1 Sue M.  · Not many flies flew in, also it probably attracts flies into your property
1 Carly  · Doesn't work – I have bought 2 now. Does not work at all. Flies won't go near it. How are they selling this and making profits
1 Taldad  · Hopeless – Been outside for a week only thing it trapped was a cockroach wast of my time and money.
1 Tammy G  · Useless – Don’t waste $11. This is useless. Flies show no interest in it. I want my money back.
1 Jason  · Didn’t catch 1 fly in two weeks – Rubbish doesn’t work, purchased , followed instructions caught nothing in over two weeks
1 Darren L.  · Absolute rubbish – Useless and a waste of money do not buy this product IT DOES NOT CATCH ANYTHING

We have the yellow lidded one from Bunnings and it’s caught a heap of flies over the past few days near the chicken yard. Happy with that. Easy to set up. Just added a stronger wire to hang it up as it is out in the weather. Show details

Follow-up  · Still going strong and now onto numbers 2 & 3 after the first one was full within a week. Will continue with this brand due to efficiency and price point.

This trap is very flimsy and poorly made. The flies get out really easily and it doesn't attract them well. After 2 days we have 10 flies in an area overrun with flies. Don't waste your money Show details

Works but Absolutely disgusting smell – It took a good week for the flies to start accumulating in the fly traps and a few days afterwards I noticed an absolutely disgusting smell. I thought something had died under our deck then I realized it was the fly traps. The sheer stench of death (rotting flies) appears to attract flies in their droves and if the manufacturers think I’m going… Read more

to reuse their plastic bottle of rotting flies and refill with new formula then they are sadly mistaken. I didn’t actually realize until I’d bought the product that it was only for use outside, now I know why the further away from my house the better when it comes to the smell. As for the point of the product, I really don’t know as there will always be heaps of flies outside and there’s no way I want this fly trap anywhere near my home or outdoor areas. Can’t wait to get rid of this disgusting science experiment gone wrong

The best fly trap we have used – Within an hour of placing the fly trap outside we noticed flies inside the bottle and within a day there was a mass of dead flies and many others trapped inside, unable to get out. By far the best one we have bought, very happy Show details

Excellent Product – Currently holidaying in the Northern Territory and this product has been a god send. We hang if from our Caravan Awning and after it activated within a couple of days the flies have started heading to it straight away. We already have dozens in int. Its a shame you can't refill them. As I will now need to keep a stock of them for the rest of our travels around australia. Show details

The indoor ones are amazing – Fruit fly hell at our place for 2 years until we discovered The Buzz Kitchen Fruit fly traps. These are little hollow balls. 2 to a box, $11 aud and well worth it. I’d given up trying to eradicate the little buggers, but purchased these traps on a whim. What a wonderful surprise to find zero flies the very next day! These traps are a winner, and many other people must agree because they fly off the supermarket shelves the day they are restocked. Show details

Smells a bit but has worked fabulously! – We had to give the product a few days to actually attract the flies, which were almost 'swarming' in the cooler areas around our home's exit doors, but this product has worked!! It's odour is unpleasant but we have found strategic places for the traps so that we minimise having to smell this. Show details

Worst purchase ever – Absolute crap, I've had 3, the cord (that you hang them with) breaks with UV light exposure and all the dead flys and liquid have to be cleaned up! dont buy this product

Works alright but flies can get out – It states on the bottle “ flies get in and can’t get out” but I’ve sat and watched multiple flies escape after they’ve flown into the trap. Show details

Did not do what it said – Bought two of these last Thursday and we have a total of 5 flies in the two traps. However we have 100s of flies inside and in our outdoor area. Can I claim for a refund? Show details

Wow. Flys not interested at all – I watch flies fly around the thing. Not at all interested and don't fly inside. Waste of 11 dollars. Opened filled with 300ml water...nothing...don't recommend Show details

Surprisingly Great – We followed the instructions and hung two up on our pool fence. We have a small 18sq meter yard and the two small dogs have it as there play and poo area. We pick up the poo every day but the flys have been voluminous. These traps worked a treat when the rain went away and the sun came out, I hang them in two different places and the amount of fly's in them is staggering.

Fricking Gross but Works – I would highly recommend this product, but !!!! HIGHLY recommend putting Vicks up your nose before emptying the bottle . Decorating the bottle before use will help disguise all the dead flies . Show details

Flies line up to get in. Design could be improved – Design could be improved. Non-disposable, needs a cap to stop water diluting bait in a downpour. Label needs clear panel to see bait vol/no. of flies in the bottle. Mine was half full within 10 days!! Great customer service, Maxine Warren! Show details

Almost didn't buy the cheaper one! – I had tried to make home made traps but they didn't catch a single fly (despite the incredibly AMAZING YouTube video claims!) I stood in bunnings with this in one hand and the more expensive one in the other. Decided to go against my nature and get the cheaper one (but I bought 4 to somehow validate my decision!). Within one hour they had about… Read more

6-8 flys in them. 2 weeks later, each bottle is 1/2 full of dead flys, and they're still coming! I can't believe how many flys there are in my yard!

They do stink like a rotting animal, but the joy of not feeling flys land on every inch of bare skin, is SO worth it!

They have just reached the maggot stage, so I think it's time to empty them and start again...not looking forward to opening them though!

Does it or doesn’t it? – On the bottle the measurement of water shows 600 mls., on the refill pack the measurement shows only 300 mls. Maybe this is why some people didn’t have much success when first using the product. 300 mls., is the correct measurement to use. See photo. It does state ‘made in China’.

No luck catching flies for me – Tried this as was cheaper than the one we usually have but after being up for 3 weeks has not caught one fly. Will leave it out a bit longer and see if the flies decide to come. Show details

Unbelievable results – My son recommended these traps and I’m glad he did. I have never seen a product work this well. Flies literally flock to them. We can now eat outside without being annoyed by nuisance flies. Best thing ever!! Show details

Excellent product, highly recommended! – I bought this on a recommendation from a friend who has been using these for several years. I set this up and within two weeks, the trap has worked a treat. Easy to use and set up, I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to spend time outdoors this summer and not deal with the issue of flies. Show details

Watch Out For Maggots – Been using these for some time. Always been effective indoors before now. However, noticed during this heat they stink and if you check the lids the flies, before they die, lay eggs and those eggs hatch into maggots and they escape through the lid!!!!!!!! Infestation alert! Show details
