another 5 weeks then the right bullbar came in. Dropped the motorhome off again got a story about low staff etc but they had it all day, we decided to leave it in their workshop overnight to pick up in the morning. Message at 7.30 next day can we wait until 9.30 to pick up ok we did. First time away after bullbar fitting we have no radar sensor and no cruise control. Rang the manager at tjm who was well aware of this potential problem and asked us to come back so we went back on returning to the central coast. The manager and one of the employees attempted to reset the sensor or whatever and upon failing told us we would have to go to an iveco dealer to have the sensors recalibrated at our cost $600. In other words they washed their hands of us and future problems and costs are now our problem. They still have our original bumper bar, they knew this was a potential problem when fitting the bullbar but said nothing. This company is part of a large motor group and should do much better by its customers. I expected much more .
Absolutely incompetent !!! My Hilux almost 2 weeks at their TJM dealer with a hole in the side where a snorkel should be installed and head office (Aeroklas Asia Pacific) is on attempt #2 to get the correct part to their dealer FFS. The dealer cocked up by ordering a snorkel for a 4 door N80 instead of the 2 door. Cut the hole, then reached out… Read more
to TJM to get the correct part. They've left their dealer hanging badly. Contacted TJM head office and all you get is "we're really so sorry", but won't let the dealer or the customer to arrange their own courier. The dealer is on attempt #2 to get the part with the last lost or damaged by the courier?? A ring around to TJM dealers indicates there's stock available at both TJM and the dealers. The courier company TJM use apparently don't provide tracking details?? You have to email them, then sit and wait in hope it someday turns up. I can get parts from the UK or US in 3 days, but TJM can't get a part to a dealer in an emergency in 2 weeks (and counting) ????? My Hilux is still in the workshop. I have trip after trip now cancelled and costs mounting. Save yourself a world of hurt and go ARB or Pedders. It's been a long time since I've experienced a company so bad as TJM handle something that is so absolutely easy to fix. Overnight ship through a reputable courier. Easy fix. Instead, they have absolute contempt for customers and no part or solution in sight ....

I will never buy another TJM product I’ve had 2 vehicles fitted out with there gear .i got new suspension plus $25,000 worth of other gear fitted at Tawoomba, now the suspension has fallen off after 4,000 ks and now this mob don’t want anything to do with it !!! Now there blaming the product as the problem and not that TJM fitted it and poor TJM workmanship is the fault . Don’t buy anything of these rogues hit to another brand trust me . Show details
New Geelong store – We went into the new geelong store today. All is the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were given options on the compressor we were looking at and they helped us find the best option for our needs. It was wonderful walking into the store and being greeted by friendly faces. Well done everyone. We will be back. Janine and Brian.
Great service from The TJM Brendale team – Great service from TJM Brendale. Just had an Outback bullbar, snorkel and UHF installed. Great product and the staff and workshop are very professional. Very happy with the product. Show details
Go and burn your money instead, much more enjoyment – Full XGS4000XT suspension kit installed by TJM Darwin. Struts started to leak after 1 year. The front left was sagging and incredibly soft after 6 months, was told by the store the car was not sitting on flat ground that was why (It was sitting on their concrete pad in front of their store????). After 2 years all struts were leaking. I have never… Read more
done serious 4wd tracks, only dirt roads and touring. I contacted the store where I bought the kit and installation only to be told I did not buy it there because they could not find it anywhere in their system. I was then told just go a buy a new one and replace it yourself.
**Update**
After initially writing this review the head office in Brisbane contacted me asking for details. I provided the details they requested. The head office somehow managed to find the invoice when the store could not. Surprisingly enough the invoice was found to be out of warranty by only weeks and even though they were made fully aware I have been fighting this for over a year the found warranty period was over and they used their discretion to void warranty.
Thank you TJM for showing your true colours as to what you think customer support is. You have now left a family vehicle with a dangerous vehicle to drive and do not have the financial means to resolve it.
I and many other people will never purchase your product again.
Bullbar - Caution – TJM supplied and installed a T13 Outback Bullbar on my Prado in 2019. Recently noticed rust on the protection plates connected to the bullbar and provided by TJM as part of the Bullbar fitting. replace the parts at MY COST. Not interested!!!!! Absolutly no interest in helping me out with a part that really is not constructed or "fit for purpose". 4 Years old and rusted.

