Overall sentiment regarding Trip.com is clearly divided based on user experience. Customers whose trips proceed without disruption generally praise the platform for its competitive pricing, user-friendly interface, and convenient all-in-one booking system. However, a significant number of travellers who encountered cancellations, schedule changes, or needed to modify bookings report frustrating customer service interactions and difficulties securing refunds. Consumers are advised to carefully review fare rules and consider the potential complexities of third-party bookings before finalising travel plans.
The flight ticket price is not cheaper compared to the other websites and the price keeps rising after refreshing the searches. I decide to book my flight with others.
I was wary about using Trip.com as I hadn't heard of them but they were the cheapest option. I've had to book a multiple country holiday, lots of hotels etc and in the meantime one of my flights got cancelled. Their prices/offers, the layout and ease of use of their app, their personalised customer service with both emails and phone calls have all been amazing! 100% recommend! Show reply
Generally, it is easy to use. However, occasionally there are instances when the final price with "flyer exclusive" discount is higher than the first displayed price with other discounts like the "Diamond Tier Deal, China Tier Deal". Also, on certain instances when the company holds it's "MEGA Sale", the final price for the same product is… Read more · 1
actually higher than the sales price with other discounts. Interestingly, there is no means for selecting the best discounts that was present before the"flyer exclusive or MEGA Sale" discount,

Best travel app – I have been using Trip for a year and I can comfortably say it is one of the best travel apps which I cannot recommend enough. From the products range, air, train, and hotels to user experience, every aspect has been designed perfectly for a travelers needs. Payment and refunds are handled smoothly with minimal fuss. I had a very disappointing experience with Trip.com regarding a payment dispute. Instead of providing clear evidence to resolve the matter, Trip.com sent me a threatening message accusing me of disputing a finalized transaction “without a valid reason.” The email went far beyond a normal customer-service response, warning that they could cancel… Read more
bookings, restrict my account, contact law enforcement and government authorities, and potentially affect my credit history. This kind of intimidating language is completely inappropriate when a customer has legitimately raised a transaction dispute with their financial institution.
Rather than focusing on resolving the underlying issue professionally and providing supporting documentation, Trip.com chose to threaten and pressure the customer. The message left me with even less confidence in the company and its approach to customer disputes.
Based on this experience, I would be extremely cautious about using Trip.com again. Poor dispute handling, unnecessary threats, and very disappointing customer service.

I often find good deals from Trip.com so this is the first app I check each time I need to book anything. Their Customer Support Team is quick. I received very fast response each time I had a problem with my bookings. I didn’t know that the Flexi-cancel option was included in my ticket purchase for $149. When I wrote to ask for a refund, I was told that this cannot be done as the tickets had been issued. But the flights are for mid-November and I don’t see why I cannot get a refund of the $149 Flexi-cancel option. I am disappointed and will not recommend your company to anyone. Show details

You promised to resolve my refund request by July 27th, but unilaterally delayed it to July 31st, and then again to August 15th. To this day, the cancellation fee has not even been calculated. support dozens of times, communication was completely ineffective. Multiple promised deadlines passed without a single update or notification regarding the delay. Furthermore, the support provided in Korean was deeply inadequate, with representatives unable to properly comprehend basic inquiries.
This gross negligence and failure to uphold basic service standards have caused significant financial and psychological strain. I am now preparing to take formal legal action and lodge a official complaint with consumer protection authorities regarding this matter.

Trip.com provide untrue product information on website. capital airport, even they have hips of flights from Shanghai to PEK, they would not be able to change, each time they want me to pay from $291 to $888.21 ... as I requested several times on the same day, the charge fee differences are all not the same. I have to give up.
This is a cheating market type : TripFlex is not flexible, and the ticket classes & conditions are not listed clearly, we are not provided information if we missed the flight, any chance for us to on board next flight again or etc.. Any way, after you paid the money, they do not care what you need, they will charge you big money and provide unlimited excuses , which make you feel being trapped!
All customer services are speaking poor English, repeated multiple times and do not know what to do.

