I am still trying to get my money back. After getting onto manager Krissy, she told me that yes they had approved my refund. I needed to sent back the package. I sent it with tracking .. two weeks and I have heard nothing, numerous phone calls unanswered. I checked at my P.O. to be told it was still waiting to be picked up at their end .. TWO… Read more
weeks after it was delivered to their P.O. box, nearing the time to be returned to me! To say I am disgusted would put it mildly. I can not get through to them .. no answer to phone calls or emails. I will not let it end there. Next option is to go personally and demand a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THE RESORT (RORT) CLUB!!!! To be continued ...
This Club needs to be avoided, don't give them the time of day. After being bullied into paying for the Prestige Club, I realised it is not suitable for me. I have made 8 phone calls (we will ring U by close of business) and 2 emails .. all no response. Finally spoke to supervisor. I asked for refund, she has to take it to the owner. Says she will ring me after that, we will see hey. Has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Show details
We bought our first subscription over 20 years ago. In January this year, we received another call and made the mistake of accepting their offer. We outlaid $495.00 to "upgrade our plan". We asked for a refund and on 20th January received an email… Read more
saying the refund request had been granted. Almost two months later, we still have not received the money. Their delay excuses - "We have to return the package we sent you" ... We did NOT receive any package! "We don't generate the refund. We do not generate the refund ourselves. We use another company to do that." ... Meanwhile we wait. EVEN OF YOU GET ONE REASONABLE DEAL OUT OF THIS COMPANY, IT IS NOT WORTH THE LONG-TERM DISTRESS THAT THE RESORT CLUB WILL CAUSE YOU.
Follow-up · We cancelled within the 10 day cooling off period so received nothing from them. We still have not received our refund almost 3 months after receiving an email from them confirming the refund. If there was a rating less than 1 star I would give it.
3 months down the track we had still not received our refund. So I started a case through QCAT.… Read more

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! If I could give Zero ☆ I would. I've been a Resort Club Member for almost 15 years. In the beginning you'd at least get free nights vouchers and other proper perks that you could actually use. Not Now! Virtually useless! I have almost $35000 points accumulated and I still can Not get a free night! Nor can I get a decent… Read more
deal. I'm supposedly in the so-called "Prestige Club" pfft what a Joke! I email and call and I am treated with distain and rudeness unless I am willing to hand over even more $ cash. I feel rorted and scammed and totally disillusioned. I can get better deals elsewhere. Save yourself from the angst! Do Not be st>pid like me! Extremely Poor Product. Abhorrent, Disgusting Service.

Been with this company for more than 15 years. Only once very early on did I get to use it. Even then I paid about $100 a night on top of the "member discount" belonging to the club gave me - bear in mind this was 2005 maybe so motel accom was a… Read more
lot cheaper then. Have been convinced to upgrade twice since then (really, how dumb am I !!!!) and just recently told I had over $10,000 credit. So today I tried to book two nights in Brisbane in December. Out of pocket was $599, I didnt think to ask how much would come off my card. I looked up the hotel offered and could book it myself for $565. Just a big [Content Removed] scam. I'm so cross with myself for falling for their sales pitch yet again.
Follow-up · No idea how they calculate credit amount - just make it sound like they are giving you great rewards to pay more and stay on. More hotels, all over and lots of access whenever I wanted to go away and extra credits added to my account to use. The $100 (a guess/remember) was my "out of pocket" payment to stay at the motel. I have had no contact with The Rewards Club since posting this review.

The Resort Club refunded my membership upon request – I recently paid $475 for a membership with The Resort Club, but then decided against it. I notified them that I wish to cancel my membership, in writing via Registered Mail during the 10 business day cooling-off period (according to the Fair Trading rules.) I also rang and spoke to Kristy in Management who organized my refund. A few days later, $475 was refunded to my bank account. Christine. Show details
Very helpful – I had booked accommodation to go on holidays with my family but with lock downs I had to change my dates. The woman I spoke to could not do enough to help me and went above and beyond good service, she made it very easy and even got me a better room with a view for our future booking. Thank you for you kind words and assistance in an already difficult time. Show details
Saves me time and Money – I havent been yet, how ever booking was made easy, sent request through website , late at night and was booked following morning, that easy :) i listed a few hotels from website and was given advise on each hotel. Show details

