We are based on the central coast, NSW and were lucky enough to have Juan reply to our call out for someone to resurface our claw foot bath and pedestal. Communication from the initial ad and ongoing was excellent. Juan was professional, detailed, conscientious and the end result was outstanding. He thoroughly cleared up before leaving us very happy with the result. Highly recommended. Show reply

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – If I could leave less I would. What an absolute nightmare!!! Emailed to have my bath tub professionally resurfaced quoted $660 thought ok I’ll pay it for a proper job will it look new ? Yes he said. His first attempt at the job he left it In absolutely appalling condition I was shocked I said this isn’t good showed the spots I wasn’t happy with… Read more
he made excuses and later sent me the bill. I replied no way I’m paying it needs to be rectified.
He comes back a second time the first time he didn’t even sand the entire tub and he TOLD me that he didn’t have a sander small enough to do the plug area, edges or top of the bath which I was like wow ok that’s concerning. Anyway he again leaves the tub looking horrible and not to standard so I tell him I point out the bad spots and he replies I can’t even see that my eyes are old. Again I’m thinking what ???
He comes to my house now again for a third time to sand the bath tub - not re paint just sand it back where he messed it up. He leaves it job done.
Job done finished 3 attempts and I’ll leave the photos. Please don’t waste your time absolute joke.

What a great service! – We live on the Central Coast. When we needed our old bath and basin re-enamelled, Ultraglaze came in with the best quote by far. Juan was amazingly organised and helpful every step of the way. The finish was excellent and the clean-up perfect. We received lots of tips about maintaining the appearance of our new surfaces. The service is to be highly recommended! Show reply
Way beyond the Call of Duty – I want to emphasise that this review is specifically about Chris from Ultraglaze Canberra. Years ago, while building my house, I dropped a plumb bob on the newly installed bath. B*****. Over the years, I had tried to patch it with DIY kits, always failed after a year or so. So anyway, I contacted Chris. He quoted a good price, and we accepted. We… Read more · 1
live a long way out of town, and up a driveway that requires a good 4wd, so with our understanding and agreement, Chris left it till he had some free time. On the appointed day, he encountered a reasonably serious van problem, but still came out despite the risks to his van. I met him at the letterbox, we transferred the gear to my ute, and up we went. Five hours later, we had a bath looking brand new. I absolutely can't fault it - even though I know where it was, I can't find the sport where the plumb bob dropped. Can you? It's in the photo... I had to go into town anyway, so followed him in, but the van made it courtesy of a spare battery. You couldn't get a nicer bloke. You also couldn't get a more efficient operator. The years will tell how it lasts, and I'll update if productreview permits it, but Chris has my absolute recommendation. 6 months on: looking great!
Friendly, professional and timely service! – Juan was excellent. He was friendly, and did a professional job of resurfacing our bathtub at sorry notice. Show reply

Fantastic work – Juan was excellent, very good at communication, answered any questions, stuck to agreed timeframes and did the work extremely well. Price was good, you can't go wrong. Tony - Sydney Show reply
Sam from Ultraglaze Syd West was fantastic – Sam from Ultraglaze Sydney West did an amazing job. My original bathtub had a small hole and was rusty at certain parts. But Sam fixed everything and it looked like brand new after completion. He was friendly and reliable. One very happy customer. Show reply
Prompt service - great result – Chris in Canberra was outstanding. He responded promptly to my enquiry (a few unsightly chips in my acrylic tub that needed fixing), and suggested a partial repair was all that was needed. He arrived right on time to carry out the work. The final result was fantastic. Looks like new again. And all this was done in less than an hour. I… Read more · 1
was seeking a few other quotes from other repairers in Canberra, but they didn't even respond. So my advice is, just contact Chris! Highly recommended.
Negative reviews
Highly unprofessional. Would not reccomend – I booked an ultraglaze technician to resurface a small chip in my bathroom vanity. Upon arrival, the technician asked for payment before any work had commenced. When I refused and said I would pay cash upon completion, he left site and would not answer my call. An over reaction to say the least. Highly disrespectful and unprofessional. I was not surprised to find so many other clients with negative reviews.