Help with ProRack parts – Rang the Toowoomba store and spoke to Steve. He advised that they don't stock Prorack anymore, but then went out of his way to find that Supercheap maybe able to help. (And yes they could) Great service and something you dont get very often these days. Well done Show details
Good old fashioned service – I spoke to Dave on a couple of occasions in regards getting a Davis Brown long range fuel tank for my Ranger. He was thorough in letting me know what was involved in both fitting and cost. They were very accommodating with when I was able to leave my vehicle with them. Had a good chat when I picked up my car - good old fashioned service, rarely seen these days. Highly recommend TJM Carlton (NSW) Show details

Ranger Dual cab side steps installed on a 2015 Ranger Super Cab – 2015 Ranger Super Cab had side steps installed at TJM Nailsworth only to discover after install that TJM only make one length side step and that is made for the dual cab, so the side step hangs out a significant amount behind the cab and look ridiculous. Poor Install, after sales service and care!!! – Have used TJM a number of times for my 4wds but never ever again. Why? After sales care is poor and extremely bad. One of those was to fix an air line pipe they simply placed over the… Read more
exhaust which melted it!!!. In latest case and for same airbag system, I rang TJM Geraldton in desperation to have failed airbag once again looked at given I mid travel around Australia. The TJM I called gave an excuse of being too busy and effectively fobbed me off even after giving them some notice and explaining my issues and my difficult travel situation of being in transit around Australia and towing a van. Simply advised couldn't help me sorry and got sense they didnt care about me or my or my family's welfare!!!!
In desperation called ARB in same town who were also busy but dropped everything to help me out and to fix TJM issue. Whilst they charged me which I expected, they cared more for me as a stranger than TJM did as a long term customer. ARB fixed all the mistakes and mentioned it was a poor installation which they were glad to correct. Just to add I took my vehicle to TJM before my trip and had everything checked so tells me never to trust them again when being told it's all good. TJM would be good to check the service etiquette of its stores as it poor responses like the above who makes long term clients like me loom elsewhere.
Poor quality powder coating outback bull bar – The tjm outback bull bar is marketed as a premium quality product built for Australian conditions but their powder coating is definitely not up to the task. vehicles have all been the same, as are all the tjm bull bars on our work vehicles. I think I’ll definitely be trying a different brand next time or factor in having the bar blasted, primed and some quality powder coat applied. Not something you should have to do for a bull bar that is $3000 for the bar alone, even if it’s made in china.
Poor Quality Product – TJM Side rails / Brush Bars - have had fitted for less than 18 months and serious rust issues already. Ordering and fitting via their Nerang store on the GC was also a painful process. Previously had similar ARB product fitted to prior 200 Series Landcruiser for a decade with no dramas or rust. the next available booking to have it fitted. Upon completion, Graham took me out to the vehicle to inspect the work to which I noticed a minor dent and scratches on the pillar to where the snorkel was mounted. I pointed this out to the salesman to which he offered me a discount as compensation. I declined as I would prefer for the damage to be repaired. He agreed to this and said he'd be in touch and send out a repairer to fix it. 2 weeks later, I called the store and Graham told me that his paint guy was still on holidays and that he would get in contact once he was back. During this time I notice that the car had been running a little rough. I checked under the bonnet to find that the airbox lid had not been clipped into place correctly. Once I had fitted it correctly, the car ran smoothly again. I emailed Graham to let him know the issue and that I also found a dirty hand print on the pillar interior to where the fitter would of been holding onto while drilling into the pillar. I had no response from the email so I called the store once again. Graham told me that the paint guy was still on leave and that he would talk to his manager. A few more weeks have passed and still no contact. Rather than waste anymore time, I have contacted my insurance company to which my car is now at a paint and panel repairer and my insurance company will chase TJM for the cost of repair.

