Excellent system and customer service – I've been using the Ventis system for years. It's very effective, especially in summer when it extracts the hot air from the ceiling which can reach up to at least 40 degrees. So it certainly makes a big difference to the inside temperature.
waste of money – Had a ventis system installed about three years ago Worked well for about 18 months. The control unit display said the fan in the unit working on inspection this proved to false. Beware of ongoing costs ! – Filters have to be replaced every year at owners expense, and today we find the controller has not been working and also has to be replaced at owners expense (not cheap!) As we did not realize system was not working, was it doing anything???

Not fit for purpose and terrible customer service – OMG, whatever you do, don't buy a Ventis system! was overpromised and that the system wasn't fit for the purpose it was provided, and I got a full refund.
Although I asked them to, they didn't remove the system, so it's still in my roof cavity. Fast forward to today - March 2023 - and it's spontaneously turned itself on full blast, it's noisy, and using a ton of power, and it won't turn off.
Contacted Ventis and they're telling me that it's not their problem. That leaving this not-fit-for-purpose machine in my roof to eventually fail altogether and run flat strap without a way to turn it off is somehow MY PROBLEM. They want to charge me to send someone out to decomission it.
Upshot is that they'll promise it will do something it doesn't do, leave the gear in your roof after admitting it didn't do the job promised, and then totally disavow the situation when the gear they left behind malfunctions.
This information is subject to litigation and is completely vexatious.

always at a constant temperature and at times (during winter) we often dress then open the front door to find out that we have dressed inappropriately and need warmer clothes. I do find that if we have 3-4 overcast cold days, it is harder to warm the home but our bills are $300-$400 less a quarter than our old home that was half the size with ducted air con. Our bathroom is in the centre of our home and has no windows, we have noticed that our towels are always dry and never damp Recently we were effected by a huge storm and and 1/3 of our roof was destroyed, we lost ceiling and 80% of our insulation got wet (we removed all the insulation from our home within 3 days of the storm) and had copious water damage to our home. What can I say our home is completely dry, we have not developed any mould or further damage to our home. Because of the circulating air our ceiling dried out within 1-2 days and prevented any any further ceiling falling down. Mostly importantly, we were/are able to live in our own home while repairs take place (where many in our neighbourhood have been displaced, some hours away). Our insurance (make safe) could not believe, that with the damage we have received that we had no moisture issues at all (walls, floors, carpet or wardrobes). We also have young pre-teen kids at home and yes they often have some very funky smells, which I'm only assuming because of the Ventis, do not stick around very long (obviously the initial whiff but not the prolonged smell) I have gone from being the biggest sceptic to the biggest advocate of this product. The service and maintenance has been easy and the staff lovely to deal with. I definitely recommend this product and as a previous sceptic I can understand your fears but all I can say is if we ever moved again we will instal a new one. I'll never blink a eye in that decision again.
Ventis System is a must have for all skin allergy, sinusitis sufferers – I have had Ventis system for the last 6 years or so in my Canberra home. Tony Braybrook whom was the original salesperson whom has sold us the system years ago is still very involved and hands on in the business and nearly 2 weeks ago, came with another technical staff to help change my filter. He is friendly and highly knowledgeable about his technical knowledge of the Ventis system and once again, took me through a mini refresher course on how to operate my system.
I would definitely recommend the Ventis system to be installed in the homes of any allergy sufferers committed to improving the quality of their lives for the long term , as well as for environmentally conscious consumers whom is also keen to save on their heating and cooling bills in the long term as the Ventis system regulates the home room temperature by expelling heat or drawing heat from the roof to warm or cool the house accordingly.

ducted underfloor heater in the next gas bill and could not notice a rise in any electrcity usage. It warms the House in winter and cools it in summer (evenings - taking cool nightime air from the cavity). Email reminders come in for filter changes and also setting reminders at the change of season. It also gave clean air to the house during the bushfires which was choking other houses in a 300km radius. It also assists with spring time hayfever. Everyone with a roof cavity should have one of these for their health and comfort and to be environmentally friendly reducing excess fossil fuel use.

