Followed up in April and in May, no response, but a "logistics issue" broadcast email. I have now lodged a chargeback with my bank. does not fit a standard queen size quilt. A standard quilt is 210cm x 210cm the cover I received is 200cm x 230cm. I don’t even know where I would find a quilt to fit that.
In addition the care tags have been cut off. Under Australian consumer law, attached care labels are mandatory.
I contacted the company asking for a refund and pointing out that care tags were mandatory and the quilt was extremely poor quality and didn’t fit. It was refused, I was told I should have checked the dimensions online, I believe these have been edited online since my purchase and I think it is reasonable to expect a queen quilt cover would fit a standard size quilt, not once have I ever had a problem in the past with other brands
After several complaints and requests for a refund I was emailed some washing instructions and told they do not offer refunds.
I have reported to ACCC.

After weeks of back-and-forth with The Simple Society and repeated refusals to provide a refund, I received an email suggesting that colour perception is tricky, and that if I looked more closely at their website images, the discrepancy would make sense. Conveniently, those images had been changed after my complaint. Unfortunately for The Simple Society, I had already taken screenshots of the original photos from both their website and Instagram, and it is clear the imagery has been altered. This is an extremely brazen and misleading practice. I have reported the matter to the ACCC and am awaiting their response. A hard lesson in the importance of doing proper research before purchasing.

when the item finally arrived, the colours were wrong and nothing like advertised. When I advised the company that I recieved the wrong item I was told that it was correct and it was my lighting that was wrong. Very difficult return process to which I gave up. Quality is super poor. Quilt feels rough and cheap and not all worth the $240 that was paid. Their Instagram also has zero comments ither than from bots so the whole company is a sham.

and contacted them before the item was shipped, they refused to cancel the order or issue a refund, repeatedly hiding behind “policy.” They effectively do not offer refunds (only a store credit) unless you accept delivery from an overseas supplier and then jump through a returns process.
Any so-called “disclosure” about international suppliers is buried in FAQs and policy pages, not clearly presented when you’re actually paying. That’s misleading, plain and simple. Had this been transparent upfront, I would never have purchased.
I’ve now had to escalate the matter through my bank and have also been in contact with the ACCC regarding their conduct.

issue. They dropped their offer to $25 and when I advised them I would escalate externally they said they wouldn't help me anymore. They use AI to respond to emails and have clearly given up trying to fix the issues that people are sharing online and are feeling overwhelmed. I advised them I worked in customer escalations management and was happy to work with them towards a fair resolution and they just didn't care. I will be escalating this further across various channels and welcome others to reach out to me to work collaboratively on a favourable response.

Do not buy from these people. The fitted sheet does not cover the sides of the mattress, the top sheet is just a piece of fabric that's been edged and almost looked like it had been slept on. I ordered a quilt cover set on November 2nd, and as of December 4th, I still have not received it despite following up on multiple occasions and living in the same state. The company is indeed Adelaide-based, (you can find the owners on [Content Removed]), but they dropship the items from [Content Removed]. I have asked for a refund, and they have said I should have requested it within 24 hours and will only offer store credit.
Do not deal with this company. The products are of poor quality and do not match the photos on their website. Slow delivery. Sheets arrived, shoved in a plastic bag with Chinese characters on the bag- not folded. The sheet is the wrong colour, and there is only one pillowcase instead of the two promised.
