calls. Took it to tecworks in aDelaide and the salesman was very negative. Told me it had a small chip in screen and small crack on rear of phone. They were not there when I purchased the phone brand new. The damage is not causing the problem. They wont cover it under warranty and want me to pay for the repairs. DO NOT take anything to these guys for warranty repairs. They work for samsung and seem to side with them so Samsung dont have to pay for repairs. Worst customer service that I have ever recieved.

Follow-up  · Picked up the phone from them without repairs.I will never deal with them again. I would also suggest that other customers use someone else aswell They claim that the smallest little mark caused the software problem that the phone had when I purchased it from new.

overseas trip. Truly helpful and efficient—highly recommend! Why they are amazing: Fast Diagnosis: Inspected and confirmed the fault in less than 20 minutes. Rapid Resolution: Arranged a new replacement device immediately. Excellent Logistics: Had the phone shipped via express post from Sydney within 24 hours. Helpful Staff: Saved my trip by sorting out a critical issue quickly.

Follow-up  · It was covered under Samsung Warranty Claim so no cost. They found the fault with the phone immediately and replaced it the next day. My phone wasn't in stock so they express shipped it from Sydney.

This review is for Tecworks Brisbane. These guys are amazing. They have replaced my Galaxy S21 plus screen for free, even though the phone is way, way out of warranty. They have liaised with Samsung on my behalf and had the phone repaired in just under 5 days ( two of them were Saturday and Sunday). The lady at reception was easy to deal with and professional. All in all a very positive experience. Thanks guys. You are the best!

My ipad was returned to the good guys and sent it to techworks. They told me the battery swollen and ipad out of warranty. I stated its probably a faulty battery as the same issue happened during warranty .No customer satisfaction from Samsung or tech works. Square trade selected these guys to repair my laptop under warranty, visually you can see the fans have no fins left, and are not operating, armoury crate shows they are no operating and also shows the temperature of the laptop rising until shut down at 91 degrees, not to mention the rediculous noise the fan makes trying to turn. Despite this I… Read more

sent it away for a 2 weeks round trip for it to be returned with it being "all good" I rang and disputed this and was told it passed the "stress test" and I should just raise another claim. Not sure how you can receive a job with overheating listed, and not check the fan operation, to top it off the laptop was returned damaged.

Absolutely worst customer service I've had. Extremely disappointed being accused of damaging my phone when no damage was done to it. Phone was under warranty but refused to repair. Negative people work their, avoid.

Follow-up  · Phone had internal fault, no damage to Phone externally except 1 little scratch that the guy kept pointing out. Accused me of braking it without being inspected and will not fix under warranty just gave me a $500 bill to pay.

After nearly 7 weeks, I’ve finally received my laptop back from Tech Works. The entire process was frustrating and inefficient. I had to send the device in twice, and throughout that time, there was no proper communication or status updates regarding my complaint. The helpline was consistently unhelpful, especially one representative named… Read more

Rentaa, who showed little interest in assisting me. The only positive experience I had was with Adrian, who was genuinely cooperative and made an effort to resolve the issue.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid Tech Works if you value your time and peace of mind.

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the customer service I’ve received from Samsung Australia and your partner, TEC Works, over the past two weeks regarding a warranty claim for my phone. I am a FIFO worker and rely heavily on my phone for essential access, travel coordination, and security credentials. When I… Read more

submitted my faulty device (which is still under manufacturer warranty), I was advised that I would receive a resolution within 1 to 3 business days. It has now been over seven business days, and despite daily follow-ups, the only response I receive is “we’re waiting for the case manager to contact you.” I have been bounced between Samsung and TEC Works, who even gave me a contact number that is unreachable. Repeated calls to Samsung result in escalations that appear to go nowhere. When I requested that my faulty phone be returned to me in the meantime (as it is partially functional and could support my needs temporarily), I was told “our system does not work like that.” Frankly, this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve encountered. For a Tier-1 company like Samsung, I expected better — particularly when compared to competitors like Apple, whose post-sale service is far superior, more responsive, and professional.

Avoid this firm for a warranty check ( there are others) though I suspect all may be the same - seems to be an insurance industry standard. You only have to read the other reviews below to know this firm and its employees have no integrity or honesty and the culture would appear to me is to Lie and deny!. My same scenario, dropped phone off for… Read more

warranty - as z fold screen had black line down centre of inner screen - 18 months old. within an hour emailed and asked for $1050 for new screen - I rang - was told not covered because of "dent" in side. Firstly there is no dent. maybe scratches, BUT there was no explanation on how a scratch or dent is related to a failed screen, clearly hadn't pulled screen off to see either. PS phone had not been dropped or banged ( possible once about 9 months ago fell out of pocked sitting on a dinning chair- but continued to work for 9 months - no cracks chips or broken screens). It is disgusting the lack of honesty and integrity displayed by this firm, clearly an internal policy to lie and deny. Also clearly a symbiotic relationship with Samsung as they keep getting recommended and hence make money. Clearly this is a pattern - you only need to read the reviews here. My next stop is a concerted approach to ACCC and consumer affairs. Just to add I buy phones for 4 of my family - just won't be buying Samsung any more - pretty short sighted view by Samsung and its representatives.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD DO NOT LET HARVEY NORMAN SEND YOUR PHONE TO TECWORKS FOR MANAFUCTURES WARANTEE REPAIRS My screen stopped working on my Samsung Z FOLD mobile phone which is still under manufacturers warrantee , furthermore I also paid an additional $300 for a superior warrantee called product care that I was told would cover anything that goes… Read more

wrong with the phone.

