UPS managed to lose a shipment from Spain between Sydney and Canberra. It took them from Feb 13 to March 15 to open an investigation. I came 3 or 4 times in that month. They constantly said they would call me with info on what was happening. Finally on April 24th 2026 I called again and they’ve refused to let me know what happened to my parcel.… Read more
They will only speak to the shipper even though I opened the investigation. Every call I made resulted in someone lying to me, usually saying that would call me back and nobody ever did. This company is completely useless.
A parcel that should have taken less than a week took two. The tracking info was also very scant, and yesterday it was marked as delivered except nothing was - no delivery, no note, nothing. After contacting UPS I was told it was at the post office. Useless tracking. Show details
if there was half a star i would have chosen that, firstly i am over the recording by all transport companies that starts off with "be courteous to our staff as we will not tolerate rude behaviours towards our staff" or something similar, what about when those staff are rude to customers? i paid $700 to have a parcel shipped to me by ups from… Read more
china yes $700, 4 days delivery time, i will receive it on Thursday the 2nd of April, the 3rd to the 6th happens to be public holidays in Sydney Australia (Easter) the parcel doesn't arrive on the 2nd, it arrives on the 3rd, no one at UPS decides to contact me by phone or email, fast forward to today, i track the parcel, sitting at ups depot since Friday, so i call UPS the lady who asks for the tracking number quickly works out that the parcel is sitting there for four days and no one has contacted the customer, more importantly, i paid for it to be delivered to my door, so she diverts me to a colleague, protocol is that she has to connect with her team mate explain the situation and pass me on because she checked my id, tracking she simply transfers me so now i have to start from scratch , and after more time i get told that i might get it delivered this week,? huh? i paid extra to have it delivered last week? well sir due to the war..... spare me the nonsense, never again

I had bought some ceramic decorations online, and the seller used UPS to send me the products. Today UPS informed me by email that my parcel has been delivered. In reality, it hasn't. Then they asked me to fill a form to report the loss. I did. Then I got this notification: "Unfortunately, we need a bit more information" The form I filled in was… Read more
actually complete - why make me waste time if you need more info than what's in the online form??? LATER EDIT: Upon calling UPS customer service (and that's a plus - it was fairly easy to talk to an operator) I learned that they had given the parcel to a local operator, who left it with a post office nearby, without letting me know. They should choose their local contractors better, and improve the online communication, including reports of missing parcels.
Would give a zero if I could. more than 2 months and parcel still not delivered. UPS Bangkok tried to charge 45% customs on a parcel, I questioned it, sent proof of payment, (bank statement), invoice, link to the item purchased and they still won't release it. Value of parcel about 5040 baht, fee charged about 2000 baht) To punish me for not… Read more
paying the extortion fee, they sent to fisheries (never needed to go there before), and now they are holding indefinitely. Have sent proof that the pearls are from freshwater, not the ocean. Have posted the same pearls many times before without issue. Have tried various UPS contacts, email, phone, fb messanger. Absouletly zero assistance. I asked how much longer, they replied 2-3 months. Will never use UPS again.

Package took 3-4 days from Germany to Australia. Then took another 5 days from Botany warehouse to Darlinghurst. Delivered without any prior notification. Package was visibly damaged. After opening the package , it showed the freezer inside it looked like it had been dropped from a decent height and clearly tumbled a few times. It is a total… Read more
write off. UPS acknowledged it was mishandled yet claim it was not their fault or liability. To add to the joy, I checked my credit card statement that listed two charges. One 10 euro more than the booking confirmation stated, the other a separate 99 euro charge. I enquired about this mistake and was told that was a large parcel surcharge. A surcharge that was already paid at the time of booking. Well done UPS.
I have just recently received a very rare, very expensive guitar from America that was unfortunately shipped via UPS and I am incredibly, angry, upset, dissatisfied and appalled with the service. When I received the notification that my instrument had entered Australia I figured it would only take a matter of days for it to get from the warehouse… Read more
to me. That however turned in to 2 weeks of it sitting in their warehouse with no movement.
Taking it into my own hands I called them and only ever got met with the wrong number or scammers, their actual phone number is hidden deep on their website and on google search results. After being told that I had to pay an importing fee I was rather upset as they had my information, email, phone etc, they just never reached out to let me know that my package was stuck due to fee reasons.
Fast forward ANOTHER week of waiting for them to do their job I received the instrument today, taking it out of its hard case I immediately noticed a rather large chip, dent and scuff on the underside of the instrument, rather obviously dropped...
So my very rare, very expensive guitar whilst being carted around their warehouse for TWO weeks had some, to be nice, champion of an employee take it out of its protective hard case on either one or multiple occasions. Play it and proceed to DROP said instrument onto their assumed hard concrete floor.
p*ssed off would be an understatement

