I have spoken to MORE THAN 10 DIFFERENT AGENTS, and every single one of them does the exact same thing: copy-paste a scripted response telling me to “please be patient and wait”. That’s it. No action. No escalation. No accountability. Just empty words and excuses. I’ve been waiting OVER A MONTH for my refund. A MONTH. This is not a small delay —… Read more
this is unacceptable and financially damaging. Because of their failure to act, I am losing money, and the ticket I need to rebook is getting more expensive by the day. Their delays are directly costing me. None of the agents take ownership. None of them actually do anything. They just pass you around, repeat the same script, and close the chat. It honestly feels like they are trained to stall customers until they give up. This company has zero respect for customers’ time or money. If you need help after payment, forget it — you are completely on your own. Their “support” exists only to pretend they are helping while doing absolutely nothing. I would never recommend Trip.com to anyone. If you value your money, your time, or your sanity, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Once they have your money, good luck getting it back. Worst service. Worst agents. Worst experience. I will never use Trip.com again
This has been the worst platform I’ve ever used to book flights, based on what just happened to me. My husband and I booked separate tickets to Bali because I needed a 20kg checked baggage allowance. We booked well in advance, but now, with only two weeks left, I suddenly received an email saying my flight had been moved to the next day. My… Read more
husband’s flight, however, remained unchanged.
I contacted Trip.com, feeling extremely frustrated, as this meant we would have to travel separately. I also raised concerns about how I would manage accommodation and transport in Australia upon arrival if our flights were on different days.
So called agent explained that the airline was no longer operating the flight I had originally booked, which is why it was moved to the next day. I then mentioned my husband’s booking. The agent asked for his booking number, name, and email. I felt suspicious that they might change his flight too , and right after I provided the details, he received an email saying his flight had also been changed.
Further, insisting me to cancel the booking and get the refund and book again for higher rate if I am not happy with next day flight. People book their flight way in advance for a reason right, if they can simply change passengers flight as they want and asking then to cancel and book again in a higher rate if they are not happy.... I don't understand how they operate the business
It was very unprofessional and unethical, I never ever thought that any ticket agent would do such

This was my first time booking a domestic flight in Australia through Trip.com, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. After completing the trip, I deleted the app and feel it’s necessary to share this publicly — both to help others and to encourage the company to improve. unable to rebook through Trip.com. Although the service agent I spoke with was polite and patient, he seemed constrained by Trip.com’s own system limitations — whether in communicating with the airline or within their technical platform itself — and ultimately couldn’t resolve the issue.
In the end, I had to contact the airline directly and complete the switch to another flight on their platform, luckily that works out fine. Or it will be a disaster if I follow the customer service official (trip.com) advice to just cancel the flight and get the refund for the ticket.
This experience led me to a clear conclusion: avoid booking flights through Trip.com, especially at a time when flight cancellations are frequent due to rising fuel costs. Having an intermediary platform does not make the process easier — it actually makes it more complicated.
I’ve also noticed that Trip.com is aggressively advertising across various social media platforms. I would strongly suggest redirecting some of that energy and investment toward improving operational capability and customer service.
What was even more baffling was that another Trip.com customer service representative (based who-knows-where) called me at 3 a.m., just hours before my 7 a.m. flight. The purpose of the call was to obtain a recorded confirmation from me — seemingly for legal risk management — because I had rebooked directly with the airline myself.
This level of service is, frankly, quite shocking.

Searched a flight for today. Booked flight. Then on view it was for 4 weeks away. I contacted them within minutes of noticing the issue. Both phone numbers didn't work. I then had to chat to a bot. Finally got to what is supposed to be a human. I explained the issue. They would not entertain any means of a change of date, rebooking etc without charging over $100 for the change in addition to the new $222 ticket. They would not assist at all Show details

Advertised price differs to Payment price Using Trip.com app, we were attracted to a hotel by the advertised price. Just when I was ready to click pay the price had inadvertently gone up by $500! updating their price and it isn’t something Trip.com has a control over. 24 hours after my complaint, the advertised price was still $500 cheaper than the payment price.
Trip.com is an agency for hotel booking. The booking page and payment page are all within the Trip.com page so it’s not right of Trip.com to blame it on respective hotels’ fluctuating prices.
Trip.com offered me a mere $60 as compensation for this misleading error. I choose not to accept it as I don’t think it’s going to change any behavior or error fixing in Trip.com platform to not mislead customers in the future.
Buyers beware!

The price match guarantee is a joke. They just keep coming up with different reasons to reject the claims even though in my case, the cancellation policy is the same, payment method is the same (Google Pay), the number of guest (1 or 2) has no impact on the room price yet they can just blatantly concoct excuses to reject your claims Show details

I booked a flight through Trip.com (Hanoi – Shenzhen – Melbourne) and paid a total of AUD 637.70, including AUD 416.10 in taxes. I requested cancellation well before departure. show which taxes were non-refundable, and said they could only share what the airline told them — yet then asked me to contact the airline directly for details. This is extremely irresponsible, as my booking and refund are being handled by Trip.com, not by me directly with the airline.
Their own website says cancellations follow the airline’s policy, and the airline’s published rules state unused government taxes should be refunded. Despite this, Trip.com withheld most of my taxes without proof.
They kept delaying my cancellation status as “awaiting cancellation fee” while giving changing timelines (1 day, 2 days, then 1 week). Customer service was slow, inconsistent, and avoided accountability.
I would not recommend Trip.com for flight bookings if you may need a refund. Very poor transparency and support.

were even issued. Instead of helping me correct the mistake promptly, I was told to pay a fare difference that was higher than the original ticket price. This feels like an unfair and exploitative practice designed to make money rather than assist customers. Very disappointing experience. This app appears to be deliberately misleading and unfair to consumers. I am being charged twice for the same flight simply for changing the travel date of one segment, and despite raising this issue within seconds of booking, the company refused to provide any resolution or refund. In addition, the app consistently advertises low flight prices that are either unavailable or suddenly increase at the booking stage. This practice is deceptive and creates a false impression of affordability. I will be raising this with Australian fair trade to see if this helps. Based on my experience, I strongly caution others against using this app, as its pricing and billing practices are not transparent and cannot be relied upon.

This booking experience with Trip.com has been extremely misleading and unacceptable. I booked a hotel at a displayed price of $1800. This amount was clearly shown as the main booking price. However, later on the same day, I received an email stating that I would need to pay an additional $900 directly to the hotel upon arrival. Only after going… Read more
back to the listing did I discover that this extra charge was mentioned in small fine print, while the headline price remained $1800. This is not transparent pricing. The real total cost of the hotel was $2700, not $1800.
What makes this even worse is that I have contacted Trip.com for an entire day regarding this issue and they have completely ignored my complaint. The hotel also refuses to cancel the booking, leaving me with no resolution.
As a result, I am now preparing to formally report this matter to the Consumer Affairs Department for misleading pricing and unfair business practices.
This is a classic example of drip pricing and deceptive advertising. If the full price had been clearly shown upfront, I would never have made this booking.
I strongly warn other customers to be extremely cautious when booking through this platform.

Their change fee is straight up not fair at all. I wanted to change the date of my ticket and they say if the fair is higher they charge me the difference but NOT refund me if the difference is lower.
