purchased 2 wall hung toilets 3 years ago. Have already had a full seat replacement under warranty due to soft close failing, now the soft close has failed again (liaising with retailer for another warranty claim). design fault and embarrassing for the company from an environmental stand point. As with other reviewers complaints, the plastic stains very easily (seems like it’s porous/poorly sealed). Not what you expect at the very high price point - I first had a bad feeling when I saw the V&B stamp on the porcelain was a crooked…..I don’t think attention to detail is their priority. Unless things have drastically changed since my purchase, I’d recommend steerING clear of purchasing their toilets.

Don't waste your money., – Terrible company to deal with and products are rubbish. We paid $900 for a toilet and the pan was replaced after a month because it was faulty, not fired properly. plumber to install it. Never had a problem in 10 years with my cheap Bunnings toilet. Also the rim and pads on the seat have discoloured after very little use. Customer service tell me it is my fault from using the wrong cleaning products. I only use natural cleaning products. Their toilets are bad quality and service is non existent.

flush button and the cistern has snapped. Talking to neighbours in the same building it appears that we're not the only ones experiencing this problem. Now we're just waiting and expecting to pay for repairs to all the toilets again over the next few years. Clearly, the current cable assembly design is not fit for purpose. Not good enough from what is purportedly a quality brand.

 Follow-up  · As suggested, I contacted the Argent customer support team. Crappy toilet suites O Novo 2.0 BTW S Trap – I work for a builder and this toilet is a White Elephant. Purchased two of these and installed by qualified plumber for a new built and since then the plumber had to return twice to check why the outlet valves are leaking. the flush flow by the time your finger holding on the button. In addition, the flush button do not line up correctly - it depends how loose or tight you screw the buttons in but they never lined up so the pricey brand name Villaroy & Boch can look upside down or if you are lucky, it could end up on a 45 degree angle. It is a design defect!

Argent Australia (importer) has sent their authorized plumber and he also confirmed the leaks from the outlet valves and confirmed the clumsiness of installing the flush buttons. Now I had to wait another 2 weeks for someone to return to fix the issues.

Save your money and get any of the hundreds of brands out there, many of them are 10 times cheaper and work 10 times better than this expensive and crappy toilet suites. I am concerned that I will have to keep calling the plumber in to fix and maintain these crappy toilets. Pardon the pun!

from Villeroy Boch thus far, which is ridiculous. They keep breaking and we are a light weight family. Can't image would would happen if we weighed 90kg or more.

Secondly, the float valves have all started to fail. Constant dribbling into the main bowl. Had one replace yesterday and the plumber said this mechanism is ridiculously complex and replaced it with a much simpler mechanism.

Now today, the float valve in other bathroom toilet is exhibiting the same issue. WTH !! Really, is this how my nightmare begins?

Finally, this is a little more cosmetic but the top flush button is designed to look like it's a two flush mechanism. eg. big button for big flush and small button for small flush. This is sadly not the case and is just one button overall. Very poor design and misleading to consumers.

Question, why are these things built in such a rubbish manner, what ever happened to the good old, dependable, reliable Chroma and Fowler toilets of the past, which are sadly no longer made in Australia and are instead sourced at the lowest possible price from China or similar and we're now expected to pay top dollar for this imported trash.

Villeroy Booch should get their engineering QA team to inspect these toilets carefully, instead of just buying them from China at a low price and just sticking their name on it. It's a disgrace and insult to the Villeroy Bock name and deeply saddened many previously dependable consumer goods have become nothing but throw away trash

Do yourself a favour and stay well away from these ones

seat lid and it looks as though I haven't cleaned it - see photo. The only option to have an unblemished seat lid is to purchase a new replacement, which is the O.Novo style at over $220 per seat, and the whole process begins again. Furthermore, the replacement seats don't fit properly and the seat moves around. Don't buy these toilets. I've also had to replace the flush button on one as well. In the last 12 months (2023) all four of my V & B Pavia toilets started to leak water from the tops of the cisterns. They all broke at the same time (within 3 months of each other) after 5 years of use. Had to engage a plumber to fix all four toilets at a considerable cost.

Worst company ever and the products are rubbish – Worst toilet ever and absolutely no help from customer care. It’s faulty and needs replacing and has never worked. Has cost me thousands on plumbers and is again broken. Customer service don’t care and treat you like rubbish. The entire Villeroy Boch products I did in all my bathrooms is crap. Better off with Bunnings crap than anything from Villeroy Boch! Expensive crap!

Not a good product – We bought a o novo toilet in 2020. We have had to replace the flush button 2 x. And fix the flushing mechanism x 1, then it didn't work for long so had to replace the whole mechanism. Do not bother buying this toilet, unless you want to be ordering spare parts on a regular basis. The new flush button is $42, as it only had a 3 yr warranty! Show details

call with the parent company Argent. They don't get back to you, so after chasing them, eventually they sent a plumber out only to tell me my water pressure is too high and I now need to spend more money to install a water restrictor. I advised this does not happen with other taps in the house, I was advised under the Australian standard this tap is not warranted because the rating is max. 500kPa it's in the instructions, I advised how could I know this when I hadn't bought the tap to get the instructions to tell me, the salesperson at HN didn't state the water pressure and why would I know my water pressure from the mains in the street to my house, I'm not a plumber. I contacted Argent again and asked for a refund as this does not suit. I was sent an email saying your case is closed. That's it. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and product. Wasted $400 on a tap + plumbing installation cost and the tap screams at me. Please people do not give these thieves your money, you will be ripped off.

