Still selling online but not delivering – I had read that the physical store in Melbourne had closed and they were now only online. Bought a pair of shoes on sale online (fortunately used PayPal), and have received neither the shoes nor responses to 2 emails since purchased 3 weeks ago. Not looking hopeful….
Unbelievable – I emailed the company to tell them that I was having to return my order as they were much larger than the current pair I wear. This was around the 28th February. Order number query. Yesterday evening, I had an answer to my text. Then the text said sorry, had to Go, get back to you soon. They just emailed me again, and I have demanded another address and refund. I don’t expect to hear from them. I am thinking of reporting to the Fair Trading Ombudsman. They are still selling online.

Wednesday 16.10.2019 I ordered Xero sandals
Wednesday 23.10.2019 received the sandals. When I opened the package, one of the sandals has been visibly damaged. The sandals have been only in the shipping box without any extra protective packaging so the person would have to see it. I contacted the company and have been told that they don't have any in the stock and that they are waiting for a delivery which should be in the next few weeks. I said I am not happy about it as I am planning to go for the trip and would like to have them before I would be going.
Thursday 24.10.2019 got an email saying they can't fasten their delivery and I would have to wait
Friday 25.10.2019 - Suddenly they appear in the stock. They have sent me the return label. Their shipping/ return shipping is extremely slow. It took 5 business days. Other companies from Melbourne takes 3 days by regular post.
Friday 1.11.2019 the sandals have been returned. I called them if they could send the replacement ASAP with express shipping. I have been told that they have a half-hour to do it and they will do it straight away with the express shipping
Wednesday 6.11.2019 I would expect to have them here by Monday 4.11.2019. When they have not arrived by Wednesday 6.11.2019, I gave them a call. The person suddenly didnt know anything about my case. She promised me to call back. When since morning no one rang, in the afternoon I gave them a call again to be told, that they have been sent by express post on Friday 1.11.2019 and that is a problem of the post office. So, I asked for a tracking number and have been told they can't give it to me ( I have been told they will call me the following day and they will provide me the tracking number), but I should receive them definitely by Friday 8.11.2019. ( spoken to post office and have been told if they have been sent on Friday 1.11.2019 they would definitely be here on Monday 4.11.2019, they wanted to help me so they asked me for the tracking number but I couldn't provide it as the Walking Company refused to give it to me. Even in the post office they said, they can't give it to me because probably they still have not sent it. The lady over the phone from Walking Company gave me an excuse with the attitude that they had a public holiday on Tuesday 5.11.2019 and that is the post office who is holding it)
Thursday 7.11.2019 as promised that someone will call me back with the tracking number, I had to pick the phone to give them a call. I was given the tracking number finally. When I tried to track it, first the number didn't work. A few hours later I could see that packaged was picked from them on 7.11.2019 and it was sent by regular post. (on 14.11.2019 this packaged still didn't arrive). The lady on the phone would keep telling me that they have sent it on Friday on 1.11.2019 by express post. She couldn't explain why she couldn't give me a tracking number yesterday and why tracking is saying it was picked up from the sender on 7.11.2019.
Friday 8.11.2019 Miracle happened. Different package with different tracking number then they gave it to me arrived. By express post. And what a surprise this time when I opened it, it was wrapped in original packaging. Something which was completely missed the first when I have received the damaged pair.
So first I have been sent visibly damaged shoes, then I have been told different stories about their stock, and then someone messed up the shipping. When they stopped replying to my emails, I started calling them to get some answers. So, if you want hassle-free purchase, I would avoid this company. They are a much better one with much better service and the same stocks.

Weird, I have dealt with them over many years - no problem – I made an error with sizing, got mixed up with UK/US sizes. Called, no issue, they can exchange for the required size, paid $12 for an Auspost voucher for return which is very reasonable. Delivery with tracking was very efficient despite the holidays. Not Happy – Purchased an item from them through Laybuy last Friday have made 2 payments They sent me a tracking number Saturday, I keep checking my Auspost app and states it's unconfirmed in their system after multiple emails they finally reply stating Tuesday was a public holiday and would sent today well it's 6pm and still haven't posted. Great price and customer service – I recently bought a pair of Dr Martens from TWC through their online store. I realised I'd made a mistake with my order and emailed Customer Service, hoping they could help. Sarah responded extremely quickly and helpfully, and sorted out the issue immediately. Taken money for nothing – Same here, placed order in January. Followed up in Feb and got the same e-mail stating delay in supply but would receive goods in 7-10 days. It is now April and amid the Coronavirus debacle, still not shoes and no e-mails. NOTHING! Also charged an international transaction fee for an Australian Company! (???)

my number for a call back twice but surprise surprise they haven't called. This is very disappointing as I like the shoes, I don't want a refund just an exhange. Appalling customer service if you can't even reply to an email. I will never buy from them again and will tell everyone I know to not to support them either.

not be worn, must be in original box and no sign of wear". That's all well and good but the only way I found out what was wrong with it is because I wore it around the house and to the shops a few times.
Since then, complete radio silence from them. I would say I've sent 8+ emails and messages and have heard nothing from them. It has been MONTHS now. I would NEVER recommend buying from these guys, their customer support is dreadful. I have now spent like $200 on shoes (Doc Martens) and don't know what to do with them because I can't wear them comfortably. Yes they sent the shoes, and it was a decent price but this is ridiculous. As soon as you have an issue, they are no where to be seen and I don't know what to do so I can wear my shoes.
If you're read this Walking Company, give me my money back. I am not happy at all and will make sure I tell anyone to avoid your website, because this really isn't good enough.
shoes not arrived – I also placed an order on 7 feb and have not received.. I did receive email saying order confirmed and said I would receive another email when dispatched but I have not received any further emails .. I emailed company to enquire about delivery delays and have not had any response ... was hoping to receive shoes before I travel early March :-( hopefully not affected by the caronavirus!!!
Scam maybe – Placed order on 7th of February still have not received my order, have sent emails with no response maybe it's a scam I've checked with consumer protection no other lodgments have been made against them as yet I'll give them until the end of the week to respond I will then be putting in a complaint to consumer protection.

Excellent service – I found the website easy to navigate. I had to contact The Walking Company directly via phone as I had to switch a product. This was easily arranged by the Customer Service Rep and in addition refunded the difference paid. The service was excellent . Would highly recommend.
