Worst company I've dealt with in 50 years of business – Decided to give these a go as they were an Aussie company. Got a welder, used it three times, cable split, took it back and they lied to me. Said the manufacturer has said it is not covered under warranty, (they are/own the manufacturer) went to collect my machine and order this $6 cable. Found my machine had additional damage whilst I their… Read more
possession. They refuse to do anything about it. Manager won't even give me his last name to formally write to him. Now out $300 for the machine, it took 4 and a half months to get the cable, and cost me hundreds in fuel driving to Joondalup numerous times to get this sorted. Now writing to head office, consumer protection and the ACCC. Worst customer service ever.
Tried to exchange a faulty product, I failed just like the product! – I tried to return a mortar pointing gun that was jamming on site, had a good chat with the great staff, but when the owner/manager arrived, the chat immediately went south! he should stay out of it and trust his staff. Basically he started stating it was Saturday, made a thing of it, said he couldn't ring the manufacturer, I said I don't care… Read more
about that, not my problem, my transaction was with Total Tools. (basic Australian consumer law) and I wanted an exchange. He refused, and said he had to get permission from the manufacturer, again not my problem. Basically I could see immediately we had a problem, I think the item value is 150$ not something I'm worried about and I certainly wouldn't waste my time trying to exchange a product that wasn't faulty! so a bit dumfounded at the attitude, and as the product was faulty, it didn't matter what the manufacturer said, as he is obliged to replace or refund! but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning again to sort, imagine if this was a tool vital to my business!!! Anyway I got a bit agitated, and gave the manager a choice, either he exchanged it there and then or he looses me as a customer, he chose the latter, Strange decision really, as I went straight to Sydney tools and spent $840 on various items!! and I then I went to another total tools in Malaga and spent $200 on a tool belt! I actually spend an average of $4000 a year with Total Tools, a gold member, I have to set up a new employee soon and that means around $6000 on kit! Oh well thank god there's plenty of other tool shops!! you make your choice whether to shop there, great service until there's a small issue! then see what happens!!

Total Tools = TOTAL WASTE OF TIME – This mob advertised a AEROPRO 40L 2.5HP COMPRESSOR TTI25150 for $235.00 with FREE delivery on their website. I avoided online like a plague as I saw from other reviews that Total Tools are infamous for conducting sales albeit they have no stock. Called their Joondalup store to ensure they had stock as I also needed to check unit dimensions prior… Read more
to purchase. They had three units on display, all priced at $249.00 rather than the $235.00 online price so at this point, caveat emptor. Now, this is a standard item on their website - with the exact same item being stocked in-store. Yet it seemed to confuse the hell out of them as they spent ages trying to sort the price discrepancy. Even their manager seemed to have difficulty. I left them to it, measured the unit and returned to the front counter. I explained that CASA dictates goods transported by air MUST be properly packaged and secured, and preferably in the OEM box. I was very specific, and clearly indicated this to them. Their response: No deal. As, according to their manager, all these items had to be pressure-checked and tested prior to sale. I then asked if they had any units boxed in the OEM packaging. Once they confirmed that stock was available in the OEM box, I offered pay in full, assist with the unpacking, the said testing / checking - and then re-pack into the same OEM box at my cost and time. They would have none of it so I walked out - I'd had enough. First off, ALL their competitors are more than happy to sell you a small compressor in the OEM box as it saves them on labour and related costs. Secondly, one does not need to be a rocket scientist to assemble a small domestic compressor - all you need do is attach the handle and wheels, decant the required oil, check and start - the gauges will soon tell you whether or not the pressure is okay. By far, this has to be the most, incompetent, petty, inflexible company I have ever encountered. For the record - this single sale could have transpired to 12 units if all was okay. As for the Total Tools Joondalup store - an attitude adjustment is long overdue.

Faulty Bromic pump, Bad service – Ordered 80L jet pump online as being available and ready to deliver. Was advised days later by phone it would be ex East Coast ( 7 - 10 days ). Pump finally arrived and i fitted to system. Realised it was faulty & after further inspection realised it had damaged casing and fan blade. Notified Total Tools in Joondalup and they tried passing the… Read more
blame for the damage onto Australia Post , suggesting that a claim against Aus Post would have to happen. ( Garden Dying by this stage ) After i informed him that there was not a mark on the original pump packaging he back peddled and told me to get the pump down to them and they would get it sorted for me. ( I live 2.5 Hours North of Perth ). Was also informed that it would be another 7-10 days until another could be sent but they would have to check out the pump first and replace the faulty parts etc. I suggested to just send me a new pump but apparently that is too easy and they do it the hard way. I was also informed that i would have to drive down to Joondalup ( 2.5hrs away ) to pick it up when it arrived. I asked for the Bromic pumps representative email address so i could voice my dismay but was not allowed. Not good service at all. Today i received a call ( 47 DAYS from original order ) that i could pick the pump up, the salesman also offered me because of all the inconvenience a pressure switch that normally retails for $150 for $90. The offer was rejected. What a joke. Total tools . ( Garden dead ). I really wish i could swear !!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Cayote, we have contacted you directly regarding this with reference no. #259476. Thank you.
NO REFUND – After purchasing my item and using it for 10 minutes it fell apart on returning it to the store for a refund or store credit i was told that they would have to get permission from head office and denied a refund or store credit on the spot So i am now buying a $500 welder and ladders from SYNEY TOOLS Show details