BURBERRY had UPS to pick up my return shipment on them. I replied an email sent by UPS the time i am available on the date given. Pick up time 2:00-7:00pm. I was home 1:00pm door opened only the security door was closed. Had posted letter on… Read more
security door instructing UPS PLEASE - to press doorbell on your left am at home. I waited. At 3:45 i received text informing me they came am not home etc. i have a dog, door was open, from security door my dog or me can see through it esp hear if they press the doorbell. It means they did not come. They lied. I rung their office and complained. Apparently the lady said they have been receiving a lot of complaints regarding their delivery men and mine wasn’t new to them. this is the second time i had a very bad experience with UPS. Their delivery men are unreliable, inefficient and lazy just always in a rush or make short cuts to finish their job. Am just done with their service. I made other arrangements but not with them anymore.
Follow-up · Burberry Chadstone helped resolve it. I brought the item to them to assist me to send back to Burberry office overseas and they took charge in sending it. Instead of taking responsibility, they’ve been dragging the case on with no real action or update.
It’s incredibly frustrating — I trusted UPS with an important delivery, and their lack of accountability and effort to fix their own mistake is unacceptable. Definitely would not recommend based on this experience.
Follow-up · UPS delivered my package to the wrong address and then abandoned the issue entirely. I was told the next day the package was “lost.” No investigation. No attempt to retrieve it. No accountability. The package was recovered only because I personally contacted local community pages. A neighbour eventually found me. UPS did nothing ,before, during, or after. When UPS makes a mistake, you’re on your own.

We had an excellent service shipping an awkward shape and size package from the U.K. to Australia, it was as much a surprise to us having read so many reviews from people who were unhappy. We were surprised at the very reasonable price and the speed at which the parcel arrived safely at its destination. We tracked the parcel every step of the way,… Read more
from Dorset to Southampton, Germany, China (where it needed an X-ray so missed the plane it should have been on), to Botany (Australia). The driver of the delivery vehicle phoned in good time and the recipient had advance notice of the parcel being delivered as it couldn't be left without a signature. Honestly, couldn't have been better so just needed to say that we found this service really excellent and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use again ourselves.

I have to give 5 stars to UPS Australia. My package came in a timely manner, and was delivered to my door. status of my order. I gave her the code to gain access to the estate, she applied a label to be added to the package, rescheduled my delivery day, and assured me my delivery information has been updated. Delivery was made on the day she advised, without issue, the package did indeed have a label attached that stated the updated information and that I had made contact. I know at times delivery companies cop a bad rap, but UPS Australia provided me with great service, and deserve a good rating. Thank you to the young lady who helped me, and to the driver (s) for the safe efficient delivery.

Zero communication. No email, no SMS, no notification of any kind that duties and taxes were owed — the only way I found out was by manually checking the tracking myself. Called the Australian office and was told the accounts team wasn't available and that the *only* way to get an invoice emailed is to ring back and ask for it. An automated email… Read more
when clearance is required is the absolute bare minimum in 2026. Meanwhile the parcel sits there accruing storage fees while the customer plays detective. Genuinely one of the worst logistics experiences I've had.
UPS are really hopeless. I was waiting to receive a package bought on Ebay and sent from Japan for over a week now. I paid the extra import fees etc, which I have never had to do so before and after doing this they just keep putting off the delivery day. UPS has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional in handling my delivery. I have been trying to receive my Amazon package since February 10. would be available for collection on Friday, so I had to take time off work and drive 35 minutes round trip. When I arrived, the package was not even there. This situation has caused me to lose work time, fuel, and personal time due to incorrect information and poor communication. An apology is simply not enough when customers are left dealing with the consequences of UPS’s mismanagement. Very disappointing service.
Cant find my address, they then try to charge me more money to allow me to give them instructions on how to deliver it. AND their website is trash, AND their number does not work to call them. Terrible experience. Show details

