As a diabetic suffering from diabetic neuropathy & does 6km walks 4 days a week, my podiatrist recommended for me a good walking shoes called Brooks GTS 25. fit, which is perfect for diabetics & it felt like my feet where surrounded by airbags & walking on clouds. I did a Google search for the best walking shoes & brooks was @ the of the list. I did thorough research & tried many brands recommend by podiatrist & google & after trying different brands I rated the following brands from best to least in comfort, cushioning & support when it comes to long distance walks. The Brooks GTS 25 (released late 2025) is a premier stability road shoe featuring increased nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning (+3mm) for a softer ride and updated GuideRails technology for knee-friendly support. Brooks addiction walker Extended Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB) technology for severe pronation control, BioMoGo DNA cushioning that adapts to your stride, and a slip-resistant outsole. The Brooks Ghost Max 3 is a max-cushion, neutral trainer designed for high-stack protection, stability, and smooth transitions. Key tech includes DNA Loft v3 nitrogen-infused foam, a GlideRoll Rocker for effortless toe-offs, and a wide base for inherent stability. The ASICS GEL-Nimbus 28 (released late 2025/early 2026) is a maximum-cushioning daily trainer featuring, on average, a 20-25g lighter design than its predecessor. Key technologies include FF BLAST™ PLUS eco-foam, embedded PureGEL™ in the heel, a redesigned & The Nike Vomero series utilizes advanced Nike Air Zoom technology combined with premium foam, specifically focusing on maximum cushioning and energy return for daily running and comfort. Forget about new balance & Hoka Bondi 9. Because I didn't find them as comfortable, supportive & well cushioned & smooth. The athletes foot also has a sale in June in ASICS, Nike & Adidas deduced to $200. Speak ️ to Emma & Bianca from the athletes foot , because they're very knowledgeable. Also I bought my brooks GTS 25 with 20% discount for $200. Awesome . Speak ️ to Aldrin from brooks ECQ, he'll look after you.
I went to purchase a pair of Hoka bondi 9 sneakers from The athletes foot in Launceston they didn't have the extra wide ones so had some sent from the Ballarat store when I received them I could clearly see they had been worn to the point they were creased, there was actually hair and lint inside one of the sneakers. I feel they took advantage of… Read more
this because it was a mail order and just gave me a pair of tried on worn sneakers which is left me feeling a bit grossed out I gave them the size required there was no need to send me anything but a pair of new and unworn sneakers they failed to do this it's quite disappointing really, for a pair of $300 sneakers
Zero Support from The Athlete’s Foot – Buy Direct Instead Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and accountability from The Athlete’s Foot. I purchased a pair of Asics Nimbus shoes for walking. Due to an autoimmune disease, I can no longer run, and on my best days, I can only manage 3–5km of walking before the… Read more
pain becomes too much. My osteopath specifically recommended Asics, but after only a month of light use, a hole developed in the heel of one shoe. The Contrast in Service: I initially contacted Asics directly. They were fantastic—sympathetic to my health situation, helpful over the phone, and quick to acknowledge that the shoes appeared faulty. However, because I bought them through a third party (The Athlete’s Foot), they legally had to refer me back to the retailer to process the claim. The Athlete’s Foot Experience: Dealing with The Athlete’s Foot has been a ghosting masterclass. It has been over 21 days since I started this process: • Initial Email: I received an automated response within 24 hours. • 5 Days Later: They requested photos of both shoes, a description of the fault, the surfaces I walk on, and my weekly mileage. I provided all of this immediately. • The Silence: Since sending those details, I have sent multiple follow-up emails asking if they need more information or if there is an update. I have received zero assistance and zero replies to my last three inquiries. It is incredibly frustrating to be left with a faulty product and no communication, especially when the manufacturer has already expressed a willingness to help if I had only bought through them. The Lesson: Do not buy from The Athlete’s Foot online. If anything goes wrong, you will be stuck in a customer service vacuum. Buy direct from Asics. Their team actually cares about their customers and stands by their product. Stay away from this middleman; they are happy to take your money but won't be there when a product fails.