Lismore TJM- not a good experience – Had an ECB bull bar fitted to my x-trail- nice bull bar, but terrible workmanship fitting it. When I got it back home noticed low beam not working on one side. Never TJM again- wish I’d come to this review site before hand!
Aeroklas Canopy & Rubbish Service – Installed an aeroklas canopy professionally through TJM. Withing three months of installation one of the canopy side windows exploded in my hands. Rubbish product, rubbish service and overall a terrible experience. I will never buy a TJM or Aeroclass product again.

painting. So its Russian roulette who you get!!! In my case I have a $100,000 2017 model 200 series landcruiser, with their flagship winchbar fitted, only 80,000ks and used for city driving only (no stone chips at this stage). The fault may have never been noticed for years until I did a trip from Rocky to the Gold Coast 8 mths ago, where I finally picked up stone chips. Got home cleaned the bar with high pressure wash and noticed the paint starting to peel from the chips. I then scratched the chip with my fingernail and it started peeling!!!! I then noticed the black powdercoat was still shinny, hence never being scuffed before painting!!!! We all know painted wont stick to a shinny surface!!! Local TJM offered to remove and refit FOC, but wants me to pay for the strip and repaint!!! THIS IS NOT MY FAULT!!! This is a clear breakdown in TJM's painting process. Correspondence from TJM now over a 6 month period, passing the buck from department to department, taking sometimes months on end for a response, finally saying yesterday "no its out of warranty." Being one of the biggest bullbar manufacturers in Australia I feel this is not good enough! Never had this problem with ARB!!! Dont RISK your money with TJM, as they're not cheap and mine is now worthless, quoted $1800 to repair. RIPPED OFF!!!!!

Great Product - Very Poor Quality Service! – I love the the look of the TJM bar work and I had this install on my Hilux. The bar work was installed and I had no issues. the rivets used allowing water penetrate. My long range fuel tank developed a very loud squealing noise which turned out to be the exhaust heat shield not being cut properly to allow for the new tank. My BCDC setup which was installed for my dual battery setup had a much smaller capacity fuse installed and tripped out. As I’m not an auto sparky I had to stop on a trip into canarvon to have this assessed. My TJM canopy has developed a leak through the newly installed air vent. This may not be a direct TJM issue but to think a foam seal is going to stop water / act as a seal is crazy. I’ve removed it myself and resealed it with silicone but it still leaks. I will be honest and say they have acted fairly quickly on all of the issues but what makes me extremely angry is i paid good money for the products and instalations. If I can maybe influence one persons choice or make them look at other products or services, then I’m happy. I’m not one to jump online and do this but after coming back to my car after a week sitting at the airport and see water on my draw setup, enough is enough! Cheers Steve
One star is a too generous rating for this company! – Purchased a Premium Canopy from TJM Tweed Heads, for my brand new Mitsubishi Triton, their marketing and Sales Rep said that they colour match it to my vehicle. both vehicle and canopy and discovered two extra pigments appeared in the colour of the canopy, compared to the colour of my vehicle! So how these two different colour can match is beyond logic! Buyers be very aware, you might have a fight on your hands, because after trying to deal with the company 6 months later nothing, went to NSW Fair Trade, and nothing was achieved there either. So now, I on to legal action and the court! What they advertise and what they actually do are very different. See photos for yourself!
In some photos(which are true and not altered) shows different colours in different light, the canopy looks darker compared to my vehicle on a sunny day and when cloudy, it looks lighter! Pathetic and frustrating!
TJM BUNDABERG – Always top service from these guys. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Willing to go the extra mile to keep their customers happy.
