contact point did change a couple of times, they did hand me over to the next person who was taking over, and the service was consistent with all staff. Given I was refinancing a rather small investment property loan (in one name only) while renting with my partner, I found the process with financials was quite difficult, and felt like I was jumping through hoops and providing clarification on every little thing many times over. The documents provided to me by Uno at the beginning (to enter my income and expense information) were completed accurately, but I was questioned a number of times about the figures. Given my expenses were shared with my partner (which I thought would be common enough) this seemed to make things more difficult than I thought they should be. Perhaps these Uno documents can be updated to accomodate these sort of situations, so applicants know exactly how they should declare this information for their situation. I found a specific loan with a specific lender (which I could have obtained directly through them) but went via Uno due to a velocity points offer they had advertised. Im not sure if the hoops I jumped through were due to updated government regulation for lending, the specific lender requirements or problems with Uno not understanding my situation, but it did feel much more painful than the 4 times I had obtained a home loan in the past. Overall, the staff from Uno who assisted me were friendly and helpful and I was happy with their service. Although the process did appear more difficult than previous experiences with loan financing, I wont be negatively judging Uno, since there were many factors involved, and I would be happy to contact them again to discuss future refinancing (especially if there are things such as velocity points on offer). did an excellent job of helping me through the documentation process (frequent updates and friendly emails) and we finally settled the transaction some six or seven month after starting.

As a note to non resident refinancing applicants, please note that the required documents are onerous to gather (what I see as an invasive level of information seeking in the name of diligence) - I ended up needing to withdraw my application and resume the process when I had more time to collect everything. But the team was supportive through my slow plod to the finish line.

Based on my experience, I would recommend Uno to other non resident citizens seeking re-financing options.

if he did a good job (which he did), the only gain for him is potential future goodwill (which might equate to me calling him if I consider refinancing again). Well, here I am - giving him a glowing review and want to say a big thank you, too. I'm still weighing up my options, but the more I have - the more comfortable I'm feeling going with a broker like Jason who I know is working for my best interests always - plus Uno's policy to keep customers informed re any new red hot deals every month (or whatever interval that suits you) is GOLD - as opposed to my current bank who might have called me less than 5 times in 15 years. Go Uno - and JJ, it's not over yet - I still want you as my broker!

Uno Home Loan – I spent 2 months back & forth with Uno home trying to get finance to buy a property. In the final stages of our application we were told no bank would lend the amount needed for purchase because I have received JobKeeper payments 9 months prior (I have not received JobKeeper payments since October 2020). I subsequently went with an alternative broker & was approved for our full purchase amount within 5 days.

Never called at arranged time and don’t reply to emails – I had booked in a time with a broker, I waited for the call, I’m still waiting 2 days later. I sent an email asking why the appointment was missed and no reply.

Excellent Service - Really took the time to understand our situation – So happy with UNO's service and how they operate. Tommy , Dalby and Jena we're great to work with.
