Delivery took 23 days, and only after I had to spend time making more than 10 calls to customer support. Each time, I was given a different explanation for the delay, which was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. This issue has dragged on for more than three years, including involvement with Consumer and Business Services, yet the company still refuses to resolve it properly.

One of the most frustrating consumer experiences I’ve had. I would strongly caution others before purchasing from this business.

I haven't received my product yet but the communication has been great! From the moment we walked into the warehouse in Broadmeadows. Paid in full and up front for a bed. Received bed without bed legs. Was more or less accused of lying about not receiving bed legs; they told me they had video evidence of my bed legs being packed & sent to me. When I requested a copy of the supposed video, they refused, citing privacy reasons. They then reluctantly confirmed, they would order… Read more

my bed legs from Vietnam but would take up to 12 weeks to arrive. I requested that in the meantime, they at least send me the bed legs from their showroom bed so that I can actually sleep on my brand new bed - which I had paid in full for. They (again) reluctantly agreed and sent me the showroom bed legs. I didn't hear from them until 16 weeks later whereupon they sent me the bed legs that should have arrived with my order in the first place. During this time, I had developed a health condition that required a procedure. I advised them that I would be in hospital and then recovering so will send them back the showroom bed legs at the *end* of September (this month) once I am physically able to change the bed legs over. They have since been stalking me by phone to find out whether or not I will be posting them back the bed legs from the showroom bed under threat of removing my rightful warranty altogether even though they were the ones that never sent me my bed legs in the first place.

The worst company I have had the displeasure of dealing with. I urge anyone considering purchasing from this company to do so cautiously, because if anything goes wrong, they will treat you like a thief, even when you have paid up front.

The bed itself is lovely to look at, but the base has a slight rise in the middle where - the notorious bed legs sit. So there is a hump in my bed. After all that, I can't even sleep in it anyway. It is an easy fix that I can sort out myself, but after spending all that money, you'd think that at least the product is up to standard!

I will be lodging a complaint with the ACCC.

We had excellent experience with The Furniture People right from visiting the store to placing the order. Their furniture is sturdy and of good quality. Looking forward to the delivery in coming weeks. Show reply

shipping, and always try to get the best delivery and furniture prices. I have gotten an armchair on sale for $599 and found the exact same chair for $1500 on another website! That’s not to mention how bloody amazing the furniture pieces are themselves, both in looks and quality! I not only buy from this company because I love their furniture, but the support from checkout to delivery is second to none. I’m three arm chairs, two ottomans, 1 desk, 2 bookcases deep so far, and will continue buy from them in the future!

Customer service is excellent.I would love to mention that Maggie was professional and helpful in choosing the product. I do wish more of the advertised items were available to view on-site, as it would make choosing much easier. Show reply
