replacement car. No call back – Same as most. Googled my insurance but accidentally called this mob. Seemed all good on the call. No show on my replacement car. Tried calling 4 times and was told my call was put through as a priority. 10 hours later, no call, no car. Called Right2drive, same person answered.... Started out good but a big fail in the end – Good communication and response for getting my vehicle repaired but....... If you are in Canberra don't bother calling them as you cannot get free car hire (right2drive) as they don't deliver to Canberra. The smash repair company that was going to fix the car (Sydney) changed their mind and decided not to fix it. Business not related to TAMMS but recommended by them. Just a waste of time in the end which is a shame.

Liz and the staff at TAMMS were so very helpful – My whole experience with TAAMS was fantastic. A replacement car was delivered immediately. I was given consideration and courtesy from Liz and the team each time I spoke with them. When I needed a little extra time to get finance for another car it was no problem.