My phone was sent to Tecworks under warrantee to be fixed . To my surprise Tecworks sent me a short text message saying I need to pay them $1050 to have my phone repaired. I rang up Tecworks up to find out what’s going on .. A gentleman there told me that Samsung had told him that Samsung are blaming me for the screen not working and they will not cover it under warrantee. OBVIOUSLY, I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THIS so I challenged him and said how could they say no when they have not seen the phone or called me ands I have not heard anything from Samsung. He said he is really sorry but its out of his control as he sent photos to Samsung and they said its not covered.

This did not sound right to me, So I called Samsung direct and that’s when the FRAUD was uncovered . Samsung told me they knew nothing of my phone nor me and had received no communication from Tecworks whatsoever. I made Samsung tipple check as I couldn’t believe I could be lied to so easily . They tripled checked and told me they have no records of me again.

I rang Tecworks back and asked for a manager to report this. They did not want to put a manager on at all . I insisted and after a long time a nice lady got on the phone to me claiming to be his manager . I told her I had been lied to and this is not how you should conduct business. She doubled down on the LIES and try to tell me he did send photos . After telling her to send me the email they sent Samsung to proof they actually sent photots , she came back and said “Sorry you re right he got it wrong and sent the photos internally and sorry he is new to our business! “ YEAH RIGHT! SUCH LIES. She then told me she would send it to Samsung now for an approval to have it reviewed under warrantee. 2 days later Samsung rang me and said that my phone would not be fixed under warrantee and I need to pay Tecworks $1050 to have it repaired. TO MY SHOCK AGAIN I challenged their review of the phone . Samsung told me it is not them that have decided to not cover the phone as they go under the advice of Tecworks as they are an approved service centre in Australia and Tecworks have told Samsung not to cover the phone being fixed! Smasung said you would need to call Tecworks and ask why they wont fix it under warrantee. GUESS WHAT! Tecworks blames Samsung as its out of their hands and SAMSUNG blame tecworks. AGE OLD SCAM

LIES LIES LIES.

I paid $2500 for this phone with an additional $300 extended warrantee . The phone is still under manufacturer warrantee and tecworks wants $1050 to fix it .

THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS. Thanks, a lot TECWORKS!

I have now registered a complaint with the TIO ,ACCC and have contacted 2GB. Hopefully I can get the word out there so other people do not have to go through this SCAM!

Another one-star review for this dodgy operation. Took my phone in for a warranty repair, and they claimed my Samsung warranty was void due to "damage" — even though there’s no visible external damage at all. Total rort of a company. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid at all costs!

Scam artists who never fix your phone – I have had nothing but problems with my Samsung s22 ultra. Earlier this year, I had to take it to Tecworks with very standard issues that the s22 ultra has. Lo and behold, my… Read more

phone is displaying the usual bizarre behaviour again. I took it back to Tecworks and they will not repair their repair. They want me to pay. I knew deep down the first time that them not replacing the motherboard would create issues.

I suspect they don't fix the phone the first time around and just take Samsungs warranty money, just for the phone to continue to play up until out of warranty, so they can claim a second round of money (this time from the phone owner). Every time I have been there, there's people returning phones they have already "fixed". That should have been the first red flag. Upon doing research about Tecworks, I have come to realise that I am probably right on that suspicion. It is one hell of a rabbit hole.

I already told them to go F themsleves twice in their store. So for the third time, Tecworks, go [Content Removed] yourself! Bunch of scam artists!

Don't use Techworks – I would never use this company if I had the choice. My phone was sent to the Sydney Tecworks for screen replacement through my Telstra Upgrade and Protect. They sent the phone back with the broken screen about 6 days… Read more

later, stating the screen was unreplaceable. They also said there was a fault charging port and some cable fault crap. Plus the stylus pen was missing. Long story short is that I had to take it to another store in Brisbane, and they replaced the screen in 40min. They even told me the phone hadn't even been opened. Nothing wrong with it. Tecworks is just unprofessional, extremely amateur, unskilled and basically just a dishonest company. I think this is why they teamed up with Telstra. For f#ck sake. Never use this company.

terrible warranty repairs of Samsung mobile phone – It all started when I turned my S22 samsung on and it crashed to a black screen. 3G-5G reception. Using the Samsung members diagnostics, identified the fault as RX/TX as floor value which needed the motherboard replaced. Due to a number of personal crisis I was unable to return the phone for the second repair until the 26/9/23 which they received 3/10/23. After two weeks I had not received the phone back from repair. Initially I tried to contact them via their website and facebook, no reply. So I resurrected my ye olde land line and called tec works. They said that they had tried to call myself (13/10/23) on my mobile phone to get my pin number for the phone. Yes, you read that right, they tried to call myself on a broken phone that they had in their possession. Why did tecworks want my pin number? The phone was in maintenance mode, the fault had been diagnosed and the details given to tecworks by myself and Samsung and replacing the motherboard would wipe all my software and settings so it would have no pin. Did tecworks want my pin number to access my personal data? Too bad tecworks, you wiped all the good stuff last time when you replaced the battery. On top of that, tecworks said that it would be another week before my phone was scheduled for repair. Furious, I made a second call to Samsung and made a complaint against tecworks. Samsung responded by saying that they would escalate my complaint immediately to the highest level. The very next day, I receive an email from tecworks stating that my phone was being returned to myself and it has finally be repaired. Overall, tecworks had my phone for 24 days and could have been longer if Samsung had not intervened. They returned a faulty phone and wanted my pin number so what reason?