Asics Gel-Kayano 31 very squeaky. Video attached. I would not buy the ASICS Gel-Kayano 32 based on the feedback I recieved from The Athletes Foot and ASICS. I wasn't after anything free yet, thats the dopey response I received. Its not their fault but mine. They squeak everywhere - even on the accelerator and brake pedal in the car. I've… Read more
historically bought Kayano's every year and this has never happened before. I put up with it but now I feel like I'm walking on egg shells. I need to take shoes off every time I go to the office or return home.

I was in the market for some safety footwear for work. I visited the Northlakes athletes foot in Queensland. I was acknowledged by Sophie as soon as I walked into the store which was a pleasant experience considering other footwear retailers that I had visited clearly had no regard for customer service. Sophie’s customer service was exceptional as… Read more
she listened and confirmed the type of footwear I was after and recommended a work boot suitable for my long periods of time on my feet, and then proceeded to get me to try on two different sizes to see which one was more comfortable and after walking inside the store I selected the type of boot which I believe will alleviate the constant sore feet. Sophie‘s SERVICE was friendly and professional and she should be acknowledged for her patience considering she didn’t make me feel like I had to make a rushed decision.
STILL waiting for my shoes after ordering them 9 days ago!! They were coming from a store less than 2 hours away and somehow are now sitting in West Sydney! The Athlete's Foot need to review their shipping partner if these are the types of delays customers need to face! I specifically ordered these shoes from TAF as I expected to receive them in a timely manner. Clearly not the case.
I took my elderly parents to your Karrinyup Branch today. My Father (92yrs old) needed a pair of Sneakers with good support and comfort (he is semi wheel chair bound) so this in its self is a challenge, then to find foot wear and try them out adds to the event. My parents and myself were extremely impressed and appreciated the way Micheal helped… Read more
and guided us through the process of choosing the right footwear. It took quite some time, Micheal was extremely patient and understanding and we would like to express our appreciation, Thank You Michael for your services. PS Dad loves the Brooks they are perfect
Athletes Foot: Ordered sneakers online, paid and organised click and collect. Received email to collect instore - arrived - then told actually out of stock. No notification, and had to get refund. sorted, but won’t be shopping anymore with Athletes Foot. Twice now it has been an issue - and one I paid for each time up front, then had to organise a refund. Their quality of customer care/ for orders online ( quality of product/ communication/ packing) , and systems they use to organise product clearly not at same level as competitors. Their staff instore are having to deal with issues and also seem very understaffed.
Bought brand new shoes. They were damaged. Phoned Athletes Foot about this. They said send in 15 images of all over both shoes. Got back to me 1 week later to say, ''we don't believe the shoes were damaged when we sold them'' Okay? How did the damage happen. They actually tried to tell me it was Postal Damage, seriously, I am not making that up!… Read more
Can you believe they said that! You can see the obvious damage on the right shoes toe. The leather was cut to long and has caused this creasing damage marks from the factory. It is very obvious. images attached. They know they are deliberately lying. These shoe were factory damaged shoes. They were made badly. They are 2nd quality, and should have been binned. But Athletes Foot online store are selling them as 1st quality item, absolutely shameless company standards at work right here. This SHAM of a online company is fraudulent and should be well avoided by all people who want BRAND NEW SHOES. Not 2nds. They will not take them back. They will not refund my money. So all their stuff saying we give refunds etc, is absolute lies. Do NOT trust this company. Do not buy from them. I just want to add, they are now offering me 20% refund on my $170 shoes if I DELETE this review. Anyway, just as well I bought them through my online PayPal account. PayPal issued me a FULL refund within a couple of days after I put in my complaint. Thank you PayPal for your great work. Try another shoe shop but definately stay away from this shonky online business.

