Car perfection - least drama! Total reliability! Perfect interior! Great power for its class! – NOTE: Cars I have owned previously include: Mistubishi Mirage, Ford Falcon BA, Toyota Camry Sportivo, Aurion V6, Camry Hybrid, Nissan Qashqai TS Diesel 2016, Nissan XTrail - 4 WD 2014, Toyota Camry Altisse 2009, Toyota Camry Altisse Hybrid 2015, Nissan Qashqai TI 2015... but the Toyota Camry HL Hybrid is the very top and favourite for so many… Read more

reasons, that you tend to take it for granted just how excellent it is. I wished I could chat to Elon Musk about Toyota and get him to partner with their Company as the global leader in Hybrid manufacturing up to this point.

Reliability with that O what a feeling! – 2013 atara sl. Great car very reliable with lots of power. Fuel economy on long trips excellent & in town average to a little high. Cheap to keep on the road. Comfy when on trips l drive it all day and get up and drive it all day again and for someone with arthritis & back issues that says a lot for a cars comfort. Sure a Merc would be nicer but l… Read more

paid less than 15k for my Camry with less than 40,000km on the clock. I test drove lots of petrol sedans & SUV's including (Mazda which came a close second) but when l discovered that the 2013- 2014 Camry atara sl was the best car and best value for money l kept looking until l found the one l wanted. $200 per year service cost (15,000km) with my mechanic who trained under Toyota dealership and now runs his own business. He loves my Camry as much as l do. O' don't worry about updating the gps use your phone & google maps. If l had a negative with this car its that when you fold down the back seats the opening through to the boot is to small due to the design.

Toyota, hang your head in shame – Our Atara S was our third Camry having previously owned a 2005 Camry Altise and still own a 2007 Camry Sportivo (which has been fantastic). Our Atara S was inferior to the previous model: the auto used to always be hunting up and down even if driving at constant speed, the diff clunked like an old Commodore whenever downshifting and the fuel… Read more

'economy' was terrible (couldn't even get 10lt per 100km on the highway and drank 13-15lt per 100km around town - my brothers V8 SS Commodore was better than this. Then there were the build quality issues: dashboard made a constant wrinkly-plasticy kind of rattle right across the firewall. After constant visits to the dealership over the period of warranty Toyota couldn't come up with a fix and we ended up having to involve Consumer Affairs, and even then they couldn't fix it. Had ongoing problems with the keyless entry system and the last straw was the steering wheel and brake pedal locking up resulting in the car needing towing. Had the Atara for 3 years and never had an opportunity to enjoy it as we were constantly taking it back to the dealership and in the end couldn't get rid of it quick enough. Based on the poor build quality and Toyota Australia's dismissive attitude towards the cars issues will never buy another Toyota.

Great car – I'm a Toyota man. So is my family, both here in OZ and overseas. For 25 years we have been a two four wheel drive family but when I retired my wife wanted a Camry. I was looking at upgrading my 100 series cruiser of Friday but the next day we bought a demo Camry. I like the look and feel and love the fact that it is front wheel drive. Economy is… Read more

just under 10 litres/100 for normal suburban driving. It rides well and is very peppy. What I don't like is that I have to climb down to get into the vehicle. At my age it's easier to climb up than down. Not a problem with the car but something to consider. We have a bucket load of grandkids so the three hooks for car seats is great. The boot is very big... This version does not come with sat nav which I believe is very useful. The backup camera and sensors are very handy also. We've only had it serviced once and because it's still under warranty it's fixed price around $280/service. Personally I think that;s a little steep for changing oil and just looking at things but thems the breaks. Overall I am very happy with our purchase.

Good car but a few things to keep in mind – Purchased used Toyota Camry Atara SX with 125,000km. Purchased with some reluctance as I had heard and read about the 2012-2014 models having some issues with the torque converter causing shuttering at speeds around 70-75kms. Pros; The 2.5 4 Cylinder engine is great, fun Cons; I have encountered the shuttering issue, at around speed 70km the… Read more

car is a little shuddery and shaky and doesn’t feel smooth. No recall for this issue in Australia, change transmission fluid very regularly and try to prolong transmission and converter

This is without a doubt the best car that I have owned – Being retired I use the car for local and city driving, as well as long distance for holidays. I use the car , on average 5 times per week. I get the car serviced on a regular basis as per the log book. Show details