Average Service, Average Quality – The Sydney franchisee responded quickly and did the job for us with a quick turnaround time. From this perspective we had no issue. However, materials were spilt in the common strata area and trying to get this franchisee to have it professionally cleaned proved impossible. Eventually we paid a further $110 ourselves to a professional carpet… Read more
cleaning service to clean the damaged area. The quality of the bath resurfacing is average but acceptable. Based on this experience I won’t use them again.
Waste of money and awful company to deal with – Had franchise owner come to reglaze bath in 2019. Looked like a new bath. Within a couple of months, area around drain hole was rusty. Tradesman came out and resprayed area, another couple of months, had to come out again and again and then last time he came out, he resprayed area, replaced chrome plug hole and then put silicone around the plug… Read more
hole and then gave me a 30 ml bottle of clear solution that I had to put on the rust prior to having a bath. I have used my bath twice since 2019. The solution did not work. I contacted the head office in Queenbeyan and they sent another franchise owner who was the brother-in-law of previous tradie. He said he was more experienced than previous guy and said he could fix it by replacing the drainpipe. He said he would need to come back twice to totally fix the problem. Then lockdown happened. When this was over, I contacted him and he said that his customers were his priority and couldn’t do it for another few weeks. Told him I had this problem since 2019 and am over it. He said I was not his customer and therefore not his priority. He got very nasty via his texts, said he would sue me for defamation, only people who knew about my issue was Ultraglaze head office and the 2 franchise owners. I then recontacted head office who said it wasn’t their problem and to take it up with franchise owner. That was over 3 weeks ago and still waiting for someone to contact me.

Very happy indeed – Mark painted our wall tiles, bath and the floor in two of our bathrooms. He was punctual, spent a lot of time preparing the job and came back when asked to fix a small problem. we are more than satisfied with the results. We now have 2 modernized bathrooms that weren't expensive to be done. We would recommend him with confidence. Show reply
Professionalism & Quality – Chris was the epitome of professionalism. He sent a reminder text the day before, turned up a few minutes before time, completed the first part of the job within advised timeframe and was back to complete the job a couple of hours later after the enamel had time to cure. The bath looks FANTASTIC. Such a nice bloke as well! I didn't know this… Read more · 1
company was a franchise, so it's a crying shame that reviews in other states have brought the overall star rating down. If you live in Canberra, get in touch with Chris and you won't be disappointed. Guaranteed!

A great job done on two 30 year old baths – Juan did a great job. We have two baths 30 years old. One has been used constantly for the past 30 years (as it is also has a shower) by our adult children who have now left, whilst the other is the parents cast iron claw foot bath. Both were worse for wear, with one having a number of chips, scratches and discolouring. Juan did both jobs at… Read more
the one time. He took his time to ensure they were done correctly and didn’t finish until he was satisfied that we’d be satisfied. They have come up like brand new, and we’re looking forward to another 30 years bathing in our claw foot bath. Highly recommend Juan to anyone who is looking for a competitive price but does not want to sacrifice quality. Also, he is a very likeable guy, always on time, and turns up when he says he is.
A perfect re-enamelling of my bath – I was delighted with the job Ultraglaze did with my bath. When a friend accidentally made a small scratch on the new surface Chris went to the trouble of repairing it without charge. I would strongly recommend Ultraglaze. Elizabeth Narrabundah Show reply
Awesome – I can not recommend Juan and his work anymore highly. He worked a miracle on a 9 year old bath which had scratches from daily, cleaning chemicals and one small cat. After completion it looked like a brand new bath. Thank you Juan. Show reply
High Quality and Great Value! – Couldn't be happier with the re-glaze. Like most other reviewers I found Juan really knows his stuff and is totally professional. Bath looks new again and can be used right away. Can't recommend enough, am really glad I went with Ultraglaze. Show reply

Juan was amazing – I had my bathroom wall tiles enabled white and I had my bath re-enambled at the same time. The work was all done in a timely manner, Juan's communication was excellent and he was always responsive. There was one minor issue and Juan went back and fixed everything without delay. He was amazing! Everything was done remotely as I was away when the work was done. I can highly recommended Juan. Show reply

Excellent result – Juan was excellent to deal with. He is very knowledgeable, communicates well and importantly, true to his word. No mess, no fuss and no games. Had a quote from a competitor and it was sky high. Got a comparison quote from Ultraglaze (they don't do floors , which is fine and makes sense not to) and it was reasonable. Had all wall tiles resurfaced… Read more · 1
and it's made a big difference. THere's a limited 7yr warranty which we hope we won't need to use, but have peace of mind knowing Juan is just a phone call away. Would definitely consider getting Ultraglaze to quote - the reviews don't do them justice on here. So use your own judgement as I did - and got a great outcome as a result.
Looks brand new – Chris did an amazing work on our old bathtub, now looks brand new, we highly recommend Ultraglaze and will be sure to tell all our friends about them. Thanks Chris Show reply
Exceptional result – my bathroom though original was functional and in good condition only the sower base was discoloured an scratched. For a small cost relevant to a new bathroom the room looks good and the appearance great. Saved me a lot onj replacing or renovating Show reply