No updates, no response, no product. No refund??? When every other order I've done with competitors has been overnight or 1-2 days. Literally no excuse to go with this shop if you can avoid it. I don't necessarily expect overnight shipping.… Read more
However their tracking shows that they ordered shipping with auspost, then never progressed it. It's been nearly a month and roughly 15 business days.

to purchase from your email offer today are not available in that store. I was directed to a competitor. There are about five sports shoe stores on that level. At a previous purchase I did not have a great experience either, so I will never set foot in this store or any other Athlete's Foot stores. I walked out not purchasing anything.
Follow-up · No response from Athletes. Advertised product were repeatedly not available in that store. Staff referred me to competitor.

orthotics inserted. However it seems this shoe may not be suitable for orthotics as stated in Athletes Foot response - see copy of part of their email below. Service from Athletes foot where purchased Hokas online was very disappointing.
This is Athlete which indicates that less than 8 months part time wear with orthotics.
Response from Athletes foot … also note Hoka directly would not review their product as I purchased from Athlete foot.
“ After a thorough assessment of the information provided, it is our belief that the issue experienced is not a result of the product being defective. Rather, a result of the natural breakdown of materials over time, which is consistent with the age and wear of the product. This can be determined as the tread is well-worn. As for the heel collar wearing through, this can be from the orthotic raising the foot/heel in that area, which can cause friction to occur, and then a hole can appear.”
Very disappointing such poor quality and staff did not alert me that orthotics could cause this.
Follow-up · I need a shoe that is suited to orthotic wear. The Hoka Bondi let me down there very poor wear at back heel area. The Athletes foot store fitting process put me in a shoe not appropriate for orthotics. I now have purchased the Brooks Ghost Max which are fitting well and bonus cheaper price than the Hoka shoe. I also have started mixing it up… Read more

I was at the Capalaba Park store today 18/3/26 and was attended to by your staff member Adrian The service from this young man was delightful and a wonderful experience Very respectful and polite I am just letting you know I had a very positive visit to your Capalaba park store I would like this review sent to the relevant store Kind regards Sandie Garside Show details
I have very painful arthritic feet. I bought a pair of Hokas, one of the styles recommended by the digital scanner. The staff were great at the Loganholme store. Very helpful and friendly. I bought another pair online which weren't quite right. Returns process was great. Online chat customer care was great. Went into store for the next pair. Thank you Athletes Foot. I was quite despairing before I shopped with you!! Show details
Have been shopping at Athlete's Foot Marion for a while now. Customer service has always been excellent. This time around, Taanish could not have been more helpful. Won't be buying trainers anywhere else.

Customer service is appalling. Then they ask for feedback but moderate your review when constructive feedback relates to their service and support. Don't buy off this online store Show details
Went into Athlete's foot Elizabeth Street 3 weeks ago, and bought 3 pairs of shoes after we did the foot scan. compared to the others i was trying so I went with those.
They were a bit tight on the sides but I didn't question it as they were new and we did a scan so assumed they would need to be worn in, i even threw away the box and receipt as i trusted that they were fine. Although we did join as members.
since using them a bit, I've started to get pains through my foot and calf from my toes being squished together. I've tried contacting athlete's foot on instagram few times as I didn't want to have to leave a review and have had no response.
I just wanted to know why I was recommended shoes that are too narrow for me, when I could have been given the wide versions.
As of my experience so far, I'd advise against doing the for scan as it seems to be a lure for abusing customer trust!
I visited The Athlete’s Foot at Carousel in Cannington and waited for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Two customers who arrived after me were served before I was. There appeared to be no system in place to manage customers in an orderly way. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Show details

The on-floor sales staff lied to me about the price of shoes, said it was $260 But when u go to pay its $270, this is misleading conduct and is a breech of consumer law. Also advertised discounts and sales, often do not apply, which is also misleading. The idea is too get you into the shop, looking for the non existent bargain. Discounts only… Read more
apply to the stock that do not sell, as they are not suitable. Note this review is too warn others, of the dirty tactics used, and loss of sales will make the sneaky $10 extra charge a expensive mistake.
Tried to return faulty shoes, told I couldn't get the same shoe even though I was very happy with the fit. They made me swap to a pair that does not fit my feet, too wide and I'm not allowed to return or swap them. Shocking service. If a product is faulty you are entitled to repair, refund or replacement. $270 pair of shoes I can't wear.
Purchased a new pair of shoes for $240 from The Athlete’s Foot because no nearby store stocked the 2E sizing I needed. I ordered on Monday to ensure they’d arrive in time for my weekend runs. The package arrived quickly on Wednesday — I was excited, but that excitement didn’t last. I opened the box to find used shoes inside. There were scuff… Read more
marks on the outside, and the insoles had clear, dirty toe and foot imprints. Gobsmacked. Not good enough.
Now I have to either take them to a store or post them back for a refund, and I won’t have new shoes for my weekend runs because a replacement can’t reach me until next week. The Athlete’s Foot really needs to improve its quality assurance process, this should never happen.
Needless to say, I’ll be buying directly from New Balance next time, not TAF.

