Great travel agent but company support is horrendous
OS holiday cancelled because of Covid. We sought refund of Travel Insurance when it became obvious there was no claim available. Insurer (NIB) eventually approved refund after a couple of months and advise that refund was paid to Travel Managers in September, but we still haven't received the funds. Would never use Travel Managers or NIB again.
Worst experience in my life
Booked an overseas trip with an agent named Luke at travel managers Australia but due to Covid was cancelled but fees were gouged at every single corner as they blamed hotels, venues, tours, 3rd party book agents etc despite proving after contacting each place that not one charged fees.
Avoid but if you don't, research and don't take facevalue whatsoever.
A terrible experience with Travel Managers Australia
We booked two cruises with Deborah Duncan (Travel Managers Australia). She has been a nightmare to deal with - no communication whatsoever. She stated on our documents that we could change our cruise at a cost of $100 per person. It turns out that this was a lie on her part. I would never book with her or this company again. She is unprofessional, unreliable, and arrogant.

Chris organised our honeymoon to South America. We did the Inka trail to Machu Picchu, explored the Bolivian salt flats (AMAZING!) and other great places we would not have thought of had we organised this trip on our own. As Chris knew our itinerary and was our contact throughout the trip, he also helped me feel safe exploring this continent.
Could not do it better myself
Michelle from Craigieburn is always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Even when things went wrong twice while we were overseas - the local companies' fault - she fixed it immediately after our panicked email, so all went well after all. Saves me a lot of own running around, researching, and it's a pleasure planning and brainstorming with her! Excellent service, well done!

I feel it is time to acknowledge our Personal Travel Manager Karen Raeburn of Townsville TravelManagers whom we cannot live without when arranging travel itineraries. Karen exhibits diligence in every aspect of planning of each holiday we embark on, her professionalism is second to none. Previous holidays include England, Ireland, France, Czech Republic, Canada, America, China and Japan and nearing completion arrangements to cruise 8 Baltic countries with a connecting flight to Venice for a 7 country cruise of the Mediterranean. Every ...itinerary included where necessary flights, visas, hotels, accomodation, cruises, train, coach and transport to and fro from airports etc. all done methodically and meticulously with the expertise karen has attained in her chosen profession. Being of mature age I was a hesitant traveller but look forward to our next adventure with gusto and confidence as we are in the best hands. Nothing is to much trouble to Karen, every intricate detail is utilised to make sure we have a safe and comfortable trip. Would of had a better planned holiday if we had done it ourselves
I would not recommend anyone to use this company. Mistake after mistake was made with incorrect pick up times, incorrect check ins, booking us on 6am flights to have a 3pm check in and have to wait around for hours etc. The worst mistake was booking us on a too short connection time, which we flagged we were concerned about but assured by the travel agent [name removed] that this wouldn't be a issue. As a result of this too short connect all our luggage was lost for 4 days and the agent offered absolutely no help to rectify.
I would highly recommend no one to use this company, I would of done a better job booking it myself.
Booked overseas flight and tours, cost me a lot of money with tours I paid for and did not use. paid a lot of extra money with internal flights luggage should have been paid online not at airport, correct advice from Travel managers would have saved me lot of money. have a problem with insurance Travel managers wont even answer my emails regarding this now that holiday is over. They need more knowledge about Europe.
Earlier this year we had the pleasure of booking our Asian holiday through Zora at Travel Managers, Brisbane.
Zora was very considerate, obliging, friendly and very professional.
Our holiday was very well organised, accommodation was great and our tours were well coordinated.
Zora`s inside knowledge at the locations provided tips and guidance that helped when moving through transit.
We can`t thank Zora enough for her help and will certainly be seeking Zora again for any future travel. :)
So much better than travel agents in shopping centres and easier than doing it yourself
My daughter had booked her European holiday with Carla, from Travel Managers, Bulleen (Vic) and after an unsecsseful experience with Flight Centre (having to wait, never getting the same person you originally spoke to) I booked my Honoulu holiday by myself (not hard when it is just one place to stay and one flight to organise). But when I was looking at a trip to vietnam and cambodia I was unsure of the best way to book multiple flights in and out of each of these countries well as get the best price for accommodation. Most of our commuicaton...was via email with Carla suggesting a number of different options for accommodation at each city we were staying. Some, were her top suggestions, some did not suit what we wanted, but nothing was too much trouble and Carla continued to give us a better deal than we could get through the on line booking companies (ie Expedia, Wotif, etc). We met only once, and that was to pick up our itinerary and accommodation vouchers (we could also have had these emailed to us, but I just wanted to make sure we had them before taking off on our trip. Would we use Carla from Travel Managers again; absolutely, so much easier than a regular travel agent and so many choices from what we had access to. Thank you Carla

Poor service - felt forgotten
Booked a 75 day cruise with these folks in 2016 for travel in 2017. We'd followed an agent we'd used before as she moved companies, unfortunately she left Travel Managers (TM) before the travel date. Our booking was handed over to another agent with TM, and the service was quite poor. For examples I had to ask about visa requirements, I had to insist on the agent getting visa's for China, most, if not all contact was initiated by myself, promised documentation such as luggage tags and boarding tickets were not delivered - had to print off mysel...f. We did not even receive a "bon voyage" message from the agent or company! Given the commission TM would earn on a holiday of around $60k, would have expected a lot better service. Part of the problem seems to be the fact the agents are mobile, there is no office you can visit so you just wait. Won't be using again...

How much do you have to pay upfront? I know the air tickets will need to be paid but what about accommodations, tours and car hire if I am in Europe for a month and travelling around?
Do I pay a deposit on these items and pay the rest when I have reached the destinations?

Hi Gabby. The payment deadlines and amounts payable will vary based on your holiday arrangements. Holidays booked through TravelManagers would need to be paid in full before departure. TravelManagers has 600 personal travel managers across the country who operate their own small businesses. Your personal travel manager will provide you with this information at the time of quote. For the most part, correct. If there is anything payable direct to the supplier, your personal travel manager would let you know. An example of this is resort fees, which are common in places like Hawaii. When you book your holiday through TravelManagers, you pay everything before departure (aside from those minor exceptions) into our separate client trust account until we make payment to the suppliers.