Chris from Ultraglaze Canberra is excellent – Our plumbers recommended Chris from Ultraglaze Canberra for renewing the enamel on our bath. He was brilliant to deal with and has done a really great job. Our bath looks like new! Would definitely recommend him. Show reply
Lie lies lies – I would not recommend Ultra Gaze under any circumstance. After less than a year I noticed several marks just appear on my bathtub. I hardly use the bathtub and the company ensures a 7-year warranty. After making contact the worker accused me of making the masks and was adamant that this never happens. He then mentioned that he would charge if this… Read more

Crap service and job! – We had [name removed] from Quakers Hill respray our walls and tub. almost 2 weeks and has disappeared. Stay away from this guy. More of a head ache then it’s worth. Not good at what he does.
Job not done – My estate agent employed ultraglaze to resurface a bath in my investment unit. The agent paid the account, when submitted, a sum of almost $700. However when the unit was inspected again almost 2 years later, it was apparent the job had never been done! The excuse was that they couldn’t gain access to the property, but they still took the money.… Read more

Not impressed with the finished product. Take your money and get someone professional instead – I used the South East Queensland branch. After the job was done by Ultraglaze I noticed that the grout of my newly tiled bathroom under my bathtub weren’t masked up properly which were grey in color after the tiler left but now look white. I said to the guy by the name [name removed] before he started my job to make sure that nothing gets on the… Read more
grout under the bathtub. The advertisement on Ultraglaze website states that a professional tradesman will mask up everything around the area to be sprayed properly so that the surrounding area will be free of any over-spray. The job looks like a 10 year old kid did the masking up of the tub and not a professional at all if you'd ask me. However to top it all of a day later when I could use the bathroom again as per instructions I found that there were still 2 chips in my resurfaced tub right on the tubs top edges as well as dirt particles painted in with the new paint because a clean single use overall should’ve been used and not a dirty old one which most likely explains the dirt in the new paint. There is also orange peel around the top edges of the bathtub and on the bottom of the newly re-glazed tub doesn't look glossy at all but rather dull (not glossy) which could be because the tubs bottom didn’t get polished properly before leaving the job and it made the tub look like as if it was scrubbed for about 5 years. My door jamb which was painted in oil based enamel had white spray dust because he didn't mask it up at all what an unprofessional job it makes my blood boil. At last I didn't even get the 7 year hand written warranty before he left my place as quoted on his website. I had to call the guy to come back and fix his stuff ups and when I called he was to busy watching football and he said he'd call me after the weekend which he did and he came back to fix his job somewhat with the orange peel mostly gone the bottom of the bathtub polished up and the chips filled in and touched up with paint. However where one of the chips was filled and painted over right on top of the tub the paint is now not as glossy as the rest of the tub because it most likely wasn't polished properly again. Because I had no touch up enamel paint left for my door jamb to repaint it from the over spray and no grout for the tiles because the tiler had left I did ask the guy to buy it for me so that I could make the necessary fixes for his stuff ups and yes he did bring the grout which he filled from a small bag in to an even smaller plastic bag and the one liter paint he brought he also filled up in to a small tin because he said that I wont need that much. What the ....? First this guy stuffs up mu tub and my door jamb and grout which will take me a few hours to fix and then he recons that I don't need as much paint or grout? if that would have been me I just would have left the lot with the customer because the customer has to go through the trouble and spend a couple of hours to fix this guys mistakes. As for cleaning up after he did his job, not at all the water from washing down his polishing compound was all over the floor which I had to clean up because it seemed as if he left in a hurry to get to his next football show and beer. All in all it has been not a very good experience at all.
This is an update after the guy came back to fix the chips he didn't fix initially and fix up his orange peel looking paint job and polishing the bottom of my bath tub to make it look glossy. Well guess what I just sent this guy another message because he needs to come back again because where he fixed the chip in the glaze on top of the tub you can see now that the immediate area around his repair work if you can call it that now doesn't look glossy like the rest of the tub and as a matter of fact you can see still where he sanded the area of the chip but didn't polish it of properly. This whole job has been one big stuff up and as you can imagine I am not impressed by this company at all.
My advise would be, if you want a professional job done where your bathtub looks like new as it is claimed on the Ultraglaze website get someone else in and not this mob because that kind of work (stuff up) is as bad as it gets.
