Booking was made, cancelled AND refunded within hours. The next day, they came and picked up my box that had another courier's (Startrack) label on it. So they basically stole my box. Fast forward 2 weeks, I get my box back (return to sender) and a few days later after that, they charge me for the booking that was cancelled 2 weeks earlier. Looks like I'm not the only one either. Safe arrival – Booking a parcel online was quite straightforward as was selecting a courier. The cost was competitive. automatically deducted from my account without prior approval or an opportunity to dispute it first. By that stage, naturally no packaging proof or measurement photos had been kept, as the shipment had already been completed weeks earlier.
The carrier later claimed the cartons measured significantly larger due to “bulging and protruding” and used the attached photo as evidence. Based on this, the charged weight increased from 39 kg to 60 kg, resulting in a substantial additional charge after the original shipping cost had already been deducted.
What’s frustrating is that no photos or verification were requested at the time of booking when the dimensions were originally declared and accepted for quoting. Only after the extra amount was deducted was I asked to prove the original measurements from over a month earlier.
The whole process felt unfair and gave the impression of a very misleading and opportunistic approach toward customers.

hadn’t selected the ATL (Authority to Leave) option. I was told yes, twice.
After dropping it off, I checked the tracking and saw “No Signature Required.” I called again and was told that this was incorrect and a signature would be required. I asked for that in writing — because at this point, I didn’t trust verbal assurances — and the agent said the international team would email it.
Five minutes later, the same agent called back saying they actually couldn’t confirm it in writing because their terms and conditions say it’s at the driver’s discretion. This completely contradicted the two previous confirmations I received. The item was worth $1800, and their only advice was to “rush to the depot and try to get it back” so I could send it with someone else.
Thankfully, the team at FedEx were helpful and confirmed they do offer signature-required service, and that Transdirect had booked it incorrectly. They thankfully found a workaround for me. When I re-created the booking just now for this review, I noticed the ATL option only appears as a tick-box on the second page — but their terms hide the fact that couriers may still leave it at their discretion.
Overall, I was misinformed multiple times, given contradictory answers, refused written confirmation, and left to sort out the problem myself. FedEx fixed the issue — not Transdirect.

with an outrageous $285.13 in EXTRA fees. Transdirect falsely claimed the package cubic weighed 40.25kg and slapped on an "Oversize Admin Surcharge"—completely baseless.
We have clear photographic evidence of the actual size and weight of the parcel. Even the proof-of-delivery photo shows our standard A6 shipping label on a reasonably sized box, confirming the shipment was not oversized.
We immediately sent a detailed email with all supporting evidence requesting a correction and refund. That was followed by three additional emails over a week—none of which received a single reply. No acknowledgement, no investigation, not even a courtesy response.
Transdirect was quick to take our money and apply unjustified charges, yet they completely ignored a legitimate complaint supported by clear evidence.
We are now being forced to escalate this to NSW Small Business Commissioner and lodge a report with ACCC.
This experience has been nothing short of infuriating. Avoid the hassle and disappointment—go with a more reputable and accountable courier service.

weight). Transdirect later billed 124 kg but, after multiple written requests, couldn’t provide any images, measurements, or scan data from the carrier to substantiate the change.
Their emails state they don’t hold imagery or measurement records and asked me to supply my own photos/specs instead. In my view, if a surcharge is applied, the carrier/broker should provide verifiable proof.
What I asked for: dated photos or dimensional scan/weight records. What I received: none.
I’m disputing the charge as unsubstantiated and have escalated externally.

“re-measurement” claiming the parcel was larger and heavier than declared, resulting in higher volumetric weight charges.
The main issue is the lack of transparency and timing. If there was a genuine discrepancy, it should have been flagged at the time of handling, not weeks later when the parcel is long gone and impossible for the customer to verify.
I requested evidence and a proper breakdown of the re-measurement, but the response was generic and did not provide any meaningful proof or documentation to justify the adjustment.
The process feels completely one-sided, with adjustments made after the fact and very limited ability for customers to dispute them.
Very poor experience overall and I will not be using this service again, nor will I recommend it at all.

This lack of communication and accountability has caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience to our operations. Based on this experience, we will not use Transdirect and Courier Please for future shipments and will prioritise service providers with stronger reliability and customer service standards. No revised quote was issued and no approval was requested before debiting my PayPal account.

assurances but no concrete update. By Friday, the pallet still had not arrived. We were then informed - only after we called them yet again - that delivery would not occur until the following Monday.
This shipment was required for a conference event on Saturday and Sunday. The failure to deliver on time compromised over six months of planning, preparation, and investment. As a direct result, we were unable to proceed with one of our scheduled events. The reputational and operational damage caused by this delay cannot be overstated. They then had the audacity to charge a redirection fee to send it back to Melbourne, despite failing to deliver the item in the first place.
Time-sensitive freight requires reliability, transparency, and accountability. Unfortunately, Transdirect demonstrated none of these qualities. The lack of urgency, poor communication, and failure to meet a straightforward interstate delivery timeline between Melbourne and Sydney is entirely unacceptable.
I would strongly caution anyone relying on deadlines or critical event logistics to consider alternative providers.
