Sheepskin boots pruchased in November 2025 but not worn until May 2026, sole pulled away from upper sheepskin, but given warranty is only 3 months, not covered, even once I explained the situation that the boots were only worn for approx 2 months they deemed it being normal wear and tear

As the boots were completely unwearable due to the fault, I immediately contacted customer service to request a refund. I clearly explained the issue and provided both a photo and a video demonstrating exactly what was happening. It was obvious that the design of the boot opening, combined with the rigid TPU material, prevented me from physically putting the boots on.

In response, I was told this was not considered a fault. The company explained that the boots are made from a rigid, non-stretch TPU material and were manufactured according to specification, suggesting the issue was due to my foot shape. Absolutely ridiculous and offensive. The problem was not the overall size of the boot, it was the design of the opening. Even with a standard size 9 foot trying to enter a size 10 boot, there simply isn’t enough room to achieve the angle needed for entry. It’s similar to buying a shirt with a neck hole that only allows half your head through. Even if the shirt is the correct size, you still can’t wear it without ripping the material to get your head through. A product can be manufactured exactly as designed and still be unusable in practice.

Despite providing clear video evidence, I was told I was not entitled to a refund because the boots were a clearance item covered by a strict no refund policy. Throughout the entire interaction, the company repeatedly relied on its clearance policy rather than addressing the central issue, that the boots could not physically be worn without ripping no fault of my own.

One response stated that I had placed my order after “seeing this information” regarding the material and return policy. However, none of that information stated, or even suggested, that the boot opening was so restrictive that a person with a standard-sized foot may be physically unable to put the boots on. No reasonable customer could have anticipated that from the product description.

The most disappointing part of the experience was being told: “If you placed an order after seeing this information, as an adult you should be aware that returns and exchanges are not permitted.”

I found this comment unnecessarily patronising, unprofessional and plain rude. Throughout the entire interaction I remained polite and respectful, and I have the full email chain to demonstrate that.

After multiple emails and only after I advised that I would seek assistance from Fair Trading, the company agreed to refund the purchase price as a “one-off goodwill gesture”. However, they still insisted that I pay almost $24 in return postage, approximately 35% of the purchase price, for boots that I was never able to wear. I refused this as it puts me at a loss. I also raised Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees regarding goods that are not of acceptable quality or fit for purpose. Rather than addressing this point, I was simply told the matter was closed and that no further responses would be provided.

This entire experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. My concern was consistently reframed as though I simply wanted to return a clearance item, when in reality I was trying to resolve what I believe to be a genuine product design issue. I will not be purchasing from UGG Express again and am now forced to spend additional precious time lodging a Fair Trading complaint in an attempt to recover the return postage plus full refund for a product that I could not physically wear.

The Ugg boots I bought from Ugg Express came apart at the seam after 9 months. The company said this was normal wear and tear. I hoped they would have higher expectations for their products. Sheepskin boots should last years. Thus, I do not recommend their products.

When only offered a replacement pair of shoes rather than a refund I requested assurances around Australian Consumer Law in case the shoes broke again and was not only told ACL didn't apply but was also sent the following condescending comment "We hope you thoroughly review the relevant legal provisions before asserting your rights". I still haven't recieved my replacement pair of shoes. To follow on from this unprofessional customer service, two days ago I recieved an email asking to verify a 5 star review for a lambskin rug I didn't purchase or write up. I can now see they have posted this 5 star review with my initials on their website as an unverified review.

After ten months wearing around the house on carpet and occasional walking on the deck and patio - one sole has split right through. Uggboot Express advise they’re not covered by warranty and it’s classed as fair wear and tear. Local shoe repairs disagree and say the sole is faulty with air bubbles in the rubber. After contacting customer service, I was met with a string of shifting excuses: first that sizing had changed over the years, then that I had measured incorrectly, and finally that I should deduct 1cm for fluff compression. None of this made sense, especially since I provided photographic evidence, a time-stamped size chart from 2020, and proof that the same sizing is advertised today. Instead of acknowledging a clear manufacturing error, they refused to accept responsibility or offer a prepaid return label. The most frustrating part was how dismissive and condescending the responses were-at one point, comparing the sizing of slippers to Apple charging cables. The final straw? The slippers fit my friend who wears a size 10. I was sent the wrong size, was requesting just an exchange and a postage paid return label, yet was gaslit the entire way through. If you care about honest service and consistent sizing, steer clear of Ugg Express.

They also state that the shoes will stretch but after wearing them since receiving them, they haven't due to the waterproof outer cover is solid and I know that they won't stretch in length which is the issue here. The length on their Size Chart (NOTE: the attached version of their size chart was just added to their website since my review) stated what size I needed to order but their sizing is at least one size too small. When I first tried them on, I thought they would be fine once the wool flattens. That hasn't happened.

I wrote this review below soon after receiving my order. But even though I ordered from the size that their size chart correlated with my exact foot length, after wearing them since, it's clearly the wrong size and the waterproof film feels so restricting and not giving at all. The sizes are clearly on the very small size which have made wearing them absolute torcher. The tightness around my ankles feel like I have shin splints. I wouldn't recommend these and even though I contacted the supplier over a week ago, I have had no response.

My Favourite Ugg Boot.

I've worn Ugg boots for decades but the same issue with them has been that they get wet and stain and they tend to stretch.

I was looking for comfortable footwear for the cooler and wet weather that I could wear comfortably and keep warm and they would not get wet whether I'm washing my face and brushing my teeth in the morning, cooking, feeding my cats, my 3 hens and hanging up my laundry outdoors, going to my letterbox and watering my garden.

That's when I saw these waterproof Ugg boots that I realised would solve everything. The only problem is that according to the Ugg Express size chart, I am an AU Ladies 8 but after wearing them a few hours, I realised that I needed a size larger and with the waterproof finish, they won't be stretching at all. So unfortunately there will be no wearing any socks with them and not able to wear them all day or going out with them in public. I literally had to trim my toe nails. So I recommend to everyone as I did to my sister, to buy a size larger than your foot length.

The staff member then told us the sizes are not correct and they do not refund for change of mind as its store policy. I said that it is a major issue, not a change of mind, if I had of known that the sizes were incorrect/just an indication of size, I would never have purchased them. I also said we asked about 7 other pairs none of which are available.

She then rang her manager again and came back and said I need to go through head office for a refund and then bring them back in again. I said that was wasting my time, the item that was sold by this company has a major issue in that the size is not correct and she informed us that the sizing isn't correct. She then made another call and said her manager has the password to do the refund and wont give it. Following this the centre security attended and I explained the situation. He was understanding and said that I was right and it's a major issue that would have stopped me purchasing the boots had I been told. She refused a refund and then refused a refund in front of the security for Westfield.

Had I have been told that the sizing of your shoes is "not correct" as per your staffs information, I would not have spent my money on your products, for my children to give to their mum for mothers day. This is $119 I could have spent elsewhere. We tried the next size up, being a 40 and it fell off my wifes foot, that is the discrepancy in the sizes this store is supplying.

I am absolutely disgusted in the behaviour of the store attendant. She has said the sizing is incorrect, then she gave me a piece of paper with her name, the managers name and wrote that the "store policy is they don't refund". (Names redacted off photo for privacy). I have consumer rights and if they said that the sizes are not correct or just an indication then I would not have purchased the boots.

Please not the responses from this company, no attempt at rectifying, no attempt at acknowledging their staffs knowledge of the products they are selling being incorrect. They are displaying a Victorian Consumer rights sign in NSW. Response is always the same, pur sizing is correct, take it up with the staff member at the store.