Absolute scam. Purchased vouchers over 15 years. As we forget we had them, I received a call many years ago and paid $350 for the upgrade as it sounded excellent. I realised after I phoned them to use the vouchers, they had completely told me incorrect information and I asked for a refund. No refund was forthcoming. They call every few months and… Read more
I block them, and they obviously change their number often. Every time, they call, I ask, 'do you want money?'. The answer is always yes. I said, where is my money and they commence speaking rudely and hang up!
Should be The Rort Club not The Resort Club. Glen phoned today with these great deals where you earn points and get cheap accommodation and advised I had $50.00 credit from years ago. He advised he did not know where the credit came from and I told him it came from a scam for which I paid approx. $200 about 10 years ago and received vouchers for… Read more
cheap accommodation however, I could not use the vouchers to book any accommodation at any of the advertised sites and I could not contact The Resort (Rort) Club as they would not return my calls. Glen advised things had changed now and it was a legitimate business. He advised it was $900 to join but he would sign me up today for the discounted price of $495 but only if I paid today. I told him I did not want to join as "It was an offer that sounded too good to be true" and reading the reviews on this site, IT IS.
The resort club is the greatest rip-off in have ever had the displeasure of being associated with. After promising me the world with cheap deals I have not had one decent offer. I have told them not to keep ringing me but they persist. I have been scammed twice with the promise of good deals if I pay them so much for my level. Absolutely… Read more
ridiculous as they keep coming back asking for more money before they offer me anything. This is the greatest scam I have ever seen. And years on its still operating. They suck in poor unsuspecting clients as they are well skilled in their approach. My husband warned me!!! Shame on you for taking money off people who believe you. You are absolute rubbish.

Even one star is too much for this scam. They just say sorry all booked out with points - 30 seconds after they are supposed to availible every week. They are as dodgy as - never give them a cent. Show details

Don't fall for their upgrade or offer of cheaper accommodation. What you are told over the phone isn't the reality. I was told that every week they offer free holidays - just use your bonus points. Turns out I've never seen a holiday just one or two nights and it could be in WA or NT - air fares would cost well over value of the hotel. It's the… Read more
biggest legal scan under the sun. It's virtually impossible to secure these offers even if you are sitting on the phone when immediately released. Asked for a refund but told "we do offer free holidays you just have to be quick."
Got a random call from the Resort Club this morning. Apparently I was a member years ago (which may be true, you used to be able to buy holiday vouchers for mid-week breaks on the Gold Coast for under $100). The deal now is $500 upfront to become a member and get access to cheap holidays or free ones if you can be one of the lucky people to ring… Read more
up after 1pm on a Wednesday.
I wasn't committing to buying anything on the phone so have looked up their website. The "hot deals" you can book are anything but. The Breakfree Alexandra Headland resort 2 bedroom pool view is offered for $1885 for 3 nights. From the resort's own website, you can get three nights for $708 (non-refundable). That is a massive difference - the resort is $1100 cheaper by booking direct!
I won't be signing up as The Resort Club seems to offer no value.
Terrible- I wish I could rate as 0! Absolute rort. Sales advised I could use my card as cash for hotels but when I went to use it I was told that was only on Wednesdays for their special deals. False sales advice, more expensive than booking.com! Don’t join! Show details
Do NOT purchase any packages from the Resort Club. I purchased an upgrade package, through hard sell tactics and promised by the Sales staff member (who conveniently doesn't work there any longer) that if I didn't use the package i would receive a full refund. On explaining my circumstances to them as to why I didn't use the package there was no… Read more
level of empathy or attempting to understand my circumstances. The managers were very condescending in their tones and even when I asked to talk to upper management I was informed they were not available to talk to.
I too fell for this over 15 years ago, with many many calls over the last decade. They rang again recently and after a few discussions with a representative I thought I could trust them. I paid the upgrade again and was offered a 'card' containing over 10,000 points (including what I already had and a bonus for upgrading). I obviously was… Read more
completely misled. The phone numbers provided both via the representative I spoke too and those in the barrage of emails I get are all disconnected. I tried to book accommodation with the representative I spoke to but she kept telling me I had to contact reservations separately. Each time I have tried to book something nobody gets back to me. I have given this company over $1000 myself, this last time only 4 weeks ago $495.00, with only a card (representing membership) that looked legitimate in return. It really is just so annoying and rude. Is there a way to report these people? Trip Completed: No
Man I wish I had read all of these reviews before handing money to this company. I fell for this over 15 years ago, paid the upgrade. Harassing calls over the last decade. time I was called, I requested contact from a manager, never have spoken to anyone helpful. Every time I have tried to book something nobody gets back to me. I have given this company close to $1000 with nothing in return and have not been able to get a refund. It is so disappointing and yes disgusting. Has anyone contacted the ombudsman? I feel like there are enough of us here. Its pretty clear that they are taking advantage of people.
RED FLAG, Stay away, over promised and under delivered, take your money and never give your vouchers, staff says manager will call you but never does, cheaper to book with booking.com. Show details

