Great car to drive around town. The owner brought the car to the airport and then at the return picked up the car from the departure lanes so it was the smoothest car rental ever. recommended. They basically solved all the issues that you have with the big rental companies.
1- Get the car you actually want not a similar model 2- Get it delivered wherever you want. No need to go pick it up. 3- No need to clean it on return. just make sure that its not extremely dirty in which case it would be rude not to clean it.
Having a vehicle delivery + pickup to accommodation address was invaluable for a few days interstate to attend an afternoon wedding. Owner was very friendly & helpful with how to use the Turo App adding photos & license etc. The car was immaculate he even added a bottle of water. the best surf, shoot in the water and drive all over to meet friends. We did a lot of kilometers and the car was super comfortable the whole time. Traveling with my bestie and her 3 year old daughter was easy too. The baby seat was already in the car, which was such a relief and saved us from having to bring it over from New Zealand.

Heavily dissuade use of this service. They released a 5.0 V8 Mustang to my family with bald rear tyres. Then charged me $120 for returning the car at the 1:30pm cut off time. Follow-up · Have now used Turo back home for a couple of interstate trips and it has been effortless. On both recent occasions, we have hired EV’s and have had a pleasant experience for both. Incurred a minor airport parking fee which was readily repaid by the host - discussed prior so no surprises when I picked up the car. Even thinking of becoming a host now myself!

THE HIGHEST level of protection TURO and CRAWFORD & CO have been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with, dodging our claim at every opportunity. Our car was taken off road and was significantly damaged requiring a full respray, new parts and other repairs. There own assessor agreed and recommended the car requires repair and instead of agreeing to just fix the issue we are over a month later, and they are trying to find each and every clause to try and avoid the cover that we paid for in good faith. If you value your vehicle, steer clear. We have now had to engage a costly lawyer, as well as engage AFCA to settle our dispute. This organisation should be banned.
Follow-up · After immense pressure and legal pressure an outcome was negotiated as I had significant proof - the process was not easy and I’d never use the platform again. They attempt to get around insurance regulations by offering protection not insurance.

Will never use this service again, just go to the name brand hire companies, 100 times easier, all fees are upfront and honest, I hired at the start of April 2026 and it's now June 2026 and I'm still incurring more fees. Turo allows fraudulent toll invoices to be passed on to customers. I was charged an $800 toll invoice for Sydney tolls during a period when the vehicle was not in Sydney. I was required to personally investigate and prove the invoice was fake. Key, easy to spot red flags: * Invoice was issued 3 months after the trip ended * $800 in toll charges… Read more
for a short rental period * A quick Google search shows the invoice number did not match the format on the toll providers website * The toll provider confirmed there were no toll charges linked to the vehicle
Despite these clear red flags, the invoice was still passed on to me as valid, and I had to spend significant time disputing it myself.
While the charge was eventually refunded after escalation, the experience raises serious concerns about how easily fraudulent invoices can be submitted through the platform without proper verification.
Customers should not be responsible for investigating or disproving charges of this nature.
The car owner involved remains active on the platform despite this blatant scam attempt.