completely ignore my issue of the motor running. He totally disregarded the fact I rang about a fire hazard and not to be sold anything.His reply was that the motor cannot catch fire. His solution was to climb up into roof and unplug the motor.(I cannot get up due to injury of knees)Option 2 was to send a technician out to unplug the motor for $99... house is very old, filters last about 12mths depending on the roof cleanliness, extractor fan only lasted 4yrs, so now use solar extractor fans

had to go back get that. Told us 20 mins or so. He then called and said unfortunately his tool bag had been lost and was unable to do the work that was required. Was told someone would be in contact with me to reschedule a date. Never was contacted. I contacted them myself. I am now told it won’t be able to be done till the 10th of June which I’m unavailable that day. So next suitable day would be 24th of June. That is 5 weeks and 2 days away. So that’s 3 months from when I originally called. My ventis system is now not working at all which I made them away of that. Not impressed.

Not Happy – We bought our Ventis back in 2014 a couple of months after my parents installed there unit. They have a big house and required double whirly and filter system. There's still works with no issues. Mine on the other hand on Dec 2020 had to replace the auto whirly fan at a cost of $506 and then of course in Dec 2021 Im up for another replacement fan… Read more
in the MK2 box plus filter at a cost of $687.50 plus I also had to pay the call out fee of $99. Due to technician getting covid had my service appointment cancelled which I understand but Ill no longer get any repairs done to it what a waste of $5500 should have gone with ducted A/C.

over 3 years ago and we are still waiting. Calls unanswered and no help from the head office. We eventually called again to complain only to be told we would need to pay $1200 to have it fixed! Should had purchased Air Con / Expensive Spare Parts – Had the system install a few years ago. First the main fan blew, only explanation was "It happens" . Well that cost me nearly $700 . Fast forward another year and the control unit no longer works. Thats another $374 and basically now a completely new system. didn't just install a split air con system... ? Marketing got me.
Edit, after back and forth emails for 3 months, I figured out the SD card in the control unit was corrupt. I found some software online and managed to get the data off the Ventis SD card.
I purchased a new SD card from JB HifFi for $4 and copied all the data onto this, voila, system working again.
Ventis wanted $374.00 which included a $99 call out fee to replace a controller with a refurbished one.
I argued that all they needed to do was email me the software that was corrupt so I could copy it onto a new SD card (costs nothing right, no profit) or send me a new SD card with the software on it.
According to Ventis a new SD card costs $67 plus $12 postage. I explained to them JB HiFi sell these for $4.
Good customer service would had got the system up and running for me.
$374 is a cash grab considering I fixed it with next to no knowledge for $4.

Offer of free filter reneged – We recommended our neighbour install the Ventis system . Ventis had an offer that any recommendation would receive a free filter. In the meantime Ventis changed hands and the new management would not honour the offer. Show 4 replies
No cooling advantages experienced – I am not writing a review to be damning but just honest. slow to react. We would often have a 4 or 5 degree temperature variation (cooler outside 22 vs 27 degrees etc) and the jet fans just can't reign in that differential. At no time overnight does it tend to get closer (lower to that outside temp) I would have been happy with 2/3 degrees cooler outside than inside but not 5. The Aircon we use in the home for cooling, is used sparingly, but our summer electricity bill went up 13% from the same summer period the year before (without the Ventis.) I love the idea behind what it should do, but the simple fact is, it just doesn't do that. If the jets were more powerful and pulled the air through faster and more effectively it could be a good system, but I couldn't say it is good, effective system for $8000. Nope. Bit disappointed. The next step is in about 9 months time whether we should purchase the new filter replacements or just leave the system idle (off) in the home.

