Koala Mattress Queen

Bought the Koala Luxe Mattress in March 2026 for a little over $2,000. Whilst the mattress is very comfortable, it is nigh well impossible for a single person to change sheets on it, due to the weight of the mattress (44 kgs) and the fact that they have skimped on attaching handles to the side of the mattress. Even a $300 mattress from Ikea has… Read more

side handles to help lift it up. I raised this issue with Koala and was told by [Name Removed] from their customer service team that it was my fault for not checking whether there were handles on the sides. I don't understand how the design of the Luxe Mattress meets Australian requirements. These mandate that "safe design" principles should be used when designing products. There has certainly been no risk assessment regarding the potential for injury to a consumer when trying to perform a simple task like changing a sheet.

The best sleep every night – The Koaka mattress is the 3rd mattress I have purchased in 5 years. I have osteoporosis and have been searching for a mattress that gives me support but not so firm it makes for a night of restless sleep and pain. My Koala mattress is absolutely… Read more

amazing, I sleep soundly and have no aches, waking in the morning rested and ready to go. It is also a light in weight mattress which makes it so easy to make, such a change to a heavy hard to move one. I recommend a Koala to anyone that wants a eco friendly, economical, supportive and comfortable mattress. My Koala has given me a spring in my step every morning after a wonderful sleep. Do yourself a favour and try one!

Year and a half on… – Year and a half in.. still amazing. The reduction in feeling each other moving in the night has been great. We both move like a tornado destroying a city while we sleep and used to wake each other up. Of course you can still feel things but it is… Read more

significantly reduced. The comfort levels are great too. We got a medium to firm. We have it on medium and suits us both perfectly. We had previously slept on a firm in an air B&B apartment. I liked it and husband did not. Medium is great for both of us.

We’ve had an incredibly poor experience with Koala’s delivery and customer service. Our mattress was scheduled for delivery between Thursday and Friday — with an overly broad delivery window of 8am to 6pm on either day. By late Friday, the tracking hadn’t updated and the item still hadn’t been picked up. We had to contact Koala ourselves — only… Read more

then were we told it wouldn’t arrive on Friday and would be delivered on Saturday instead. No communication, no apology.

On Saturday, we monitored the courier tracking all day. When it finally showed as “on the delivery vehicle,” we watched the driver pass right by our address without attempting delivery — then spend hours driving around Canberra before returning to the depot.

By Saturday evening, we still have no mattress, no delivery, and no update from Koala — and our emails remain unanswered. We had organised our schedule based on the timeframe they provided, which has now caused us considerable inconvenience.

For a premium-priced product, the service has been nothing short of appalling — zero communication, poor logistics, and no accountability. We would not recommend ordering from Koala based on this experience.

What more needs to be said? – I used to have a SD mattress, but needed two in a hurry with a job change and moving. I got the Queen middle of the road range, not super luxury, but it is better than the last mattress and a fraction of the price. Very happy with it, counting zzz’s over the moon! Special mention for the second mattress I bought though - the basic, best value… Read more

model in a double. I’ve had three couples come to stay since moving and they have all raved about the spare bed. Never has anyone praised any spare bed I’ve had in the past - even the basic model is THAT good!

For the price of my old mattress I got two and both are outstanding.

And delivery was ridiculously quick. And they kept sending me updates about where my new mattresses were along the road - like they were delivering a kidney to be transplanted rather than a mattress or two for a midnight flit. They arrived the next day and I ordered at 9pm the previous night.

Amazing service. Amazing mattresses.

The best mattress I've ever had. Easily – I honestly love getting into bed on my Koala Mattress - every night I have that big "aaaahhhh" moment when I initially get in. It's my favourite time of day! I got my mattress when it first came out in 2021 after a few years on an Ikea mattress and waking up from hip and back soreness constantly. So far we've had the mattress for over 2 years,… Read more

and it has kept its sleep profile perfectly. No changes in firmness, shape, no dips or sags - still feels fresh as ever.

That hip and back soreness I lived life with has now completely gone! There's been no change in lifestyle apart from the mattress we use - and the Koala Mattress has absolutely done the trick.

Oh - another benefit, it really does have great anti-sleep disturbance qualities to it (as in, when your partner moves around, you can't feel it). As I wake up earlier than my partner to get ready for work, this is important so I don't wake her up - and it works great!

Highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable (but great quality) sleep. All mattresses aren't built the same - and the Koala Mattress has eased muscle pain, provided amazing quality sleep, and has still fit our budget.

We've had our Koala Mattress for a few years now and still love it. We tried a few different brands before Koala and they seemed to sag or lose support after a year or two. The Koala mattress does feel quite firm at first but once you are used to it, you'll never go back to another mattress. No more sore hips, having to toss and turn to get comfy.… Read more

No more waking up achey. Plus even though ours is few years old, there's no saggy spots at all! If you're considering getting a Koala mattress I highly recommend you go for it. I hope you'll love yours as much as we love ours!

Have a bad back so this is fantastic, was little firm but I use a matress topper on it and it perfect .

It’s extremely comfortable. I don’t wake up with sore back or hips. Supports me to n all the right places. Thank your for your prompt delivery and easy unpacking. Show details

Koala Mattress sinking after only 4 years. 10 year warranty basically is a joke. I was given the run around for weeks even after sending multiple photos to show the issue, Koala just refused to replace or refund. There is basically no warranty.

This mattress is incredibly firm. I wake up multiple times throughout the night in pain. It feels so hard to lay on. Not comfortable at all. Very disappointed Show details

Not a great mattress to be honest. Within only a few months I noticed indents where I sleep and that's someone who weigh's 60kg and moves around a lot - side, back, side, front, edge, middle. When you purchase your mattress they offer a reward for your review etc, so likely why there are so many positive reviews. Writing to them about the indents… Read more

you'll get a clearly predrafted letter stating that if the dents are less than 2.5cm then that's just normal for mattresses and to be expected.

This mattress stinks. The first night it stank so bad it kept both me and my partner up all night. A week from purchase and I still walk into my bedroom to the mattress' chemically smell, all day every day. The first thing I smell when I settle in bed, is the smell of the mattress. With some people reporting no smell at all, I'm surprised at the… Read more

inconsistency of the smell some people seem to get with receiving extra stinky mattresses. First impressions count.

I am a forever customer! I sleep so much better. My back is better. I wake up feeling rested and energetic. Just a 10/10 would recommend to a friend! Love Koala! Show details

This is a great quality mattress. I love that you can’t feel your partner moving! Found it a bit firmer than I was expecting, but now have added the soft Koala topper & it’s perfect. Show details
