Their web page (laughingallthewaytothebank.co.uk) claims a UK service centre, which does not actually exist. They insisted I return it to Hong Kong, and ignored protestations that it is illegal to send used batteries overseas. In their emails, they said that if I was unable or unwilling to return the phone, there was nothing they could do.

The phone actually requires a new motherboard, cost around £260. In other words, it is now a worthless piece of plastic.

What they don’t tell you is that they source the phones from multiple countries and are therefore set up for that country’s language, including the initial screen. In my case it was Vietnamese. I managed to find the right ‘button’ to get to a list of language choices and chose English UK. That made most things readable except the calendar was prepopulated with lots of Vietnamese events, written in Vietnamese with a bright red highlighted back ground. Spotify also came up in Vietnamese. I was concerned about what else was going to be foreign and decided to return it under their 30day refund guarantee as they could not give any advice on how to correct these issues. Getting a refund was impossible!

They have to authorise a return first, required a factory reset and stated the phone had to be undamaged. After reset I took lots of pictures to show no damage, before very safely packaging it for despatch.

*Be warned, most courier companies regard mobile phones as A PROHIBITED ITEM and will not accept them, despite the fact they delivered it in the first place! Royal mail was fine.

TecoBuy acknowledged safe receipt after another 10 days or so and then wanted my Google account and Password(?), claiming they needed it to unlock the phone. I challenged the need for this and they decided they didn’t need it after all!

There were lots of messages backwards and forwards over many weeks before they claimed it was damaged, but without saying how or where. I requested photos which they sent showing a scratch on the back cover. I sent my photos of the same area showing no damage. They refused to accept this proof. They insisted the phone was damaged and refused a refund. They demanded £32 to send it back, or they would just keep it. I had to pay this and the phone eventually arrived back with me after another 15 days or so. All this had taken months.

I checked the phone for the damage they had sent pictures of and there was nothing there. No damage! Whatever they had taken pictures of, it was not my phone! I messaged them about this stating they had falsely refused a refund as the phone was undamaged. They completely ignored this claiming it was damaged and just closed the case.

There was nothing I could do to get the refund and all the postage cost me another £60 or so in top of the purchase price. They are not UK based and our consumer protection laws do not apply. My experience shows they are either dishonest or incompetent. BE WARNED – SHOP ELSEWHERE.

of use on the Medium setting. After 6 weeks (using the machine twice a week only) the vacuum cleaner stopped working totally despite being fully charged as the trigger appeared to be faulty. We contacted Tecobuy through their website message centre (They did not advertise a phone or a proper email.) All we got was an automated response with a ticket and a claim number which was never followed up by Tecobuy. We actually never received a phone call or an email to tell us what to do with the expensive vacuum cleaner. We contacted Dyson NZ to register our machine which was an effective and faster way to deal with the issue. A year ago, one of our family member ordered an exercise bike which never properly worked and arrived slightly damaged. They got a replacement product just as bad and cheaply built as the first one.

It appears that Tecobuy Australia (A Hong Kong based company with branches in the UK, US, AU, etc.) no longer exist.

DONT DO IT!! – Ipad stuffed up in 3 months. I have to send it pay to Hong Kong (even though it was an Australian site??!!), 3 months to access and repair, and your own cost $52 to send back...that's all if it's under warranty!

I would not recommend It – I would not recommend It is a Chinese company. Which does not inform you that the delivery takes up to a month. You can forget about returns for a minimum of 10 weeks WAIT. minimum cost £ 40. When it comes to guarantees, the waiting time of two months does not work. Very bad reviews, I do not recommend it.

no option to call them and ask for status update. I have been waiting 40 days for Airpod pro and my money has gone down the drain. It is not how deliveries work in UK. I don't understand how such fraudalent companies are allowed to operate in UK (or any country for that matter).

I then involved paypal, I ordered another ipad with John lewis on my visa as it was my sons only Christmas percent arrived the next day! I would of saved £70 through Tecobuy! for all the hassle heart ache and worry...

Then on the 31st Jan the ipad from Tecobuy turns up! I have asked to return it they say it has to be back in 30 days from delivery (bank holiday weekend) yet they couldn't get it to me after £670 within 30 days!!

Absolute cowboys and as far as I am concerned criminal!! you will also get an adapter plug as its not a UK model.

Tecobuy had the cheapest Black Friday deal on the Galaxy Tab. So of course I'll save $10-$15.

So clearly they did not even have stock of the product they were selling. Or they decided they weren't making enough profit. Or whatever idiotic excuse.

This is not how shopping works. You don't buy a product, pay for it, and then it is up to the retailer to decide whether or not they want to send you the product.

Communication has been nil. After all the bad reviews and complaints about communication from other purchasers, I figured I'd just kick back and wait.

Were there not so many bad reviews, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. But with so many bad reviews, this appears to be business as usually.

Don't bother purchasing from Tecobuy unless you're happy to wait a month, and then flip a coin as to whether they'll actually feel like sending you your purchase.

Good product, all working smartphone, quick postage – I bought a Samsung A51 Galaxy, cheap. The phone works on all Australian networks out of the box and they even gave me a charging adapter that works too. Postage was pretty quick, (10 days), however I did pay for priority insured postage.
