NEVER NEVER buy from this company. Their ILLEGAL practice of charging your credit card without your authorisation is TRUE! It happened to me and I had to report them to my bank who advises I cancelled my card immediately. I cannot believe this company is still in business and allowed to operate. The authorities need to shut them down NOW!!!

Beware of this company. They have now changed their name to 'Wine Vault'!

Horrible – NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you do they will never leave you alone, they call multiple times a day from multiple numbers I have over 50 numbers blocked. I have spoke to multiple people and told them to stop calling. I had a reprieve for a couple of months but they have since started again. Not only that the wine I did order they didn’t have in stock so I had to change my order and that wine was terrible anyway.

My 74 yO wife has been with the The Wine Concierge Group (trading under the name Wholesale Vininers Pty Ltd) for a number of years and was happy with the service until very recently when they began frequently delivering 1-dozen cases at perhaps 3-5 day intervals (basically, whenever they felt like it.) After 2-weeks, she had accumulated something… Read more

like 8-dozen bottles so we tried to stop the deliveries but the morons kept sending them AND AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED HER MASTERCARD WHO SHE (STUPIDLY) GAVE THEM FOR AUTO DIRECT DEBIT PURPOSES). They ignored her directive to stop the deliveries so we went to the Commonwealth Bank to stop the auto-payments and this is where it gets really interesting. The bank manager at Endeavour Hills told us that once the direct debit account had been set up, no one other than the supplier can cancel it.... how crooked is this cosy arrangement between supplier and commonwealth Bank.?? The only way out of our predicament was to cancel the credit card and re-apply for another one which is what we did. We informed The Wine Concierge what we had done but amazingly, the wine deliveries kept coming for a couple of weeks. We kept a tab on our credit cards but they had not been debited. We now have something like 10-dozen bottles of white stockpiled in our spare room. Amazingly, noone from The Wine Concierge has contacted us and arranged for pick up. "She who must be obeyed" is slowly working through the booze and may be in about 3-months the stockpile would have been consumed. This Wine Concierge mob is definitely shifty and is to avoided and buyer beware ..... NEVER GIVE ANYONE ACCESS TO YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR AUTO DEBIT PURPOSES..... the Bank (Commonwealth in our case) cannot cancel the direct debit process (and probably doesn't want to! .... The ACCC must get onto this legal scam.

daily calls will not stop – I got talked in to 2 dozen wines, which was a good price for ok wine but express delivery was not used as promised. However, with the continuous harassment from the sales rep, using different phone numbers each time (they begin with 0489 910 xxx) I spoke with [Name Removed] the agent twice asking to be removed from the list, to stop calling me… Read more

daily. he tried to sell me wine, then fobbed me off 'with have a good day', then called again the next day. It has been relentless for a month or so now. will never buy from them again.

Highly Unethical Company – Constantly receive calls. If don't answer they call back from another number. Despite never having purchased from them they always ask how was my last order, but unable to tell me what I ordered. I've repeatedly asked them not to call and am on the Do Not Call register. How many phone numbers do they have? I have blocked so many but they still call. Mobiles numbers seem to start with 0489 - and landline is (08) 6285...

Wine Concierge phoned again – First call of 2025 from this awful company, who asked how I was getting along with the wine I had recently purchased. No, I have never purchased wine from this company and despite blocking every number they call on, and despite repeated requests not to call, they persist. I won't ever, ever, ever, buy wine from this company. How can I say… Read more

never, ever, ever? Because I don't drink wine and I might drink 2 or 3 times, at the most, in a whole year. And then I don't drink wine. Or beer. Or ale. Or lager. On the rare occasion that I drink, I will drink a cocktail.

Wine concierge, if you're reading, firstly stop calling people and trying to argue that they did purchase your wine and secondly, when asked to take someone's number from your calling list, do that.

Whatever you may have been taught in school about perseverance, persistent unwanted contact is persecution!

I feel like we should be given the opportunity to allocate 0 stars, or perhaps negative stars.

