Generally satisfied – Network coverage not perfect but sufficient. Average data speed but slow for GPS use. Support services very good and friendly. Please don't send paper bills and charge for them, sms sufficient. Show details
Love Vaya – Hubby and i have both been with Vaya for probably ten years or so and never had a problem. Use my phone for everything and have never run out of data. For $16 a month it’s a great deal. When on holidays coverage may not be as good as some others but so what, can live without it sometimes! Show details
Vaya is a Total Scam – Stay away from this mobile provider. They do not abide by Australian standards, legislation or code of practice. I've had to pay for data/services I never received, I paid for my regular bill but my service was not activated to use my phone and had to ring them for it to be turned on. Since joining them I got many spam calls, texts and emails from… Read more
those of the same nationality as those I spoke to at their office. I moved over to Mate Mobile and I couldn't be happier.

Unbeatable value after receiving loyalty reward – I've been rewarded with 20GB per month with unlimited talk+text for $18 a month for sticking with Vaya for a few years. I can't remember being frustrated or disappointed by the service they provide in any of the time I've been with them. Show details · 1
Greatly priced mobile plan – My plan was upgraded twice over a period of 2 years without me asking, both times getting more GB for bucks! Now 22GB/m for $19.9 Really no other companies would do that now adays! Coverage is fair depending on Optus network Customer service is always easy to work with Online account is good and shows your remaining balance, data..etc What else do I need? Show details · 1
Don't fall for these phoney reviews posted by the company by fake accounts – Having read all of the reviews posted on product review for the last month, I can clearly see there are lots of subjective reviews published. The youth of today are always on there phones because everything in this modern world is geared towards having an online presence. It becomes engrained in children's minds from an early age that to be online… Read more
all the time is considered the *norm*. Take this for example, every kid that goes to high school now receives a laptop for free. I don't think that's a fair accusation to say kids are always in their own little virtual world. Honestly speaking they are encouraged to be from their teachers, mentors and even the older generation.
It has also has become apparent to me that Vaya has decided to employ the classic tactic of making lot's of fake accounts which give themself 5 stars far too often. C'mon guys at least do a 4 star review every now and again so it's believable. They are doing what hostels do where a hostel already has a terrible reputation. Yet out of the blue suddenly this hostel has lot's of 9/10 reviews. In exchange for these fantastic glowing reviews the hostel offers the reviewer's massive discounts like 75% off their stay. This behaviour is quite off putting to fellow consumers and provides false information. The only purpose is to further confuse people in this already overly saturated technology fueled world.
Here is some actual proof at how the competition is wiping the floor with Vaya. Take this attached screenshot and link for the company Spintel who right now and in my opinion which of course isn't everyone's is leading the charge for SIM only plans. Also I should add they don't lock you in for x amount of months. It is simply a join when you want, leave whenever mindset. Per month for 5GB of data, Unlimited text, Unlimited calls for only $15.95. Whereas Vaya on the other hand charges $16 for 3GB of data. I know which one I would pick.
TLDR : Read through the foggyness of Vaya's terms & conditions and you will realise that they once might have been known as "the best telco you've never heard of". However in 2019, they need to speak to their marketing department and update their slogan to something more appropriate.

Vaya online chat experience – Just got off online chat to order a replacement SIM card. I received an immediate reply and the whole process took less than 5 minutes. This rates as the best online chat experience yet for me. If people have had problems in the past it looks like Vaya have lifted their game. Show details
9 years with Vaya – My wife and I have been with Vaya for eight years, in that time we have had... *Sufficient download speeds *Never gone over the required data *Coverage has been okay but when I ride down to Woodenbong NSW, no coverage. *Also, wanted to add...When Optus had their problems with Cyber Security Scammers. Our mobile data, phones were not affected.… Read more
*Didn't have change licence *Didn't have to change passport
So, overall usability has been kind to us over the eight year period.
Good low cost plan – I have been with Vaya for about ten years now. Really good value for money, hardly ever any service issues (bar the major Optus outage), online chat available to sort out issues. The only real issue I've had is accessing my account online, there are consistently issues with the website. This is a pain but overall it's a good provider. Show details

