Can 43P6US download apps? Like Disney+. If yes, how?
I contacted TCL Australia asking this question, and the answer was no. Pretty damned useless operating system is the cause. I will never buy TCL garbage again.
Will this T.V work on a 5Ghz to internet
Will this T.V. only work on 2.4gmodem
Will this T.V. only work on a 2.4g modem. We have a 5g modem and the TV will not connect to the internet
In my experience it struggled to work with any modem. I had to use wifi extenders to get it to work at all, but fair to say it's wifi performance is feeble. Even when it did manage to connect, it had frequent drop outs & constant buffering. In the end I got sick of it & replaced it with a LG TV & never had any further wifi issues.
How can I remove apps such as YouTube?
I need the TCL 43P6US software update file. Where can I get it?
Can you download google play to your tcl tv ? If so how?
No I don't believe so. It is a Linux operating system & can't be changed. Note also that TCL have suspended sales of their Google TV's due to problems with the operating system.

You have to be connected to the internet for freeview to work and you need to find the Google play store for stan you should be able to find it there.
tcl Store no Google play store .. May be a roku streamer not android
You must be on TV input setting NOT hdmi input

Hi Shaun,
But Where is google play store in TV?
Hi, I just bought the TCL 43P6US online and I thought it was meant to be running Android TV OS? It seams to be running an Android based OS? Can I get access to the google play store to install Plex and Kodi?
Thanks, Simon
I don't think you can. It is Android based but I believe only specific apps available. Bit should have google play movies and TV, Spotify etc but I don't think it has a "play store". Might have to use kodi on laptop and steam it using chromecast. I haven't tried that myself but worth looking into.
P.s. Does your TV take ages to boot up? If so, press the home button, scroll right to the bottom and select settings. There should be a quick boot or quick power option there which puts the TV into sleep mode instead of fully off.
Thanks Scott, I might try looking into installing a apk app if its android based.