not buzz unit number as no-one will be at home. More "delivery attempts" (according to the tracking) were made and simple instructions were not followed to leave outside. It's not rocket science to LEAVE OUTSIDE!!! OMG seriously, UPS are the pits. Never ever will I chose to use them for a delivery service. I am the receiver and have no choice but please do yourself a favour and NEVER use them, they are so unreliable, frustrating to deal with, and have st^pid drivers who cannot follow simple instructions. There is a disconnect between the call centre in the Phillipines and the local drivers in Australia. And the ones that suffer are customers... Senders and receivers. UPS should be ashamed of themselves.
So many times, UPS have left parcels out on the street, and claim they have left the parcel in a safe place. They make it incredibly hard to make a complaint, and never get back to you. I wouldn't even give a start to this business. No one rang my door bell at 9:31am and marked my delivery as attemped but I was home for the whole morning. This is the fifth instance they fk up the delivery. I have 4-5 deliveries from UPS and frustration almost every time due to different reasons. It is a business couldn't get the fundamentals right. you authorise a parcel to be left You then have to call customer service and ask them After that they send you a physical letter that you must fill out sign and return before they will leave a parcel at your front door This process is outdated time consuming and unreasonable In 2025 there is no excuse for making something so simple this complicated Avoid UPS if you want a smooth delivery experience
Zero stars if I could. I paid express post for a parcel from a wonderful company in the Netherlands. Three weeks later the tracking says it's delayed in Honolulu! The sender has been brilliant saying it has no business being in Honolulu and that it should have been delivered direct to Australia within 7 business days. Absolutely shocking delivery carrier. If my parcel is lost I will be so incredibly upset and angry. Show details
parcel a no show even advised that it will be delivered today, been home all day without communication from the company as to when it will arrive, phoned UPS and tell me my parcel will not arrive i wish they at least text or email me and let me know of the progress. I am writing to document a severe failure in UPS’s logistics process that resulted in a correctly addressed international parcel being delivered to a random location in a different state, 1,000km away. The Incident: My package was clearly and correctly hand-addressed to Upper Ferntree Gully, Victoria (3156). However, due to an apparent… Read more
data-entry error at the dispatch level (likely a typo on the postcode), UPS routed and "delivered" the package to Singleton, New South Wales (2330).
The Systemic Failure:
In 2025, human error in data entry is inevitable, but software failure to catch that error is inexcusable for a global logistics company. It appears UPS does not utilise any form of address validation logic to cross-reference the City/Suburb field with the Postcode field before routing a package. If they did, their system would have immediately flagged that "Upper Ferntree Gully" does not exist in postcode "2330." This level of negligence is baffling considering the technology available:
AMAS (Address Matching Approval System): Australia Post established this standard in the 1990s specifically to prevent this type of routing error.
G-NAF (Geocoded National Address File): The Australian Government released this dataset as Open Data in 2016. It is completely free ($0.00) and contains every valid physical address in the country.
Basic APIs: Google and other providers have offered address validation APIs for nearly 20 years.
They cherry on top: UPS literally sells an Address Validation API to other companies.
They charge other businesses to "verify city, state, and postal code information is valid." Yet, they apparently do not use their own product for their own international deliveries entering Australia.
Conclusion:
By failing to implement even free, open-source validation data (G-NAF) or industry-standard checks (AMAS), UPS allowed a simple typo to spiral into a significant logistical failure. It is unacceptable that a customer must track down a package sent interstate because a multi-billion dollar company refuses to implement quality control measures that have been standard in Australia for decades.
Do not trust this carrier with critical shipments if accurate routing is required.
Obnoxious, incompetent, illiterate and utterly incompetent customer service. I don't understand why people have such miserable, suffering with rage, anger and mental issues. rescheduled it. The status updates are so ambiguous, it appears that the delivery was rescheduled on the same day by the end of the day. Upon enquiring the customer service says that "the driver cannot go back and forth, they can only attempt to deliver the parcel once", but the obnoxious person cannot understand that their own status says, delivery rescheduled for the end of the day. UPS must spend millions on training these people first to run an efficient business. Utterly disappointed.
UPS have a real problem. The sender of my item made a mistake on the value of the item shipped to Australia which triggered customs to try and charge me taxes. words, they hold the goods you have properly paid for as ransom.
Then there is the customer service and we enter into a whole new world of pain and arrogance. A woman who repeatedly referred to "my government" everytime I asked for an explanation that made sense. The question I had was if these are "my government"'s charges - why am I paying UPS and not some government agency. She was dismissive and rude and I will never allow anything to be shipped to me via this company again. I have never had an issue with DHL. Disgusting.