Vaya Poor Customer Service – Been with this company for 14 years. They used to be pretty good. I need to update a few things, website has been under maintenance for 6 days and they cannot tell me when it will be up and running, looking at other reviews its always under maintenance? So I cannot login to update my details. Live chat is useless, tried 5 or 6 times, and 3 hours,… Read more
still haven't gotten anywhere. They are OK until you need assistance or need help. You get what you pay for.
No explanation for inability to connect – All good for years. Suddenly have problems with phone connecting, it times out and cancels. People get a message saying my number is not connected! Husbands phone also has same issue. Have to call someone 8-10 times before connecting. Moved sim to another phone and still same problem, replaced sim, same problem. Customer service have hung up on… Read more
me (and I was being nice). I have spent 3 months advising them of this but every time I call they want to go through each step of troubleshooting even though I advise I have already been through them. They’ve basically said they can’t help me
Do not join there service – When I first commenced my bills were at $29.00 than without even using much data my data would be used and you had to buy data packs on the end I was paying an average of $69.00 a month The last woman I spoke with was so rude Show details

I've been a customer with Vaya for 11 years. This is the final straw – I was pretty happy with Vaya for the most part, but after the recent issues with Optus, I've decided to vote with my money. Nation-wide data breach and then a nation-wide outage within a year? Nah, not happening. And you've now decided to cap my data as well. So I have to go find a McDonalds in order to get internet. Very poor phone company – We have 2 phones through Vaya I have been with Vaya since they purchased Jenee and for quite a while was good no problems at all till recently. Both my wife and I mobile's just keeps going dead any time of day or night with no dial tone and you can't ring or text nor can anyone ring our phones or send Text's to us. The phones become useless so I… Read more
rang there call center ( can't contact after 6pm as they shut shop which seems to be another country and the people on the other end of the phone are useless so ended up with new Sim cards done absolutely nothing so I rang them back again girl the other end said she would monitor the phones and ring me back in around 4 Hours over 1 Day later still no phone call. I have been in Hospital after surgery and family and friends have been trying to phone but were unable to and we could not phone anyone. I can't believe how useless there system is so we have decided to find another company. WE DECIDED THAT THESE ARE USELESS SO WE ARE FINDING A PHONE COMPANY THAT CARES CAUSE VAYA DOES NOT CARE
Been with them for years! Great low cost service – I've been with Vaya for years and can't fault them. They do little things like extra data in your birthday month. Great low cost plans, reliable service!
Hi, I’m having difficulties trying transfer my old phone number. should contact the post department and tell what’s going on with the delivery delay? So customers can understand what’s going on. i’m telling you now people if you’re having the same difficulties I’m going through who knows what they’re going to do next and the further future to new customers and old customers. Vaya why don’t you sell your Sim cards at a local store helps customers that way.
Absolute worst! Wish I could give less stars – Needed to re-set my password as I don't use the web site, all payments are auto-set. First attempt using Live-Chat - failed to get in. Had to: clear cache, use Chrome, incognito mode, wait minimum of 4 hours to attempt log-in (which I did), failed to get in. Went through the exact same process the next working day, 2nd password re-set, could… Read more
not log in. The LiveChat (bot..?) was trying to be helpful, but in reality the web site was not working to allow me to log in. The "Ask your Queries" section does not actually submit the request, rather, the wheel spins with nothing actually happening. Would not recommend from a service POV - utterly useless.
Utterly useless website – I have been trying to pay online for a missed phone bill, but the payment page NEVER works. The 'submit' button merely brings up a blank green box. No text. No explanation. The payment does not go through. The Complaints page is similar. I fill in all the boxes and hit 'Submit' and a small pulsing circle appears but does nothing else. I get… Read more
the feeling the 'chat' agents are all bots or third-world sweatshop slaves with a strict script. Both useless, but at least I feel bad for the people.
The chat 'agent' I talked to last night said "Oh yes the page is broken and under maintenance"
So why not advise people of that!?!?!! Put a notice on the page!?!?!? I have a funny feeling that a couple of years ago I had exactly the same problem.
Edit: Now a couple months later and I’ve quit Vaya and ported my number to another company. They are still sending me emails saying that I owe them $0.00. They won’t even unsubscribe me without demanding several forms of ID and personal information. Utterly bizarrely incompetent company.
Telco – I can to this Vaya from Jennie mobile when amysymin bought it all went well few outage's over time but when Optus bought amysymin that's when things changed app went dead signal dropouts they used every excuse in the book could not put up with it anymore so moved to mate mobile fabulous reception such a improvement they had better improve there game glad l left them no good Show details
Second though – No complaints about service for many years. But the new website is a puzzle with no information. Should I worry? I didn't click the link. I don't understand anymore how to deal with Vaya.
Absolute crap company – You get what you pay for, Had no reception and was told it was a tower repair and woul be fixed by July 2 , and then was told by another person that there never was an outage in our area. Cancelled both my wife’s and my phone, and was told because of our problems we had been credited our last months debit , nonsense, and then they charged me for… Read more