the first one here but 7 already on another web site 7th Follow-Up – No Resolution I never expected that I would have to publish a seventh follow-up, but Trip.com has once again forced me to do so. After my previous review, Trip.com publicly replied once again: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience… Read more
caused and assure you that we will get back to you directly. Your feedback is highly valued, and we are taking it seriously."
This is exactly the same commitment that has been made repeatedly over the past several months.
Once again, no one contacted us.
No email.
No explanation.
No answers.
No progress.
At this stage, what concerns me most is no longer the medical refund itself, but the complete lack of follow-through after Trip.com's repeated public commitments.
Every time a new review is published, the response is identical.
Every time, Trip.com promises to contact us directly.
Every time, nothing happens.
As Sarah's uncle, I have personally helped my family manage this case from the very beginning.
I am also a Trip.com Diamond Member, and I never imagined that a loyal customer would have to publish seven public follow-ups simply to obtain answers.
This case concerns the emergency hospitalization of a 5-month-old baby the day before departure. Every document requested has been provided. Trip.com confirmed that it forwarded our medical documents, the Power of Attorney and passport copies to Turkish Airlines.
Despite all this, we are still waiting for:
Turkish Airlines' written decision; an explanation of the reduction from EUR 1,443.86 to EUR 156.04; replies to our emails; and above all, a real person willing to take ownership of this case.
Because of the way this matter has been handled, I have decided to suspend all my future flight and hotel bookings with Trip.com until this case is resolved properly.
This is not a decision I take lightly. It reflects the loss of confidence I now have in Trip.com's customer service.
I am not asking for special treatment.
I am asking Trip.com to honour its own public commitments and finally provide the transparency and professionalism that every customer deserves.
I will gladly publish a positive final update if Trip.com resolves this matter fairly. Until then, I will continue to share factual updates so that other travellers can make informed decisions.

Booked this flight because it was advertised as earning 3,900 Qantas Points and 40 Status Credits, but the ticket issued was the lowest fare that earns neither. Very misleading. I purchased a Vietjet "Deluxe" ticket through Trip.com for an upcoming flight to Ho Chi Minh City. A key, advertised benefit of this specific premium fare class is the ability to make flight and class changes for free, paying only the fare difference. When I contacted Trip.com support to process an upgrade to Business Class, they completely… Read more
refused to honor the terms of the ticket they sold me. Instead of charging just the fare difference, the agent attempted to impose an unauthorized $249 processing fee, quoting a total of over $1,241. When I provided direct screenshots and links to the airline's official Deluxe fare rules proving the change should be fee-free, the support agents deployed unreasonable delay tactics. They stated it would take 24 to 72 hours for "management to investigate" a publicly available airline policy. Worse, they told me that because they could not guarantee the ticket price wouldn't increase during their 72-hour delay, my only options were to either wait and risk a massive price hike, or pay the full, unjustified $1,241 upfront right then while they investigated. This is highly unconscionable conduct. Trip.com is actively holding fares hostage, refusing to honor the clear inclusions of the premium tickets they sell, and attempting to shift the financial risk of their slow internal bureaucracy onto the consumer. I am currently escalating this matter as a breach of Australian Consumer Law (misleading and deceptive conduct regarding the promised features of a purchased service) and pursuing a formal chargeback dispute. Buyers beware: paying for a flexible or premium ticket through Trip.com means nothing if their customer service team refuses to let you use the benefits.

Client-Oriented Service – Trip emailed, but also called to advise of changes in scheduled departure . Somehow, Trip arranged for use of airline VIP lounge and VIP at immigration and customs. Trip also negotiated with the hotel to allow me to amend my booking midway through my week-long stay at the hotel. Absolutely professional and customer-focused. Show details · 2
Follow-up · Did more Flight and Hotel bookings with Trip.com recently. So disappointed to see that the firm has now replaced contact personnel with chatbots. I had a couple of questions that I wanted to ask and I rang the phone numbers listed on its website but I could not talk to a 'real' person. Personal service was the main reason why I have been a loyal customer for so long. This is no longer available.

You are much better than Traveloka. We bought the same airline tickets on Trip and Travekoa. Trip was able to issue the ticket immediately after payment completed. Traveloka took 48 hours to issue the ticket and wanted to charge a fee to make a small correction on the name on the ticket. We had to contact the airline to make the correction without any fees. Through my contact this week with Trip.com, I have changed my opinions about their service level. I was advised by Trip.com that my booked accommodation overseas was cancelled by the hotel.
