and the retailer needs to have a shop front? When pointing out that all the retailers had physical addresses, they then said they look more like warehouses. Yes, warehouses you can walk into and buy something off the shelf, much like their Total Tools store but not as flash. After wasting 2 hours of my time, the lady serving me handed me over to the store manager, who then proceeded to not honour any of the price matching. Will be writing a complaint to the email address provided as well as the ACCC. I've come to realise that the 'Price Match Guarantee' is most likely a guarantee of refusal and this is systemic accross physical stores and when using the online price match service, which I tested today. ACCC need to investigate this as Total Tools are not following their own 'Terms and Conditions'.

WHAT SERVICE – I have in pass week visited the store 4 times, intending to purchase a battery SP mower, I did have a number of questions, but I received no assistance from staff. Don't believe the manufacturers statement s – I needed a drill strong enough to bore 18mm holes in old timber fence posts. The Detroit hammer drill advertising says it drills to 42mm in timber, and combines hammer and/or drilling as selected. This drill is alleged to be 1500 amps. There are no available bits with the fluted fittings except the three that come with the drill, so drilling 42mm… Read more

is impossible. The store representative said you could only do 42mm with a hole saw atttachment, and only after purchasing a chuck adaptor which are not available here. This hammer drill was replaced with a Detroit 1050amp drill/mixer, but this had less power than my 30 year old Makita 500amp drill. Detroit tools are something I will never look at again.

First time in store – Big shop for not much stock. Looked around nothing to catch your eye and say buy me. Will go back but just another shop. Same as everyone else. Insider club seems ok. Show details

I've reciently had a very bad experience with a competitor in rockhampton who's stickered price on the bench grinder box suddenly changed at the counter and I'm confident that this wouldn't happen at total tools.

10 out of 10 to all the team at Rockhampton branch as Rocky needs competition.

Looking forward, expanding into the more specialized tooling products in the near future would give the edge, especially in Rockhampton.

The best service – The Rockhampton store is the most courteous and obliging people I have come across. They bent over backwards to help me purchase my items and when I arrived home and unpacked one item found that there was a part missing, and on ringing the store they were very helpful and obliging to get the item that was missing. This small metal bandsaw is of unbelievable quality ! – I bought the small Saber bandsaw yesterday which can be used either as a vertical bandsaw with a table to work from or a horizontal band hacksaw. test cuts on some scrap steel I had laying around and I am extremely impressed by this little machine I am fairly confident you could cut up to 5” rhs boxline and it has various angles available to cut on well infinite up to 45 or 50 degrees it is made out of pretty heavy duty cast steel with pressed steel legs and I run a small bobcat and excavator business and this machine will absolutely cut anything that I’m going to need to cut. Much quieter and less aggressive plus vastly more accurate than my old drop saw no sparks no chance of lightning a fire and the finished cut is so clean you almost don’t get burrs or sharp edges saves so much time cleaning parts up to weld together. In short I love it great quality especially for the price I was pleasantly surprised recommend it to one and all !!