Excellent Product – My wife and I are very happy with our Ventis installation, which we have had now for over 4 years. It helps alleviate my asthma and makes the house feel fresh and less prone to odours. It is also good for heating and cooling the house, especially during the periods between the extremes of summer heat and winter cold. The service from the Ventis team has been very good, with special thanks to Tony Brooks.
Don’t waste your money – Rubbish. It’s so noisey that we had to turn it off, so it just sits there doing nothing. A complete waste of $5000. Company has come out to add insulation (at an additional charge), but it did not make it any quieter.
Much valued part of our home – We had wanted Ventis from the time it was first advertised but our flat-roofed house was incompatible. residents are afraid of opening the windows... ever! So we have fresh, clean, air constantly.
It hasn't delivered the cooling/warming functionality to the degree we'd hoped (as others have stated) but we have no pre-ventis situation to compare with so it possibly is better than I'm giving credit.
Only drawback is that it has no ability to fit with our home-automation system.

Our house is much better with Ventis – We’ve had our Ventis installed for over three years now and love it! Our house is 100 years old and had damp and mould issues and was freezing in Winter. The Ventis has solved the damp and mould problems and the house is much fresher and warmer now. We still use our heater but much less than we used to. I’d recommend Ventis to anyone.
Getting a Ventis is the best thing we ever did – Me and my son are both asthma and allergy sufferers and we began looking at the Ventis system to relieve some of the symptoms. straight forward (drilling thru concrete slab). I asked Gary if an installer could come out and check exactly that the access was okay and that everything would be feasible. The last thing I want is to accept a quote and then they start the job and realise it's more complicated than they anticipated. So Gary got his top installer, a contractor - not a Ventis employee, to call me & tee up a time. We arranged a date/time twice, and the contractor didn't call & didn't show up twice. When he did finally turn up he was friendly & informative but never got back to me with the information / quote he said he would. I never heard from him.

heating/cooling benefits have increased exponentially and the effectiveness has expanded well beyond the peak Spring/Autumn periods of the standard product. Current daytime temperatures are often in the 30's, but The Ventis system is efficiently circulating afternoon/nighttime cooler air throughout the house from outside, providing a great environment for a good night's sleep.
As a consequence, heating and cooling costs have dramatically decreased, with the need for aircon reduced to a couple of hours per day on only the hottest of sumer days

You notice difference – Recently our ventis system fan needed replacing, the unit was out of action for several weeks .During this period my wife & I notice a real difference in air quality & more use of our central gas heating. One of the big things we noticed was that one of our sons temperament and school results changed dramatically due to the fact he was sleeping the night through and was not constantly waking due to his breathing or coughing. As usual the technicians (who as I was informed are qualified tradesman) were polite and careful with the installation not leaving any marks on the ceiling and doing a tidy job in the roof. They also notified me that I had a gas leak in my attic which was later confirmed by my plumber so they really do go above and beyond in their service. As I state in the heading Ventis is essential in every home.
Excellent – Hi Chay B, you need Ventis to service your system. Sounds like it has never been done. I had their system in my previous home, which had a pitched roof, and I had no issue with allergens. Since I have moved to a house with a flat roof my nose is always blocked and I have sneezing bouts. I wish Ventis could develop a system for flat roofed homes. I have no proof of purchase as I left all documentation to the people who bought my house.
Excellent back up service – We have had Ventis for 5 years now & love it- no more mould to deal with & purer air quality. Once a year HO contact us re changing the filters & at each change of season we get an email advising us to alter our settings eg: winter or summer. The technicians who come to change the filter are always polite and helpful with any queries we may have.

ago. We cleaned the mould away for the last time when the ventis system was switched on and it hasn’t come back since. My son’s allergies calmed down, no more watery eyes or constant runny nose. We also loved the added bonus in winter for reduced need to use out heaters and summer reduced use of AC. Very happy with our Ventis. has made our home so much more comfortable all year round.
Fantastic unit i would give 10 stars – I have had my Ventis since 2012 great service phone call every yr. For filter.change... nothing ever problem .. unit i would never be without..less use of using heating /cooling unit