Great car! But has more wear and rear specially around tires and brakes compared to Mazda – I use the car for day to day commuting... Use it regularly for both domestic and long drives. It gives good mileage around 6-10 ltrs per 100kms mileage is excellent on high ways. This car requires very low maintenance only 1 service per year. Show details

Very disappointed - weeks out of warranty - $3,700 battery replacement – Purchased brand new in 2013, sold on a 8 year battery warranty. 77 days out of warranty battery fails with a bill of $3,700 to replace. Dealer contacted head office on my behalf which was declined. I contact head office regards warranty as was only just out, to be told no, they not coming to the party regarding this. Been in contact with the ACCC who state ACL states 77 days passed warranty is not acceptable. Show details

Good overall – This car has big space, powerful enough for driving in the city. I was once driving it to Gold Coast, tried some mountain roads, not very good experience though. I am told that Camry is the only model assembled in Australia. I think that why the decorations inside are not as good as other models which are assembled in Japan. My Camry's trim… Read more

Okish car – The petrol does work but if you are going for a new car, go for the hybrid one. Takes too much petrol than you think. Not really fuel efficiency. The performance and handling is bad. Reasonable quite. Legroom is okay too. Guess they do a lot better with the dashboard. Don't go for Berwick Toyota since they rip you off.  Show details

DAB radio has started glitching on commercial digital radio stations – Approximately a month ago the digital audio radio stations started glitching or getting bad signal to the point where I can't use the DAB radio function on the car. Has anyone else experienced these issues as both of my camry's are experiencing the same problem? This problem fixed itself on both my cars and is no longer a problem. Show details

Totally reliable – While still working my last cars were all fancy Europeans - Saab, BMW & Audi. But I had serious problems with all of them, including breakdowns requiring towing, not to mention the high servicing costs. So on retiring I bought a 2013 (last year made in Australia?) Camry, as I had heard they were reliable. After 9 years the Camry still drives like… Read more

new – not one problem, not even a squeak or rattle, and just an annual service. For its price range I would score it good/excellent at everything. It’s unlikely I will ever need another car, but based on my experience if I do it would only ever be a Toyota, & probably a Camry.

Awesome every day car – Bought my Camry Hybrid in 2012, new, built in Australia. It is now 10 years old and it is an awesome car, especially while petrol prices are skyrocketing. I fill up every month to 6 weeks, saved the $4000 extra that hybrid costs before the car was even paid off. It's been 10 years and it's only needed usual general maintenance, and yes, the… Read more

battery is fine. The CVT is excellent, can't imagine going back to a traditional transmission, and the torque at the get go takes out any petrol road car. If you can beat me from a flat start then it was driver error, not the car. Going up hills at 110, may as well be flat road, it doesn't even acknowledge hills. Awesome everyday use car.

Stylish, economical and great to drive – I use my car for everyday driving like school, shopping and going to work. It's very reliable and great to drive short and long distances. The seats are comfortable and I love the extras including the electric blind on the back window which helps keep the sun off my daughter's car seat. It's the best car I've owned and will be keeping it for as long as possible. Show details

Toyota Camry is one of the best ever produced – I had 2 (one of them Camry 2009)of them and they have delivered excellent service. They are built to last and reliable. Spacious car with good boot space and leg room. Bit low on kms consumes 10l per 100k.m in the Hwy city driving is much more. Not such advanced in tech but reliable , safe and efficient. Very reliable vehicle – Bought this car in 2013 and it is used everyday for work, family transport, weekend outing. Has not skipped a beat, has not had any issues. I get is serviced as per the log book and no major issues when brought in. The only thing I don't like is the boot lid, if you don't lift it all the way up and you're parked on an incline, that boot lid is going to come back down and hit you in the head. Show details

Best value and most reliable car after all – Since 2009 i have switched from brands to brands Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW,Range Rover but Toyota Camry is always in my garage for everyday use. services 3. Cheap body parts and easy to find replacement. 4. It’s still great car even with an old car. A friend of mine had a 16 year old Camry, odometer 220,000km and it is still running well without any dramas. Boot size is my most favourite, better those Audi Q5,Range Rover Evoque,X5 and GLE250 that i had..i prefer the boot separate and Camry has bigger size (I personally feel it provides more room than others)

TOYOTA quality. (no edit option to fix header.) – I bought a 2017 model Camry when it was less than a yr old with very low ks. Model is an Altise. Great reliable car – We bought the Camry HL from new in 2014 to use for family transport and commuting to work. The fuel consumption on average in the last 5 years is at just under 6L Per 100Km. When I go to change over the car I will definitely give the new model Camry a chance.