Customer service is disgusting – Been trying to get in with to connect my SIM card I have tried calling them and they hang up on me Tried there online and doesn’t connect either This a joke Show details
What a Joke – I used Vaya for a long time. Good price, good bonuses, good plan, etc. Generally reliable all around. Until it came to cancelling my account. Now, when one requests for deletion/cancellation of the account, you would assume it would be fairly straightforward. Make the request, provide the necessary information and then it's solved. case.
I had made my request on my last day in Australia. I jumped through the necessary hoops, confirmed that I really wanted my account to be deleted, and assumed that would be it. Simple, right? Come to find a couple of months later, that I'm still being charged for the account. I raise the alarm, ask why? Not one bit of remorse, of course, just the typical "sorry for your experience". But the thing is, the number associated is dead, out of order, inactive, and had been since that day. So why, Vaya? Why the ineptitude? Why make assumptions and choices on my behalf? "Because you could be at the airport when your service would be cancelled" precisely. I was that very night. I was also using my husband's phone because I had no data. Nothing.
Yet I am to blame for not checking my emails, to see what else needs to be done. I'd laugh if I wasn't so angry.
Long term customer – They reward their customers the longer they stay with you. Birthday bonus data. Cheap plans good, decent data allowance. Service can be a bit sluggish when not in a metro or town area. Show details
Service only goes from the customer to them – Three messages - all in the space of about 20 hours telling me I’d gone from 50% data useage to 85% to 100%. They can delay their messages 48 hours, but I certainly didn’t get them 48 hours apart and there is absolutely NO WAY I used 50% of my data within 20 hours. Their warning system is poor and two of the messages came through in the middle of… Read more
the night. Don’t want to speak with people off-shore who in a monotone voice just cite the standard jargon they are instructed to deliver. This is the last straw. Whole family is gone.
0 stars. pathetic service. unhelpful, O/S call centre. will leave you in the lurch. steer clear – If you don't pay your bill (credit card expired) they will not notify you by SMS. they will disable your phone. they will not re-enable your phone even after payment. their website is consistently 'under maintenance'. you have no option but to go to a public phone box and wait on hold endlessly to have it re-enabled. they cut you off every 15min if connected to a telstra network phone. will never deal with them again. Happy longterm customer – Long term customer. Rang customer support 2 days ago and got straight thru no waiting. Changed me and my daughters data usage plans around with no issues. Couldn’t be happier with service and support I was shopping around for the best deals but when reading bad reviews of some of the cheap companies poor customer service decided to stick with these guys. Can’t activate sim – Have been trying for 3 months to activate the sim. Their website says it is under maintenance and so I can’t activate. I’ve called and spoken to them. They can’t do anything, it has to be done online. Was told try again in a week. That was 2 months ago. Online doesn’t work. Refund my money and I’ll go elsewhere! Do not buy a sim from this company! Cant Activate SIM for more than a month – Tried to transfer a number from another provider - but their activation website has been down for almost a month. The on-line support team cant help me so I cant activate the SIM. They cant do the basic!!!