Ripped Off – I was assured of the superior quality of a carton wine priced above what I would normally pay. The wine was inferior for the price so return was arranged through Customer Support person Alwin. I delivered the wine to Aus Post on 11 December 2024 and have confirmed it was left at Wine Concierge on 17 December. No credit received so I tried… Read more

contacting WC by phone (0485874681 and 0399613116) and online. Phone numbers are not answering and recorded message is - "sorry the phone number was not found". No response to the online query lodged. Looks like my money is gone, taken by thieves!

Don’t buy. Report this company to ACCC if you are being tele-harassed – I have reported this company to ACCC and ACMA. Total breach of privacy and breach of Australian telemarketing laws. Phone spammers using automated dialling. Wine delivery 3 weeks late despite 48 hour order commitment. Don’t buy from them. Please report them to the authorities.

Harassment – I have no interest in this company. They call me while I am at work and will not take any notice of anything I say to get off the phone except hanging up.

The worst sales harassment I’ve ever experienced – Matt from the Wine Concierge is bombarding my phone with calls from land line numbers and mobile numbers. Tried blocking the calls but just get another call from another number. I get up to four calls a day. I have never expressed any interest in buying from this company so I have no idea how they got my number. It’s very stressful and feels like… Read more

harassment. I simply hang up when they call and block the number immediately, but they just call again from a new number! This has been going on for over a year. It’s seriously taking a toll on my health. They call on weekends and after business hours too. Their calls often interrupt online meetings, other calls etc. enough is enough. I’m filing a complaint to the ACCC about this company.

Not worth the headache – The WINE CONCIERGE SERVICE sales person described the Chapel Point wine as Full Bodied Shiraz from the Barossa Valley worth $29 a bottle and award winning. The wine is actually from Victoria and is not a full bodied wine by any means and I doubt if it could win an award. The sales person knows the wine I prefer and marketed this inferior wine as… Read more

one that suited my profile. The sales person was either ill-informed or dishonest in his dealings with me in order to make a sale. I’ve sent two emails and several texts by phone regarding getting a refund all to no avail and this saga has been going for 8 weeks now. The company has a refund policy and it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. Save yourself any annoyance and don’t buy wine from the Wine Concierge service.

No empathy for disabled – This company continually calls someone that has alcohol induced dementia and continually gets orders from this person as he doesn’t understand what he is doing. After numerous calls and emails they still continue to harass this person even after being told he is on the do not call list. I’m talking thousands of dollars taken from this person.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED! – Will not leave you alone. Countless infuriating phone calls and now from a local land line number as I have blocked them dozens of times..DO NOT get involved with this company as it does not stop ringing! Would give zero stars if possible, it's harassment...

Wine paid for but not received – My review is far from complementary, I ordered and paid for 2 cases of Shiraz on Monday 11th March 2024, the sales rep promised wine would be express delivery in 3 days. 15 days later I still have not received my wine after calling the same sales rep 3 times, promise after promise to get back to me. Which never happened. Now they won’t even answer… Read more

Was the wine group – I have been receiving non stop calls from Matt since Covid. These call are almost every day and multiple times a day. When it was the wine source I asked him to stop calling as I was an alcoholic and he told me to buy for my friends!

Total spam factory - call incessantly now using mobile numbers – Don’t know how they got my number, expect some unscrupulous REA. Call nearly every day, sometimes on weekends. I block each one and they call on a new one each time. Now using mobile numbers making it harder to spot them. Have been fined $200k already and just don’t care. Should be wound up by the regulator.

Harassment from your staff ( Matt ) – Your staff member had constantly called me at all hours of the day to try & sell me wine . I am a recovering alcoholic & I don’t need this harassment. I understand that he is just doing his job but he doesn’t know the meaning of the word NO !!! If he doesn’t stop calling me I will take matters further to a higher level . !!

Buyer beware! – I used to order from these people when they were called Oak Road, constant phone calls as other reviewers have stated. Finally they stopped calling after I blocked all of their phone numbers. I agreed to purchase three cases with Wine Concierge not realising it was the same company two months ago. I am still waiting for one of my three cases despite them taking my money immediately! I will never order from this company again.

