Be Warned....... This is an A grade scam – I purchased a bed for my three granddaughter on the 5th March. We haven’t received any communication from the owner of the business. She doesn’t reply to emails, yet still posts daily on her instagram page. She has deactivated messages on her instagram. I’ve spent countless hours trying to communicate with this company, all to no avail. Please save yourself the grief, not to mention money.

Stay Away From "The Rattan Collective " - Fraudulant Business – My husband and I purchased our daughters bed from the rattan collective website back in March 2019. Pre ordered required us to pay in full via credit card. We received an order number (via email) but no invoice despite numerous requests. advised the invoice was in my spam or junk mail, not true. An invoice was never generated. After one email (requesting the invoice) all communication went cold. Our goods never arrived and each time we'd request an ETA we'd get an auto email reply. That's when we knew we'd been scammed. We contacted consumer affairs, scam watch, AFP, Instagram, ATO and our bank. We've been fortunate enough to get our money paid back from the bank however no other agency could help because they cannot effectively communicate with this business, only send email. A search of the business reveals their ABN but to HUB 9 PTY LTD and not registered to pay tax (we paid tax on our goods purchased) They have 35k followers on Instagram but you cannot comment on their posts. Please save yourself and don't by anything from them.

to be the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life. Fortunately, I paid via Zip Pay so I do have Buyer Protection. They are in the middle of investigating my dispute claim. Fingers crossed I get my money back!

Do not buy from these people – Beyond dissatisfied. Oct 2018 I paid $3010 for 3 children's beds. Promised to be here . After receiving money I have had any generic emails sent back . Its june 2018. No beds. No response. I now am going thru consumer protection and the bank for fraud. They have no contact number. DON'T BUY anything from these people.

unable to assemble the cot as per the instructions. I notified the company of this via email and they called me to ask for more details and asked me to email them pics of the pieces received which I did. This was in early Feb and i am yet to receive any response back despite numerous follow up emails. Luckily my husband was able to make some adjustments and we can use the cot without issue but that is beside the point. It's disappointing as they have some beautiful items but i will be sourcing my rattan pieces elsewhere in the future and would advise anyone thinking of buying from this company to do the same.

I sent another email threatening to go to the media and then the funds arrived back in my account 2 days later but to date I have not had a single response from the company from September 2018 to March 2019. Leaving me heavily pregnant with no bassinet and $574 outlayed for something I never saw. Absolute con artist.

As I eventually got my order and it appears to be reasonable quality I can’t really say this business is a scam but there’s something not right about the way this business is run.

many unreplied emails later and requests for refund or at least some kind of response, and it's February 2019 and my credit card provider has accepted a transaction dispute, and I got my money back. But it is a long process. This company is a complete fraud. I know of 30+ other women who have been equally defrauded. The authorities are not interested in helping, so do yourself a favour and stay away.

in why did I care my goods had not arrived! She said she has dealt with fair trade and other authorities “many times” (surely this is a red flag!) and that she’s doing nothing wrong by not supplying the goods. She also said she gets heaps of emails so doesn’t respond to many (her bad business management is not really my problem!) I made it clear that without an immediate refund I would take action and surprisingly the refund came through. Very sad I had to threaten action to get a response.

later, I received the beds and was disappointed to find that it is too tight to fit our standard size mattresses into the beds. Placing sheets & blankets on is extremely difficult and requires me to lift out the mattresses on each corner and is truly so much hard work! **UPDATE** We noticed what looked like little piles of sawdust on my sons quilt cover (he has the Byron bed) and on closer inspection, we noticed lots of little holes. frustrating especially when you see the item you paid for a year ago plastered all over their Instagram page. I think some stores stock their stuff- would definitely recommend buying or ordering through them instead of ordering directly from Rattan as you’ll probably get better service and an actual product at the end of it all.

correspondence has ceased. They will not return our email and have gone silent.

As my better half made the purchase and told me of the issues after the fact i looked in to the company a bit more. There is no phone number which is a red flag, i also notice on there instagram account they have turned of the ability to leave comments as i am sure by reading the reviews here there would be a lot of negativity.

HUB 9 PTY LTD (ABN 52 118 580 322) is the company with The Rattan Collective trading under it. What is also interesting is that HUB 9 is NOT registered for GST though we were charged GST. On the surface this may point to other handed activities which i am sure the ATO may be interested in looking in to.

We have lodged a Fair Trading incident which is being investigated and from what i understand, this company is not a stranger to this sort of activity. We have also actioned a charge back with our bank to reverse the transactions.

It is unfortunate that Australian businesses in this day in age choose to act unethically and underhanded to defraud the Australian consumer.

I hope they get what they deserve.

7 months late and I'm still waiting for my bed – Communication from TRC is appalling, very rarely respond to queries and if they do it is generic responses. I'm on the phone to consumer affairs and will be asking for a refund. I can't believe they advertise all over social media but are unable to fulfill any of their orders on time. I would recommend that anyone DO NOT PURCHASE from this company. 0 out of 5 stars!!!

Received faulty bassinet and communication ceased – Communication is prompt until there is a problem. I purchased a bassinet and received it when expected, however when realising there was an issue with wheels and emailing the company II received the standard automated email. 4 months later no contact and unanswered emails. Not great for a $550 bassinet.

Not happy!!! – Yes I ordered a $1699 bed in September due for delivery in November and still waiting. Fortunately I have had responses to my emails, even if they are pathetic excuses. Giving them to end of January before I take them to office of fair trading. Do not use this company if furniture not already in stock!! I was offered a choice of 2 other beds which are in stock but desperately want the bed I actually ordered. Grrrrrrrr!!!!
