Purchased the Uniden XTRAK 80 Pro Pack last week. Within ONE day, the antenna fell apart (after driving about 1 hour on regular highway). The antenna looks likes it's been glued together with childrens paper glue. Absolute garbage, so annoyed. Hi. I contacted Uniden after my dash cam died. I was shocked that their product would do this 7 months out from their inflexible 12mth warranty. I will be putting their camera in the bin. Would I buy another Uniden product. No. Because the quality of their product is built to just outlast their 120Month warranty and the value for money is just not there. to 6 weeks to get it installed or pay anothe $45 to buy the additional gear I need to get the job done. Extension section for rear camera could be a little longer to run down the side channel and lead on hardwire kit shorter seem that the wiring is designed for tanks. I can not give a claim to quality until I gan get it to run. I have been using it for quite a while now, great pictures, I ended up buying a Cellink NEO8+S battery which goes under the passenger seat and is pluged into the cigarette lighter and charges while you drive the car, the only problem is that if the car is standing for a day or so the battery will need re charging. Probably a bit more details on the different functions of the unit on youtube would also be good and which I will look into is how to record an incident that does not involve the car but may maybe something near the car.

Beyond angry with Uniden customer service team. We purchased a baby monitor and after less than a month its screen stopped working. I sent the monitor back for repair as per their request and almost 3 weeks later there is no communication on the status. I’ve now been told and read other reviews that they have previously replaced others monitors without all the issues we’ve had. We now do not have a camera at all and I will be taking this further. must take it to an authorised dealer for them to look at it. OK so I’m about to cross the Nullarbor without any CB, I asked a few places along the way without success, Once I got to WA I found on the Uniden website two addresses in Perth. Once we got to Perth and found the first address no such Uniden office or store, we phoned a number on the website only to get an office in Geraldton, a mere 5 hours away. Next day we went to the second authorised dealer only to be told that he doesn’t have much to do with Uniden, and that the connection had burnt out it needed replacing but he can’t help me. So we travelled back home without any CB contact, sent the whole thing back to Sydney and have now received my CB back with a new battery and charger, Thank You. I just don’t get that it took 33 emails back and forth and 8 weeks to get something done, meanwhile I have driving over 11,000 klms without something that I purchased thinking I needed. Surely there is a better way of dealing with a customer who is out in the never never without any contact. I am not a happy customer and will have to think twice before buying a Uniden product again.

Terrible service, fraudulent activity – Phones need a service payment plan for them to operate. It was not disclosed (item was purchased on Catch of the Day). When requesting a return and refund they argue that it's the customers responsibility to research and figure that out them selves. Return policy requires items to be in the original packaging and unsealed for it to be accepted for returns (both of these issues go against the Australian Consumer Law).

Have had issues with the product stopping when sd card is full from day 1. I like a product to do what it is meant to, out of the box. Too much to ask, apparently. Wish I hadn’t bought a Uniden product - never will again.
Don’t waste your money on the baby monitors – Purchased one of the top of the line BW6141R monitor and camera, paying quite a considerable amount of money for a huge disappointment. Would never recommend it to anyone. Have returned the product multiple times for failure to operate properly. Constantly freezing, major delays, camera failure and dropping out. Received a replacement only for it to be just as bad. Don’t waste your money.
UNIDEN PRODUCTS ARE RUBBISH – I never post reviews but... I've recently purchased a Uniden jump starter pack also a dash cam.. both have failed within few weeks of use... the uniden quality has seriously hit rock bottom, I will not be recommending or purchasing Uniden products again...

it was very late, & I don't frequently go into this room, it was a miracle I was in the room at the time, otherwise my house could have caught alight. I am still very shaken by this event. After checking in with my electrician, he assured me it was the monitor itself, (NOT my powerpoint as there was no damage to there). I contacted UNIDEN & I am still waiting to hear back from them!! Given it was a BABY MONITOR I would have thought someone from this company would have called in a hurry...but NOTHING! Adhesive tape for dash cam ripoff! – REPLACEMENT ADHESIVE TAPE FOR DASH CAMS. Quoted $9.95 ea. For tape to fix camera to screen..or $19.95 for tape + plastic holder. For IGO 50 and 70 with 2 cameras = 2 pieces @ 50mm long req'd. Tape sells for $79 for 33 metres...so 33m divided by 50mm =660 pieces of tape. !!!!!.....thats 83 times the cost of the tape...if bought at bulk rates as they would, the profit would be even greater. Tape should be about 25c for 50mm...its needed everytime you shift from original spot or swap camera to another vehicle. For Uniden to supply say 10 extra pieces at time of purchase, it would cost them less than $2.50.

ability at all. I originally had the dashcam installed at an Autobarn store. When I went to pick up the car, whoever installed it simply gave back the keys & that was it. No instructions were given to me on how to use it. What a big letdown & I was very disappointed! It wouldn't surprise me in the least if the dashcam was already faulty before installation & the installer didn't care one bit if the dashcam didn't work or not. His job was to install & get paid for it. I've since contacted Uniden requesting a refund or replacement, but because the unit is out of warranty, I can't do anything, except rip the unit out & try another brand. From now on I'll definitely stay away from Autobarn installers because they don't give a hoot about showing one how to operate a newly installed dashcam or any other electronic equipment.

Terrible service – We called maybe 12 times, they answered once and as soon as we said "Hi" they instantly said "sorry i cant hear you" and hung up instantly. What a TRASH company.
Dodgy products and no customer service – I bought a solo app cam. About one year in it failed so I sent it in for repairs. Another year after it was having issues so I reached out for tech support. They responded saying they refuse to offer any assistance because they don't sell that model anymore. Thanks for nothing Uniden. Avoid at all costs.
Uniden Baby monitor – Bought a top of the range baby monitor. Unfortunately it was faulty ( not charging) and had to be sent away for repairs instead of replacement. Rather inconvenient as that took a few weeks. Then there was another problem (camera not working) and again had to be sent off. Disgusted. Paid and no delivery – I ordered and paid for an order of 2 wooden ceiling fans. Over $500 . They said they delivered but they have not and will not answer my emails. They were supposedly delivered during our floods here in Northern Rivers. How could that be possible !! After loosing my car and my home going a metre under water I am devistated to also be ripped off by this company.

Horrible customer service – I had a faulty adapter for my cctv system after 14 months of the purchase date. I contacted uniden in order to get a replacement and I was told that it was out of the warranty and had to purchase a new adapter for $40(excl. shipping). than 14 months without having to replace parts. They kept telling me I could purchase a new adapter with them if I wanted to. It is ridiculous they refuse to replace the adapter (or at least supply one for a reduced price) as it's only 2 months out of warranty and further that they decide to charge top dollar for an adapter that's costing them a couple of dollars. I will never buy a uniden product again as this is the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time!!!
Good and working Customer Service – PROS: Uniden has a more reliable CCTV system than other major brands e.g. Swann. I bought two GDVR systems. The systems have been in working order. CONS: Basic features. Camera resolution is basic. Other competitors might offer better functions. However, who would care if the product is not reliable? Uniden's Customer Service is accessible through direct email, phone call or Contact Us form. This is basic, but working. One of their staff, Gendy, is helpful. Power adaptor for cameras would need a replacement after 2 years. Available on eBay for $12. Apart from this, the product has been relatively OK.
Excellent Service – How often do you read adverse comments about a product when clients haven't given the Service Department a chance to help out. I had been having intermittent dropouts with my Guardian Live remote monitoring of my Uniden 8 Security Cameras. I called Uniden Australia and have had complete success.