Leave me alone – I advised that I wasn't in the market and call back in 6 months. "[Name Removed]" ignored it and tried to sell me an offer. I advised my wife had been diagnosed with cancer this afternoon so call in 6 months. "[Name Removed]' again tried to sell me an immediate offer. I told him never to ring again and hung up!

Robot calling – These guys use a bot to call and talk to you...its not a real person. Next time Matt calls ask what day it is....or how many days in a week...anything other than wine talk. This sort of business practice should be banned. Don't be fooled by this lazy company!

Non stop calls I never signed up for – After purposefully missing many calls for a few weeks I answered one on Saturday afternoon to put a stop to it, I told Matt I didn’t drink wine so didn’t want of his calls. I’ve never ordered or directly signed up from the Wine Concierge so no idea where they got my number from. Of course today Matt called again with the same spiel, told him I didn’t drink and asked to be taken off whatever list I was obviously on and he just hung up on me.

Liars just chasing sales – I was called from a very very pushy sales person (I get it, sales people have to sell) and against my better judgement (have had issues with them in the past) I decided to buy a case of wine. The sales person said: - All wines are premium wines and all worth at least $29 a bottle, absolutely amazing quality. - Express shipping and wine will… Read more

arrive in 1-3days - I will not receive any Merlot or Pinot Gris as I don’t drink those varieties. - he was applying his ‘staff discount’ to the sale.

When I finally agreed to purchase the wine and paid accordingly, as soon as the transaction went through he lost all Interest and his entire voice changed and he ended up actually just hanging up on me.

A week passed and no wine had arrived and then I get a call from the accounting team saying I had underpaid and I owed them $50. I told them to listen to the call again and cancel the order as I was no longer interested.

Then got an email from customer service apologising saying that my case of Shiraz would be on its way (I ordered a mixed case) I corrected them and reminded them it was a mixed case and not to include Pinot Gris or Merlot. They then said it would be on its way.

Another two weeks later this wine finally arrived (express??!) I was hoping to be wowed and surprised by the wine and it would be worth the hassle but..

You couldn’t make this up, but I received 4 Merlots, 2 Pinot Gris, 5 other bottles of wine and one bottle without any label at all so (??) not to mention that the average retail value of each bottle was $12.50 not the $29 I purchased.

Then I emailed them to say: can you send what I was promised or return it, and specifically why, they just said “I am sorry this case was not to your liking”

This is lying, misrepresentation and sloppy. This company should be investigated honestly!!

Will stick with the Wine Collectors thanks.

Will call you for the rest of your life – Purchased from them a few times some years back and have never been able to unsubscribe from their calls. At the moment they call me twice a day, and take no notice of me asking to be removed from their list, despite saying they will. I block their numbers but they must have multiples. Spam at its worst.

Pushy salespeople that don’t listen – I was cold called by someone from this group. I kindly said I didn’t drink and that I didn’t want to waste his time. This was followed by the person asking me to think about a time I will drink again, and then to think back to a time when I used to drink. I tried to laugh it off to get him off my back as it was virtually impossible to get a word… Read more

in (and when I did he didn’t listen - totally driven by his own agenda), but honestly, all I’ve been able to think of since is what if I was an alcoholic? How awful to be put under that kind of pressure and for those kinds of questions to be asked. It was so incredibly unethical. I’ve now added my name to the do not call register so I never have to get a call from this group again

Don't stop calling, no matter how many times you hang up or tell them you're not interested – Some dude called Matt just loves rejection. Calls again and again and again. I tell him I'm not interested weekly and he just doesn't stop. It's basically spam and slime. I would never buy from these guys based on their harassment wine sales techniques.

Beware! – Received a call from a salesman who was overfamiliar. I stated that I was not interested and he just pushed through with the hard sell. I asked him where he got my details. He hung up. I phoned back 3 times, spoke to someone else. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They hung up on me.