Worst toilet seats ever – I have two V&B toilets that I installed 8 years ago. Toilets are okay but the seats are terrible. Always yellow under the rim even though I follow the cleaning instructions. The yellowing can’t be removed and the only option is to replace the seats at a crazy price for them to do the same thing again within a year or two. I’m replacing them again now - it’s so frustrating. I’ve never had another toilet seat brand that does this.

Villoroy and boch spa bath review – I wouldn’t recommend this spa brand to anyone. We’ve hardly used it, I’m taking around 15 times maximum in 3 years and it stopped working suddenly. Never Again – The old Caroma toilet has never had a single issue but we wanted something a bit fancy for the new bathroom so purchased the Villeroy & Boch O.NOVO 2.0 DIRECTFLUSH BTW TOILET about 2 years ago. The water keeps flushing and of course the warranty is only for spare parts as Cass Brothers sold us the 5 year warranty. I would never buy this one again and the service from Cass Brothers has been very disappointing.

Poor quality toilet suit and pathetic service from Villeroy & Boch – In 2006 I purchased a Villeroy & Boch Omnia Pro back to wall toilet suit with CERAMIC PLUS. Not long after purchase I complained that the toilet was extremely difficult to clean and that with ceramic plus it is supposed to be easy to clean. it was used this area would be soiled and require cleaning each time.

Villery and Boch inspected the issue and basically told me that in their expert opinion there is nothing wrong with the suit and that they are not willing to replace the toilet. They said toilets have to be cleaned. I have put up with the issues since installation and now the seal has perished and I have had to remove the toilet to replace the seal. On removal and on placing the toilet back against the wall I have found that due to the poor quality of the construction the toilet sits at least 15mm from the wall and this gap was and would again need to be filled with silicone.

As an engineer, this would have to be the worst manufacturing quality that I have seen and I consider the product not fit for purpose and due to all of the issues I have decided to purchase a complete new suit.

I would welcome communication regarding this matter from Argent Australia.

I will never purchase another Villery & Boch product.

I sent an email to customer service at Villeroy and Boch expressing disappointment and asking when I could expect delivery (Mum's Birthday was then past), and after a couple of days I received a response that looked like it had been typed by a teenager apologising for the delay - but no follow up. I have always considered Villeroy and Boch a trusted quality brand, but their customer service is completely inconsistent with this.

whopping $1000 plus need electrician. My humble Medina I think it was called at a 5th the cost was super reliable and never failed over 10 years. High prices, low quality. Poor service. reach customer service, of course Covid 19 the standard excuse. Emails weren't answered, and I was just lucky to get someone on the phone after endless attempts. I was told that one item was not in stock, so V&B found it appropriate to hold back the complete order and not notify the customer. I said mail it and refund the glass set that's out of stock. I'm now fighting for a refund of 47$ since December last year. My emails aren't answered, I don't bother to call. One answered my email a few weeks ago, did do the wrong credit note, since then I never heard again. I posted the invoice, order and screenshot what I had paid and what the invoice was to the email again, no answer. I will now report this to the ACCC on Monday, if I have no positive answer and proof the money has been refunded back into my card.

This is ridiculous behavour and total ignorance. V&B is on old very reputable German company, and I will still purchase their products, but I want my money refunded for goods not delivered. It's now over six month. Unacceptable.

V & B got their supplier to contact me and he was able to give me (after seeing photos of my toilet) the model of the toilet together with the name of the matching toilet seat. The toilet seat paint and rubber are turning yellow – We bought 3 Villeroy & boch toilet suite 6 years ago. After 2 years all the rubber and paint started turning yellow. We called customer service and they sent 3 replacements but they all started doing the same thing turning yellow. We bought this brand but was very disappointed with the quality. We had cheaper brand toilets in our last house and 20 years later they are still white in color. Go spend your money on another brand. Show details

Villaroy and Boch Toilets – How I wish I had read these reviews before buying three. One developed cracks and needed replacing and all require cleaning after EVERY number two. The service technician’s only response to my second problem was to increase the flush but the problem is still there. Not good enough for an expensive German brand.

Don't waste your money – Bought a Villaroy and Boch ceramic casserole dish 2 years ago because i have always held this brand in high regard. However, the dish now has a large crack in it and is no longer fit for purpose. We have always ensured it was at room temperature before putting in the oven but didn't last the distance. cistern meet doesn't fit properly and shows raw ceramic, that is no porcelain coating. Contacted Argent to their credit they gave me a new cistern, however the plumber said a huge job to remove the whole toilet (pan included) just to replace the cistern. Plumber said Argent are the only brand that he knows of that requires this to be done. Not sure what to do here as brand new install and will cost alot of major removal and re-install with possibly issues with new cistern alignment. Still deciding. Only bought pan (thank goodness) for upstairs guest toilet. Pan is all wavy at the back behind seat when run a cloth over it. Not impressed at all. Thank goodness I made decision to go with Geberit for in wall cistern and flush mount plate. My suggestion is steer clear. My parents bought a mondello from Bunnings for much cheaper and it's 100% better.

difference between half and full flush is ONLY 1.5litres! Did offer to send plumber out but if they found no fault then we had to pay service charge!! How ridiculous when this is a newly installed toilet and has not been used yet. My recommendation is not to buy this brand toilet as too complicated, poor customer service and on reading other reviews I can expect cistern breakage problems as well! This company is living off its past glory, not progressive and just interested in sales and not followup! Most disappointed!!