The Resort Club seems like a big scam. Even if you cancel your membership in time it seems impossible to get a straight answer out of them, or get your money back. I will be looking at reporting them to the ACCC, Policy and Media.
The Resort Club is a fancy scam. They have been trying to call me for 10 years now. I have tried to unsubscribe multiple times. I tell them each year they are a… Read more

Received a call today, i normally know when they call as I have saved no. but Barry got me today with a no. I was unaware of. was disgusted in what I had to pay out of pocket and what I actually had booked. This is no doubt a scam, said I had over $7000 on card he would send out today in mail haha although the postage was going to cost me $495.00 then the next breath he said I would have $10,000.00 on this prestige pass card. To good to be true, honestly not worth your hard earned money or savings. And I did look online and you cannot purchased the prestige pass at all. Now I am sure I was LIED to by Barry????
He can’t back his words up at all. You all should be ashamed of whoever and how many of them is there? Very UnAustralian mate, fair dinkum!!!!
No stars from me - - - do not get sucked in - it is all just crap --- yes you paid them money for fake yep fake information that you will save and you get 5000 points to use stay free --- loads of bull, all just a gimmick never ever can you use your points ever Show details
Have nothing to do with The Resort Club. We paid an additional $485 in 2024 to join their Ultimate Travel Club to cash in our points from years of voucher offers which we were never able to put to use. They are now calling themselves The Holiday Club as well, according the the phone call I just received. We had paid approximately $500 in two… Read more
separate payments over the last 15 years. When they offered us the opportunity to cash in our points to become part of The Ultimate Travel Club and receive an email every Wednesday with 2 or 3 travel offers which we could pay for with our Points, I said I couldn't possibly do that without visiting their office/call centre . We thought that we were cautious enough. When we visited their office in December 2023, we thought it sounded like a good opportunity to cash in the dollar value of our unused vouchers. After many unsuccessful attempts to purchase a few days of accommodation by calling very soon after 1 pm on Wednesdays (once literally two minutes past 1 pm) just to be told that the one offer had already been snapped up. It became apparent that there were only one or two offers available each week for who knows how many members of The Ultimate Resort Club. I received a call today to offer us a chance to improve our member status to The Prestige Club whatever that is ? So far our association with The Resort Club has not resulted in any holidays.
the first phone call is full of how great it will be to use your points any where in Australia Pay up $475 and get the points plus the points I had on the previous system. 7,000 points for me to use. Then the reality kicks in. Every Wednesday an e-mail at 1pm with a selection of destinations all over Australia. The problems are that the choices… Read more
are for 2 nights. WA, SA, TAS, NSW. far Nth QLD. I live in QLD. the cost to take up this offer for 2 days is enormous with plane trips or rail or car costs. Then the biggest problem is they only offer 1 member to take this "use your points" offer. Every time I ring 1 minute after receiving the email the offer has been taken. Every time. Like other reviews the staff are abrupt and don't seem to give a damn. Don't waste your time and money on this nonsense company.
Non payment of agreed refund – The Resort Club is a sham. My experience with them harassing me to upgrade over years despite me telling them to remove my name is similar to many others on product reviews for this company.
