Pretty dodgey

I purchased some bar stools from T&W and they looked great and we were very happy with them. Subsequently we purchased a large rug from their online store which was advertised to look like a deeply coloured mid century rug but when it arrived it looked nothing like the advertisement. They falsely advertised the item and then tried to make us pay for the shipping by saying that we "had changed our minds". The thing that really riles me however is that I have twice tried to post a review on their site about the rug not looking like the picture - to warn others because isn't that what reviews are for? T&W blatantly removed my review both times. The positive review I posted for the bar stools was published. Hmmm.. doesn't instill any confidence in their honesty and business practices. I don't understand why they don't just advertise it is as it looks?


Very poor customer service, call and check stock before paying for your item

Very slow contact, took our money, said it was ready for dispatch then 2 days later said it was no longer available, a week gone by and yet to receive refund.

Excellent Customer Service

I received a faulty item from Temple and Webster and sent them an email advising them. Their email response was lightning fast and they arranged for a replacement which arrived in 2 days. Unfortunately, the replacement was also faulty. T&W offered a full refund but I opted to try again. Once again the replacement arrived very fast. This time the item was perfect. T&W then arranged to collect the faulty items at no cost to me. I am completely satisfied with the service I received from T&W and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in future.

Never ordering from T&W again

Beware- T&W exclusively use Allied for Melbourne orders, they lost my order, 4 weeks after my order was ‘dispatched’ I’m still waiting for my items which are ‘held at depot’, a depot that is just 30 minutes away. Have lodged a series of enquires already with both T&C and Allied all of which were all useless. Still no explaination as to why my order never arrived or where it is, they just keep logging queries for someone to ‘look into it’. Before T&C reply with their generic response about Allied, they should listen to their customers, this is not a minority case. Terrible courier, no accountability, nothing but excuses that are not the consumers problem. Be prepared to wait and have a back up provider of goods should you need to claim a refund.

This shopping cart is flimsy! Not worth the money.

This shopping cart is flimsy & not worth the money. Not only did it not assemble well & had scratches on it, but on our first use with approximately 20kg of shopping in it, the bar with the bigger wheels on it cracked & bent, causing one of the wheels to collapse.

With credit to Temple & Webster however, they have been great with the response & refunding our money.


Beautiful office chair!

Very comfortable to sit in and is beautiful to look at. Fairly easy to assemble. It feels like a very good quality chair. Glad I bought it! Recommend this chair.

It’s ok.

This Lazy Susan is a lovely item, but the mechanism is stiff and “sticky” so it doesn’t rotate easily. I’m hoping that with wear it will loosen up. The website was easy to use.

Horrible service, misleading information

Temple and Webster advertise 'next business day dispatch', 2 weeks later and my item is still yet to be dispatched. In their own words: "Please be advised that "Leaves warehouse next business day" that you saw from the site means that *product* is ready for leaving the warehouse....." - there you have it, what you see on their website is a blatant lie and products are never actually dispatched on time, as advertised.

It takes 2-3 days to get a response from customer service who never follow up on their promise to get an update from the courier. I ended up calling the courier (Toll) myself and they weren't even able to give an update.

Finally, after 2 weeks of waiting for an update on my $600 chair, they have let me know that my product has been lost somewhere between their supplier and courier. I received a refund but lost 2 weeks of my time running around in circles.

I would not recommend this service to anyone and have found the lack of communication and misleading information extremely poor for an ecommerce company. They will say what they need to secure your purchase, but once they've got your money they simply don't care, nor are they actually able help you because they just operate as a middle man between their suppliers and couriers.

Go and buy a product somewhere else and save yourself the hassle.

good chairs

the chairs are lovely however the binding that keeps the top half and bottom half attached to the chair breaks off all the time so you need to adjust the chair after each time you sit.

Great company with excellent customer service!

I have bought quite a few things from Temple and Webster and a couple of times I have some issues with rugs I had purchased. The staff were so helpful and accommodating and arranged for the rugs to be picked up and refunded both the cost of the rug and the postage. They have an excellent range of products on their website and I would not hesitate to buy through them again or recommend them to other potential customers.

Shocking delivery times and customer service.

I ordered a Mattress on the 21st of January and have still not received it as of the 7th of February despite Temple and Webster stating it would be delivered on the 1st of February or before and allied express claiming it would be delivered on the 24th of February. Temple and Webster have done nothing to solve the problem other than "enquired" with the courier and claiming the item will be delivered the next day yet it still hasn't and acting like the issue is solved. I live in Kensington and the item is in West Melbourne warehouse.

I can only say I have bought twice and have been advised when parcel would be delivered and each time it was delivered spot on.I haven't ever had problems with delivery but sometimes the costs seem excessive.Hi Zephyr, we hope that our largely positive online reviews gives you the confidence to shop with us.
