Discrimination by nationality – They have restrictions to service some nationalities. And don’t give the reason why, even if you in Australia on a permanent bases. I felt upset to get respond that they will not serve me because of my passport.

First Timers Made Easy – Hannah was very easy to deal with when making my first ever cruise booking. Very friendly and helpful. Emma was very fast and reliable at getting the information out to us. The cruise to PNG was brilliant. A bit of a culture shock for me which made it even more enjoyable. Ghosted – I have been ghosted by the Holiday Wizard )HW) who was handling my booking. The whole process has been confusing. The Company uses different names, ICE, Discover365, OVC, I phoned to book an advertised NYE package for Sydney, however HW could not find. hard to understand on the phone and after 5 calls, as HW needed to check information, I was very confused. HW demanded the deposit before sending out the quote, I should have not paid it but I did and that meant I was trapped. After many requests I received the quote that had a membership fee that I did not want. I found the NYE price $600 cheaper but to cancel it would cost lots of $$$ in fees. The Invoice sent to me by HW (their invoice from Viva Holidays showing their $659.70 commission) states the balance is to be paid by 28/08 but HW insisting balance of whole package is not due 20/09. I can see there will be problems ahead. I tried to phone Travel Megastore to speak to someone else but had no luck explaining my dilemma. I so wish I had not used this company.

satisfaction. This has restored my faith in Cruise Mega Store and I am willing to book with them in the future. Though Cruise Mega Store do not control the pricing of Shore Excursions - they do recommend booking through them and I hope that as a result of this they do look into the excessive charging and ensure they are more reasonably priced in the future or that they look into using another tour booking company. Thank you Mega Cruise Store for your prompt and professional action in this matter. End of edited feedback.

Cruise Mega Store (Shore Excursion Group/Travel Megastore) overcharge on tours booked through them by up to 65%. They claim lower prices than cruise lines and by far that is not the case. Napier prison tour overcharged by 65% as was $33 but actual price should have been $20, In the Footsteps of the Lord of the Rings overcharged 40% which equated to $126 overcharge and Hobbiton Express overcharged by 14% which equated to $79. As they CLAIM lowest price guaranteed I have requested a refund of these overcharges twice now and so far they have ignored me. We missed two ports due to severe whether conditions and as per their terms they FINALLY refunded us the tours but it was a painful and drawn out process that they delayed and made us provide evidence (should NOT be necessary for US to give them evidence - do they not have contacts with the cruise line they can verify missed ports with???). I can say I did eventually get the money back though. If you want to book a tour go directly through the cruise line or the tour company themselves as you will save yourself hundreds as I unfortunately found out. Also - you can never get them on the phone as they are not located in Australia and the office was always closed when I called. They will however reply to emails (unless that email is asking for a refund of overcharges as I am still awaiting a response to this).

November 12th 2019 Update: cruise booking for 2021

Booking was done efficiently and very professionally by Isabella Clarke. We are cruising to Tonga and back from Brisbane. As we have not done the cruise yet cannot say whether it will meet our expectations but hope it will. Until we actually travel we are unable to answer any more of the questions. We were extremely happy with the service and the speed with which Isabella handled our booking we will most certainly book with her again, Isabella showed her enthusiasm for the job she was doing and we will be recommending her to our friends and relatives when they are next booking their cruises. Our very heartfelt thanks to you Isabella.

Very recommendable company to deal with – I booked a cruise for 4 people bound for Vanuatu/New Caledonia for next year, thru the help of one of their agent Ms. Elena Tchepourko, she made sure that we got all of our request as this is the 1st time for our friend to be on a cruise. My consultation – Great staff, Eti Agarwal. She was clear, fast and sufficient in giving information. She understood my needs very clearly and responded accordingly. My waiting time is horrible and I waiting about 1 hour to reach Eti. This happens every time I contact Mariott vacation club. Scammers? – I got one of those unsolicited SMS texts too. So dubious...after all, I have never dealt with Travel Megastore before so how do they know when my birthday is, let alone who I am?! Certainly not a good way to gain business as I, for one, do not make a point of falling for scams.

Friendly and helpful service – I have been very frustrated with many cancellations (8 so far) but everyone has tried to be helpful in trying to sort out the web of Future Cruise Credits, Future Travel Credits, Future Cruise Deposits, transfer of bookings, refunds, certificate redemption/return etc. Through it all staff have been helpful and respectful. financial team would write me an email. This is a scam. Its just an excuse to get off the phone and they never write back. They tried to sell me a new programme and take more money from me instead. These people need to be be apprehended for their underhanded business tactics. A senior staff member told me on the phone that her Dad died of Covid and were all struggling. I found myself apologising to her... but after getting on the phone I understood they simply got away with not addressing my complaint. It's not professional nor is it fair to use guilt as a tactic to take peoples money with no service or product being reciprocated. I am cornered with these people . All I can do is tell you not to use them, trust them or even entertain them. I really hope the Australian Department of Fair Trade does something about this company. Never, ever use this company, please!

Unsolicited text messages and dubious "offers" – Received an unsolicited SMS from this company with a birthday "offer" of $365 travel credit. Very dubious practices involved, the number the SMS came from has well over 100 complaints on just one site. They say they are IATA accredited yet provide absolutely no details.

Excellent – We were booked to leave Brisbane on the Pacific Dawn on the 14/03/20. Unfortunately the cruise was cancelled due to coronavirus. I phoned Cruise Megastore and spoke to Matt Wilson to see if we could get a refund. Matt contacted P&O on our behalf, forwarded an email containing a P&O form for us to complete in order to get a refund. Matt was extremely efficient and helped with any queries we had. Easy booking – No extra fees. I was called immediately upon online enquire. Naveen Kumar was extremely helpful. Booked 2 rooms next to each other on Sapphire Princess 3 day cruise.
