I requested quotes from 4 removalist/transport companies to move a large heavy wrought iron entrance door and side panel. I was time constrained and needed timely responses. I did not bother waiting for these two quotes and chose Transcorp for 2 reasons. 1) A professional, detailed and transparent quote. 2) A number of follow ups from a courteous and personable Sales Rep/Relocation Specialist named Lilianne.
On the day of the pickup, I was called by one of the 2 men stating that they were early. I responded that I was not far away. When I arrived at the pickup site, I was warmly greeted by 2 men. From pick up to drop off, the 2 men were awesome. The collaboration, teamwork and banter between us, including the owner of the item I bought from, his son and myself, was electric. We problem solved the challenge of moving an awkward and heavy pair of structures. End to End of 1 hr. If only every experience was as good as this!
Melbourne to Hobart- it was smooth – I used Transcorp to move my household goods from Melbourne to Hobart, and the service exceeded my expectations. Rather disappointed – We chose Transcorp to relocate from Melbourne to Hobart a couple of weeks ago, it was a removalist job our employer funded for us, 4-5 bedroom house. won’t happen and that they know what they are doing. [Name Removed] seemed quite OK on first conversations and once they got the job and as comms continued she became rather rude, talking at me and not to me. She also lied to me, initial quote we received was sent to me at $8549, we decided to add a bit more space and she said to me over the phone that the quote will only go up a couple of hundred dollars more, only to find out our employer received a revised quote directly sent to them at $9809 later, that is not a couple of hundred dollars more, it is $1260! I could not believe this. I hope calls are recorded and management can follow up on this. [Name Removed] also seems almost annoyed for being contacted about anything throughout the processes once the dotted line was signed, rushing to end the call and again, just being rude, also calls seem to drop out at their centre... I cannot believe someone with her attitude can be in Customer Service. I told [Name Removed] from the start that we will be moving back to Melbourne in the near future, surely this is a low hanging fruit to be nice to someone and provide good enough experience to get more and more jobs, at least I would think so… Be aware that the uplift and delivery dates Transcorp provides are ONLY estimates (they tell you that but you’d think moving home has a lot of logistics that depend on things happening a certain date vs just moving a couch) and you won’t know if they are going ahead until 4-4:30pm the day prior, our uplift date was rescheduled at 3pm the day prior and pushed a day forward. If you are using them do not count on those dates not to be disappointed. The staff they use are contractors and not their employees, don’t expect too much care to be given, at the end of the day no one would care about your things as you would. I witnessed them bumping into doors and things here and there, dropping swear words as they do, and you just cringe hoping its nothing more than a scuff. I am glad our furniture isn’t too expensive apart from the odd item, if you have nice things I definitely won’t be recommending them, just manage your expectations. Furniture arrived with chips and scuffs and marks, there were boot marks on pieces of our sauna (why walk or step on it?). Again, manage your expectations and don’t expect your things to arrive as they left.
What a mess – For starters their contractors left things behind. When wrapping breakable kitchen stuff they dropped and broke items. When the load was finally delivered into our new place, what a HUGE mess. Packed so poorly not a box was undamaged. If it wasn't crushed, it was dented, torn and broken. When l rang Transcorp the person l spoke too couldn't have cared less; just said well will have to wait for process to play out to decide IF they will compensate. Appalling service, will NEVER use them again and certainly would not recommend them to anyone.

later when no booking confirmation was received, I rang to check. Oversight, I was told. Email arrived but times weren’t mentioned. I sent an email to point this out. Further email received, confirming times. Red flags already. On the scheduled day of the move…..they don’t turn up. No communication. I had to ring. Apparently truck broken down but driver hadn’t bothered to tell head office. No idea when replacement truck will arrive. No apologies, no compassion. Caused an enormous amount of stress. I cancelled all bookings and found another removalist who came within the hour, thank goodness. Would give zero stars if I could.
Follow-up · Fortunately I had not been asked for a deposit, just a hold on my card. The other removalist was great considering the short notice. It was approximately the same price.

Follow-up · Just to follow up some questions from readers. The guys who packed the container in Brisbane were extremely careful and nothing was damaged or broken on its arrival in Hobart. The furniture arrived within the time frame given and Likewise the guys in Hobart were equally as careful unpacking. To sum up there was absolutely nothing I can complain about.

adjustments, so that part of our move it was basically a stress free time. Shipping availability caused delivery to be a couple of days late, but we were updated along the way, so were ready when the truck arrived at the renewed time. 100% happy with the whole operation.
Booking my move of a 2-bedroom house from Logan to Melbourne was a breeze. Lynne answered all my thousand questions and guided me through the process. The removalists in Logan and Melbourne were diligent, careful, and a pleasure to work with. My furniture arrived without a single scratch. cubic meter) without my presence. Transcorp confirmed delivery date and then changed it - via email. No reason provided. I had to firmly tell them that they misled me & made them change the date so I can be at home. They lost a number of items that were on the inventory. There was no way anything were left in storage because the storage company would have told me. They managed to recover 2 items but lost big white plastic tub of paintings, potteries & other things I collected when I worked in countries that are now conflict zones. How they can lose a big white plastic tub? It's about 100 liter capacity. The items are not expensive but their value are priceless. Probably lost forever. Completely heartbroken. One person working in the operations unit was helpful. Otherwise, shambles. Never again.

Having used Transcorp twice before with no issues they were the first I went to for a move from Pascoe Vale to Footscray. Removal day came and the guys arrived and loaded up. Our goods went into storage for 5 days. On the Saturday (4 hour minimum) the guys had difficulty finding a spot to unload. Time was wasted before unloading could commence.… Read more
The guys did a good job but due to breaks it ran over 4 hours. 2 items were found to be damaged which the guys documented yet Transcorp have no record. Charges keep coming; the latest for $287.07 with no detailed invoice and no consideration for the damaged goods. It seems Transcorp is intent on extracting every penny from this pensioner, with no customer service post-move whatsoever.
After much tooing & froing Transcorp have declined to refund anything because I have deleted a clause on their form of release which relates to me not posting adverse comments on my experience with them i.e. waive my freedom of speech.
Naturally I will have no further dealings with this company. Good luck to you if you do.

more. The packing was sloppy with the tops of my kitchenware in one box and the other bits and pieces in other boxes. When asked whether the quote was for cubic meters, there was no clear answer. The business manager askef for another huge sum when we asked if we could add our old sofa,so we thought we would have to leave it behind. However, the driver of the truck, said he could take the sofa at no extra cost as we really did not have eniugh to fill the truck- he obviously was thinking in cubic meters! Arrived much later than the expected time at the storage facility; bad communication about arrival time. So a sad decline from previous great standards and a terrible experience.

removal service from Adelaide to Sydney and was told that my belongings would be delivered on Saturday between 2–4 pm.
It is now Sunday and there has still been no delivery.
I understand that delays and unexpected situations can happen. What is really frustrating, however, is the complete lack of communication. I have called, sent SMS messages and emails, but I have not received any response or update about where my belongings are or when they will be delivered.
This is extremely unprofessional. If there is a problem or delay, I would at least expect a message or phone call explaining what has happened, confirming that the issue is being dealt with, and providing an updated delivery time.
At the moment, I simply have no information about where my belongings are, which is very concerning.
Please contact me as soon as possible with an update and confirm when the delivery will take place.

had a phone call to let me know when they will be arriving and when arrived loaded up my items into the truck very quickly (but carefully!). It also helps that they are friendly and take good care of my items.
The whole team has been an absolute treat to work with. Changing pick up days and even not having a delivery address until after booking was no hassel.