Customer Service is Hilariously BAD... As a customer who has very Large feet, Size 15 (4E) width. I ordered 2 pairs of Brooks Beast. and cannot believe that as a customer who has no choice but to purchase these online(due to the large size) that a clear mistake was bounced to me to resolve. The company could at least have organised the correct pair to my nearest store for exchange.
BASICALLY, THEY HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THERE OWN MISTAKES. IF YOU HAD VERY LARGE FEET THEY COULD NOT SEE THE "WOOD THROUGH THE TREES", THAT IT IS EXCETIONALLY HARD TO SOURCE THESE SHOES.
NOT A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF AUSTRALIAN COMMERCIAL ACUMEN.

Hi Bill, I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. I understand that with such a large and wide size, finding the right fit in stores can be difficult, and this occurrence has been frustrating. I will outline some solutions below to help have this resolved for you as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to facilitate inter-store transfers due to our policies and processes in place. However, we offer a Store to Door Service, which allows you to place an order in-store for a product, colour, or size that is not available on the day, and have it delivered directly to your home. You are more than welcome to visit us in-store at any The Athlete's Foot stores local to you to refund/exchange the incorrect size you have received, and our in-store team will be able to help assist with placing a Store to Door order for you. Otherwise, if you can't make it in-store,we can organise a free returns label so you can send these back for a full refund. Simply head to our Online Return Portal, enter your order number and email address, and select ‘DISPATCH ERROR’ as the reason for return against the incorrect item. The portal will then prompt you to provide further information and attach some pictures – please attach clear images of the tongue/tag of the item you’ve received (showing the size and style code), the label on the side of the shoebox (showing the size and style code) and the invoice you have received. Once we receive this request, this will be reviewed, and the next steps will be outlined via email. While we don’t offer direct postal exchanges, we’ll refund your original payment once we receive the return. You can place a new order anytime, as it won’t affect your return.
Dont bother. Tried to order a product with click and collect, the site wouldn't allow it. Called the main number to Athletes Foot, they confirmed theres a problem with online ordering. They provided me a number to Nowra's store however when you ring it gives you an error message then hangs up. Solution - dont buy from Athletes Foot. Zero competence or customer service, you simply wasted my time Show details
Bought a pair of Asics worn them no more than 30 times i would say 20 to be more precise, the heal has got a hole and they are saying "sorry that's your fault, wear and tear.... WHAT! Absolutely disgusting and I work for a sporting store and know that Asics are very good at replacing faulty shoes! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE
Be careful if you purchase item and it needs to be returned for a refund. I have had to chase CONTINUOUSLY for a refund despite item being shown as returned for now over a week. Very annoying that I still don't have a refund despite item being sent back within 2 days of receiving the order as sizing was too small. Dubious to purchase from them again. BUYER BEWARE
Ordered 6 days ago. No communication from the company. Just chatted online with them, and my order can't be filled. No care factor from customer service, but just that your money will be returned. So now I have to go in store and pay full price. It's just annoying having to spend the extra time and money to go and buy a pair that I thought was already sorted. I thought a bigger company would have been more professional and switched on. I went into a Gold Coast store as it had the shoes that I wanted at a reasonable price. I tried on the shoes (next model up) and they were comfortable. was told to order them as fast as possible. I ordered the pair whilst I was in the store. Order confirmed by email. After a week I had not received my shoes nor had I received an email that the delivery process had begun. I was told that the order was cancelled and they had given me a refund back to my card. I was shocked as I had not received any notification that the shoes were no longer available. I was really upset as I could have got the same shoe from another provider for approx. the same price. I have missed out on that ability due to the lack of communication by the company. If the shoes were not available why did it accept my order? Not impressed.
I went into the store in Victoria Gardens shopping centre. I was helped by Brook. She was unbelievably knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I was actually surprised to learn that it was possible to have such good service at a shoe store.
